Tawanchai is LEGIT (pronounced his name right this time )
Watch him fight THIS FRIDAY on PPV at ONEFC.com! #ONEFridayFights46
I'd be more intrigued by an individual critique of the fighters instead of hearing more about distance management each breakdown ;)
But will be beat Rodtang.. wait a min you finished him. I digress. Keep Doing your thing MIGHTY GOAT MOUSE
@@BigPapi5584He Beat rodtang in MMA in muay Thai No Chance
Your emoji lmao
Nahhh
Love the kickboxing and muay Thai fights on One. It blows my mind that so many people miss out because of brand loyalty....
especially when so many complain about not liking grappling in MMA.
Very true! The same people booing dudes for grappling in UFC won’t even acknowledge One FC…
And I only recently found out it’s free with Amazon Prime.
UFC loyalists are the worst. Its not just the complaints about grappling, they also seem to care for promotional content more than the actual fights.
Because of that fanbase Dana is confident doing things like his Power Slap embarrassment, or selling out to the cancer that is Budlight. He also had no problem downplaying one of the obvious motives behind the WWE merger.
If you like kickboxing then you should watch K-1 and RISE as well !
the best part of the ufc
Tawanchai employs a similiar strategy to other southpaw Thai fighters such as Yodsanklai and Petpanomrung. They are targeting the orthodox fighter's right arm on purpose to cause damage and reduce punching power in the later rounds. The ideal goal is for the opponent to lower his arm so they can land a head kick. In this fight it just happens that he broke his arm before any of that could play out.
How do you defend that kick on your arm?
Like MM was saying in the video, footwork was the best option in this scenario. Circle away from the opponents power side and try to draw them in with feints.@@edddie26
Some fighters employ the strategy of blocking the kick and countering, that may have worked if it was a different opponent but Tawanchai's left kick is so powerful it off balances Kiria at times. The other option I've seen fighters employ is to completely avoid the kick altogether but that leaves a tiny window of opportunity for Kiria, because he wants to get into punching range to unleash his combinations, but Kiria would have to avoid the kick, then cover the distance into punching range and throw his punches, which leaves less openings to attack vs absorbing the kick and countering. @@edddie26
@@edddie26 no be there
Not to mention even a blocked kick in open stance has thr force vector perpendicular to the feet, meaning it's very likely to stumble or off balance.
Tawanchai is a freaking beast. His fluidity and relaxation are amazing.
DJ: "Shorter fighters in Kick Boxing get fucked up".
Saenchai: "Hold my beer....."
short for a weight category
@@cesarpl6137 i guess it went over your head... Saenchai fights people up to 6 inches taller than him a lot of the times and wins. Some even being in a heavier weight category.
@@KaesOner DJ means at avergae
@@TypicalNobody-bi6eu Saenchai not being average is the joke
@@TypicalNobody-bi6eu You guys know he is just making a joke, right? He isn't criticizing DJ, he is just giving props to Saenchai. It's all in good fun. Fun Fact. Tawanchai actually trained under saenchai well at least he trained at Pk saenchai MuayThaiGym. Saenchai's Gym.
i know they dont get as many views as the ufc breakdowns but im loving these one fc kickboxing and muay thai breakdowns. Im a kickboxer and getting free tape breakdowns of such high level fights from a combat sports legend is so helpful. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas dj 🐐🐐🐐
To be fair, Tawanchai, if it was muay thai would have elbowed the crap out of Kira once they got into the clinch. You could see Tawanchai wanting to elbow uppercut a few times as Kira was wide open for elbows.
looked like he even slipped up once and hit him with a crossing elbow
Yes, he always obviously wide open.
I just felt like if the rules allow the elbow then this fight had to be a bloodbath fight because he really want to come inside at the sweet spot bt himself too. Lol
if this Muaythai rules it should be end in a few sec
Freaking love these DJ breakdowns! Dude is a gem in the combat sports world.
I'm a super fan of muay thai. A bit about Tawanchai.. At 18 years of age he already won the prestigious Fighter of year award. He is the prodigy of the GOAT Saenchai and touted as a generational talent. Super technical fighter and oh.. he is only 24 this year. For female fighter, watch Petchjeeja.. at just 20 years old she already won more than 200 fights.. she fought boys when she was young due to the lack of female opponents.
Mighty Mouse!!!!! Love your break down videos, keep them coming!! I saw you fight up in Anchorage Alaska back in 2010 you are a beast then and you’re a bigger beast now
You're perspective in these breakdowns is invaluable, thanks MM!
I'm Georgian and got pissed because he took out our guy for atleast a year lol. He's a great and powerful fighter, good luck to him on the upcoming fight
This is a very in depth kickboxing breakdown thank you for this one DJ🙏🏽
The best fight related channel on TH-cam. 🥊🤘
Ty for content DJ! Very happy to see that Tawanchai has gotten your attention! He deserves it!
Love these breakdowns man, love you even more tho mightyyyy
Love it when the goat of mma introduces us to talented fighters from different combat sports.
I can't imagine the kind of power a proffesional fighter must have😢
Tawanchai has unique power with those kicks, that power aint normal for a pro!
Leg kick is equivalent to swinging a baseball bat at someone, your legs are just a foldable baseball bat :p
Except my flexibility is bad so I only have a baseball bat for the calf, leg, and body. My baseball bat turns to a question mark kick for the head, so it’s only like a small object (foot and not shin) 😢
Well they fight for money and if they win by KO they automatically get $50,000
F that I can’t imagine the level of dedication for someone to take all the hits to the same place and keep going
Amazing breakdown MM. thanks so much.
DJ, would love to see you talk about Buakaws fights. The one where he destroyed Takayuki is him before he got famous and the final with Masato as well
ahaa i watched the superbon breakdown dont worry GOAT ahahah great vid again!
Dang!!! I trip out when people make it seem like the east has no great fighters. Striking killers. Glad more people are waking up to ONE
Who say that
Boy ain’t nobody says that
@zzzzzz69 friends I know stuck on UFC
@JackHarkins-no6ck you are right girl.
@@michaelsolis6463 why would they think this, is it bullshido stuff that created this perception, or do they not pay attention outside of their own scene
Muay Thai is the dominant force in all-around striking, while grappling and boxing are more prevalent in the West
thx for the vid bro
Subbed! Thanks for the video 😊🥰💜
Really looking forward to Tawanchai v Superbon. I'm giving the edge to Tawanchai, as Superbon seems to have been mostly focused on KB for the last several years.
Love your breakdowns brother.
Please react to more Tawanchai he is my favorite Muay Thai fighter. I love this content
What are the odds of you reacting to some of Buakaw’s early K1 fights? Would love to hear your thoughts on those heavy kick dominant fights
Wow this is genuienly awesome hearing a professional fighter breaking down stuff
This is literally free coaching, thank you
Buakaw said it best, once you take a real kick from a Muay Thai master, you will find out if you want to continue to fight
I think Tawanchai concentration and relaxation near to the level of Lerdsila but not in tactical mauy as Lerd’s style more in the striking mauy
Wow, I learned so much from you, thanks for the video! Tawanchai is a beast, I am his fan now.
Love the Super Ghost & Ghouls reference! Such a hard game lol.
I love the breakdowns from someone that knows what he is talking about
I've been watching these "Friday Night fights" on TH-cam every friday morning while I workout...Someday I'll understand Muay Thai rules... ONE does seem to do a good job of matchmaking and they usually have at least a couple of MMA fights for the US audience.
Please do a review on The Monster Naoya Inoue VS Marlon Tapalas. 🙏
You should’ve analysed the smokin Jo fight
@MightyGamingX can you make a video on regian eersel, he is also great fighter!
Can you breakdown Smokin Jo Nattawut VS Tawanchai?
Tawanchai is also smart enough to know that you are feinting to get him to throw that kick, miss and attempting to close distance. As soon as you go for it he'll teep you back and resume what he's doing.
I enjoy hearing your fight strategy.
Kiria’s corner should’ve said everything what you have said. But they didn’t.
But at the same time, Kiria should’ve figured that part out too.
I can feel the frustration, Mr. Mighty had when stop break flight flow.
It is similar when I first see MMA fight: technical strike was reduce due to take down, sophisticated throw were out due to leg grab or leg, calf kick. lower stance take-down technique of western wrestling was lost. But after awhile I learn to what MMA as another type of combat sport and under what rules effecting a fight.
After awhile I learn to appreciate rule or lack of rule, that promote specialize in certain technique for "combat sport". Clear example, is boxing still being appreciated as combat sport even lack of kick or ground, as it allow specialize punching, footwork, bobbing to be displayed. Judo, wrestling also be examples, allow strike can take out advance throw take down.
Of cause, IRL MMA, is better adapt for non-weapon fights, in term of effectiveness.
In seriousness, in one-on-one real fight, I still think run-jitsu is the best for effective POV.
As a shorter guy for my weight class when I kickboxed I used to close the void really quickly and stay super close to a taller fighter because they can't get full power behind their shots when you're close to them, and you can eat those shots all day. His issue is when he's trying to close the gap he's going high, if he straight jabs to the center mass then hooks to the lower body he can close that gap, and if he needs to back out you back out with a kick to the siatic
When did he do a breakdown of superbon? I didn't get any notification of that.
Fire breakdown
Love the vids goat 🐐 🙌
I Love One Championship especially the Muay Thai fights, as myself do an love the old school values in respect between fighters an how it does not promote disrespect an trash talking like some of past an former crazies in the UFC
Much love from tha 210 homie oss.
your breakdowns are ELITE. Have you ever cornered anyone?
You should coach someone when you retire, you're so knowledgeable
Ayo goat, u need to watch more of him, this matcj doesn't show how versatile he is..he just won in the most obvious way.
This was actually very useful. Doing kickboxing and i am always the shorter guy. I do not compete, but all my sparring is like this. Me trying to close the distance and them punching or kicking me like a bag. After new year i will try to apply the lessons from this video.
I competed in kickboxing as a stocky guy and it was honestly pretty frustrating. Part of the reason why I moved into boxing and MMA. Just felt like I had more tools available to me. Or grappling, where it’s not a disadvantage at all.
I think kickboxing is like being short playing basketball being taller is better. 😢
at least in muay thai you can grapple fk the taller guys but in kickboxing your sadly out of tools
Hi Mighty Mouse, may I ask how you analyze your opponent during the fight? Some of the Muay Thai fights I had, I never knew who my opponents were, what their strengths are,... so basically any analysis happened in the ring. And for an amateur like me, I did not really analyze anything and just followed the flow. I mean if you could stay sane enough to understand what's going on and exploit their weaknesses, that would be great (and great for your fight IQ)
@Mighty
Tawanchai is going as fav in the next fight against Superbon.
you should check Tawanchai Muaythai fights.
Superbon vs Tawan is Muaythai rules not K1.. I think Superbon's last Muaythai fight was like 10 years ago if I am not wrong.
Fight going to be in MMA gloves...
Forget the power, the way he shift his leg from forward to the power position is phenomenal without telegraphing.
It's damn near invisible.
Ramon Dekkers was a Muay Thai fighter. “ The Diamond “ RIP. He was a a Muay Mat , Thai fighters who uses punhhes and low kicks.
Tawanchai and chingiz are my favorite fighters not just in one
Tawanchais is gonna be the GOAT. His speed and technique are incredible.
Hearing the sounds of the kicks landing 💀. You know its going to be a very rough couple of weeks post fights.
I wonder what you think about Nong O vs Brice Deval. Nong O was fighting a much taller opponent there in Muay Thai rules, would love to hear your analysis there!
Finally you react to this fight
You probably need to watch more of his fights. The dude is a monster.
tawanchai fights this friday gonna be hype
kiria is solid guy too has great boxing but he is small for the division
I’m starting to understand the void! Taught by the goat!
My career in. kickboxing was very brief, one of the best moves I ever made!
I know dj fought rodtang in a muay thai cross sport fight id love to see you fight inoue in a boxing fight or cross sport boxing fight
Man, I love your fight breakdowns 😏 🫡 🐭 💪🏼 🐐 🥊🦵🏼🤼👊🏼💥
Good advice
Reupload the Superbon video! I can’t find it on your channel
I get the impression that had Kiria not constantly gone for the clinch and instead opted for boxing *at* clinch distance, he would have been much more competitive in the fight.
You're a genius for sure
Man Tawanchai makes me proud to be left handed/southpaw thanks for breaking this down boss O>
would luring the oponent into the void also be good idea in boxing? I have one mate at the gym he's like 190 with long arms hitting across half of the ring. Wondering how to get him best.
It’s a shame that kickboxing banned the clinch. Buakaw and overeem really changed the game
Kiria keeps stepping onto tawanchais power leg.
The same reason DJ doesnt like KB is why I love it. You have to be a better striker to beat your opponent you can't just change the game into wrestling.
Got hit with that Android 18 special....
4:14 Tawanchai's lil grin after being headbutted ^^
Oh you learned how to pronounce his name! 😂
What about Mike zambadis? he is also a shorter fighter but fearsome too.
Breakdown petchmorakot vs tawanchai
Wanna hear mighty mouse breakdown some fights with fighting game terms sometime.
Something like "see, right here. He crosses the void with a double jab and then snaps a lead leg roundhouse to the body. He has plus frames right here. He can use his plus frames to throw out a gauranteed safe strinf right here and keep the plus frames and grow them but instead, he throws out a high risk move right here. If that move didn't connect or worse, it got read and countered. He would lose. He keeps doing these exciting moves instead of just doing what it takes to win. This will bite him in the behind eventually or... It'll pay off because even if he loses, it'll be exciting and he won't run out of matches."
can you make warzone 3 gameplays?
Something they always train in Muay Thai is testing your opponent’s ribcage it’s the foundation to punches and kicks
Hopefully you have watch more then this fight of his. His hands are top level too. This was just an odd matchup for both fighters.
What new striking coach did mm get that makes him talk about the void in every single video now?
Do breakdowns for Anissa Meksen and Phetjeeja. I have a feeling that fight will be better than the other two main events. Anissa Meksen is THE BEST female kickboxer and Phetjeeja is THE BEST female Muay Thai fighter.
will be a real test for Phetjeeja for sure
That is why you are the GOAT!
Did you delete the SuperBon Breakdown?! 😭
This guy is my favorite striker
Watched this live and my goodness the noise of those leg kicks were hideous! Tawanchai is on road to being the greatest.
He needs more challenging opponents
@@maddiesiegmund5623He won against superbon, he's already the Greatest featherweight nak muay rn
@@maddiesiegmund5623 Chingiz Allazov
Tawanchai one of my fav fighters
You can tell kiria’s arm was fractured well into the 2nd round and he couldn’t use that right hand in his boxing to help cross the void.
Do a review on shavkat rakhmonov
Tawanchai my fav dude in OnE rn
I dont think that many people are going to know the difficulty of Ghosts N Goblins or Super Ghouls N Ghosts
Oh I spent enough money on the arcade to know how difficult Ghost N Goblins was! 🙂
