Thank you Rob - Great information. Question for you - Do you use vCarve on a Macintosh using Parallels? I believe you mentioned at one point that you do. vCarve 11.5 works for me using Parallels but when I updated to 12 - 12 does not work. Is 12 working for you? Thank you.
Sorry for delayed response. Yes I do use vCarve Pro and Aspire on my MacBook Pro using parallels. I have a 2023 16" MacBook Pro fully pumped up with all the options for memory, speed, etc. It worked like a camp until V12. In V12 I have been experiencing some challenges especially in the Preview Simulations and in working with 3D models. I am trying to work through these and get them better documented so maybe Vectric can help me work through these. I miss using my MAcBook for 3D models. Switched back to my windows machine til I get this worked out. I am going to Vectric User Group in Austin in October. I I don't get resolved before them will talk face to face with Vectric so I can show them what I am experiencing more easily than email back and forth.
@@RobSandstromDesigns - An update for you. I updated my MacOS to 15 beta. Since then the new version of VCarve seems to work great. Hope this helps you out too.
@@JayHuemann that i terrific information. Unfortunately, I don't think I have access to MacOS beta. Do you know how I can get access. Guess I will start to google it.
I'm a newbi and going in HUGE circles. Last week I purchased the Pro version and installed it on my Win11 desktop. Initially when I opened it I could see the tabs/toolbar on the left and right sides. Today I cannot see any of the tabs/toolbars. Gee whiz, this software has a super steep learning curve!
There certainly is some learning needed. But I'll bet soon you will be mastering things and it will start becoming second nature. Did you get your tabs back yet? If not, go back into the options section and reset defaults and that should bring things back to how the software initially loaded. If you are still having a problem, reach out to me via my contact page one my website and we can get together over Zoom to try and work through your issue. My website is robsandstromdesigns.com
