If they had gone medieval route they could’ve had it had the tone of a Yiasaki movie with having whimsical tone and had a stark difference between the lightheartedness of the beautiful world and cute friendly mobs from the darkness of the more unsettling locations and hostile monster mobs. Have the Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, Pigmen, and Endermen be portrayed like the evil/savage monsters and creatures from Lord of the Rings while the animals Pigs, Cows, Sheep, and good natured supernatural beings Villagers, Mooshrooms, Golems be portrayed like from Studio Ghibli or something wholesome.
There’s two ways they could take it that wouldn’t be horrendous, either make it entirely animated and cartoony, or make it entirely live action, almost like a lord of the rings movie but in the Minecraft world, but it’s this weird mashup between the both that looks so ahh

Also you are so right man, I have been playing since I was like 5 or 6 which for me was 10 years ago which is insane. Growing up with and still to this day playing Minecraft is in some ways beautiful. If I hop on the game (bonus points if I play any song from the alpha playlists), I almost shed a tear. But when I see this movie and they play something like Sweden... there is no saving it. Also for some reason based on all the piglins we see, I think this movie is based off of Minecraft Legends🤢. I'll be 100%, I am more excited for the Minecraft Netflix show than this movie. We have only seen an announcement for the show but at least it is going to be animated and look like Minecraft. I don't even know how Mojang gave this a green light. Now this movie isn't going to ruin Minecraft for me and a lot of people, but it will for sure ruin them making any more films like this.

Honestly if they expect to make a good film, they should take notes from Minecraft Story Mode. Personally, when the rumors of there being a Minecraft Movie were first dropped, I was expecting it to be a sort of Minecraft Story Mode animation, or a Minecraft Update trailer, specifically animated like the nether/raid updates. When i heard that there were going to be actors though, (specifically Jack Black as Steve) I already lost hope for the movie. Now seeing it makes me want Warner Bros to pull a sonic. 4:28 you can actually see a villager in the shot of the castle in the trailer and they are not real people. Also you are so right man, I have been playing since I was like 5 or 6 which for me was 10 years ago which is insane. Growing up with and still to this day playing Minecraft is in some ways beautiful. If I hop on the game (bonus points if I play any song from the alpha playlists), I almost shed a tear. But when I see this movie and they play something like Sweden... there is no saving it. Also for some reason based on all the piglins we see, I think this movie is based off of Minecraft Legends🤢. I'll be 100%, I am more excited for the Minecraft Netflix show than this movie. We have only seen an announcement for the show but at least it is going to be animated and look like Minecraft. I don't even know how Mojang gave this a green light. Now this movie isn't going to ruin Minecraft for me and a lot of people, but it will for sure ruin them making any more films like this.

Honestly if they expect to make a good film, they should take notes from Minecraft Story Mode. Personally, when the rumors of there being a Minecraft Movie were first dropped, I was expecting it to be a sort of Minecraft Story Mode animation, or a Minecraft Update trailer, specifically animated like the nether/raid updates. When i heard that there were going to be actors though, (specifically Jack Black as Steve) I already lost hope for the movie. Now seeing it makes me want Warner Bros to pull a sonic. Disappointed at the least.

Ya but it's gonna be a series, and I love shows and all of that but what a movie. Why can't we just get an animated Minecraft movie, why is it so hard to do it. Nobody wanted a live action Minecraft movie, maybe some but I can bet most people who play Minecraft never would have wanted this unless they did it right, which they didn't. I hope they pull a ugly sonic but yet again we got to remember that this movie is being made by WB, and they are allergic to money.

Atleast Minecraft Story Mode came up with a good plot
This is like going on a trip you have been waiting for for over a year only for it to start raining that day.
There are actual animators who remeade the I am Steve, scene which I actually prefer than live action.
They need to put Ryan Ronald's as Steve and remove Jason as Dewayne Johnson.
WB never had the experience of loading up one of those high resolution texture packs and shaders and then realizing it's just a gimmick that doesn't actually make it look better. "Realistic" is not always better.
