think she's glutton though... let's say she did get the heart. she seems very prideful about using her magic, so I doubt she would give it up, and I bet her youth would vanish within a month, if not that.... lol. :>3
Fun fact, Michelle Pfeiffer was the first actress offered the role of Jadis The White Witch in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (2005). Michelle Pfeiffer definitely would've owned the role 1000% since she is great at playing villianesses. And could've easily portrayed the ice cold persona of Jadis well. But Tilda Swinton slayed the role anyway.
I agree. Tilda Swinton did nail the role perfectly. But several other great actreses could've done the same. Pfeiffer definitely. And Charlize Theron (remember her incredible performance as Evil Queen Ravenna?) And in my opinion, I think Cate Blanchett could've also done an amazing performance as the witch.
@@deletedaccount1990 To be honest I think Michelle Pfeiffer, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman, Helena Bonham Carter, or Charlize Theron should've been cast as Jeanine Mathews in the Divergent series. No disrespect to Kate Winslet but I think she has too much of a "good girl" vibe to her, for me to take her seriously in a villain role. I think Cate, Michelle, Tilda, Nicole, Helena, and Charlize are better suited to play evil villain roles like Jeanine Mathews from Divergent.
@@deletedaccount1990 I also think that Nicole Kidman is amazing at playing villain roles. Since she played an iconic antagonist in the film To Die For (1995). And I also believe that Nicole Kidman is another actress that could've played the role of Jadis The White Witch in The Chronicles of Narnia perfectly.

*SPOILER ALERT* Lamia (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) turned people into animals (including goats). I just watched "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" in which Michelle stars as Queen Ingrith. At the end, Ingrith was turned into a goat by Maleficent. Doesn't it ring a bell?
You won't believe it , but I know the movie Stardust for so long... and As I am writing this comment now 2 hours ago I watched maleficent mistress of evil and I was amazed ONCE AGAIN by Michelle's performance. So I decided to watch Stardust again. Yeah now I am watching it, the PC is in front of me . But I just wanted to check some of her powerful scenes so here I am.
I love this movie, Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses of all time!!! When I was younger I remember seeing her in People's Magazine, as one of the most beautiful women in the world....that has never changed!
I've watched this movie so many times before and I just realized that Michelle Pfeiffer (Prince Philip's mother in Maleficent) was one of the three witches here. Hahaha!
Petty things like changing redheads into goats or cursing older women will make her older again, but building an entire inn - including its interior - from scratch does not :p
In the book the witch queen says performing magic on living things is much easier then on inanimate objects. I feel like they reversed it for the movie
I just assumed it aged her in areas that her dress covered. They’re not going to show all that. You already get the point with the arms and then later on, half her face. You’re supposed to use your imagination for the rest.
I love witches. This was one of the best witches of all time I can watch these scenes 100x! I wish they made a movie just about her and her sisters or a great witch movie with scenes like these all throughout the movie.
I love Stardust, I get such nostalgia watching this film. They don't make films this great anymore (sigh). Everybody in it had lots of fun I can tell and they really did a great job but I have to say Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) literally stole the whole film. Every scene she was in was golden. Especially that cliff scene everything about that was perfection 😍 I love how we get to see subtle changes in Lamia not just physically but emotionally as the film progresses. For example at the start of the film when Lamia is young and beautiful you see how she is grounded and self-driven as well as vain but it's Michelle Pfeiffer so I'll accept it. But as the film progresses and she begins to age rapidly through the projection of magic her emotions heighten expressing more insecurity/vulnerability and the dynamic changes we start to see that she may be a witch and very evil/manipulating but we get a clearer picture later on of the reason Lamia is who Lamia is. What is great is that Michelle didn't go straight in this film with cackles and screams which any person could easily do straight away when playing a witch, rather she gave us a chance to have a buildup. This film may follow the stereotypical ending of good vs evil = evil defeat but it delivered in a way that showed we all have limitations and this was showing very clearly for Lamia's demise. Always will love this film, and I have to say Stardust, Hairspray and White Oleander are my favourite performances from Michelle all villains but so different from the other ❤
@@DarleneKerester Yes. But in Europe she isn't that present anymore and got less leading roles. There have also been bigger breaks between her movies. And ant men for example can't really be compared to her performance in cat women or in age of innocence or dangerous liaison.

Michelle p fiefer ladies and gentlemen, the original charmed one the witch of eastwick, one of my all time favorite catwoman and now this. Give it up! Give. It. Up!!!!! The scene with her playing with the doll was definitely homage to witches of eastwick dont tell me otherwise, she did this justice.
The fight with Charlie Cox reminds me scenes in the Wheel of Time series when an Aes Sedai fights someone holding a fox head medallion. This witch doesn’t even flinch and switches straight from direct attacks to telekinesis.
It's one of my favorite moments. Really showcases her age and experience. Usually in these movies even though the villain survived 100s of years. They are still naive and foolish.
How interesting, every time she uses her magic, she loses her youth. Apparently the rejuvenating magic of the stars does not last if the one who has it uses magic.
She fought tristan at the end. And yes she is proficient with that knife. The only reason she didnt kill him was because she wanted to make the last effort of getting the star.
