Periphery: Juggerdoc - “It’s actually been a very low stress experience” The Making of P3 - “Yeah it’s been great, we all wanted to kill ourselves during Juggernaut”
Juggernaut was a pretty difficult and stressful experience for a number of reasons, and at times felt like it was too much for us to handle. But it was a fucking walk in the park compared to P2 haha. P3 and P4 were some of my favorite experiences making music ever.
@@fr33mind29 one time I played a huge live show with a dingwall ng3 through my rig worth thousands of dollars. Then I woke up to my squier p bass and 5 watt practice amp.
yeah, the juggernaut albums were my daily morning listen to get up and going for about a year and i still love them to death even 5 years after release.
1:57 I love how Taylor first snaps at Matt and curses at him, then starts sucking up to him and asking him to get into this literally five seconds later. Good edit.
P1 was the first step of an incredible journey. P2 had riffage, vocals and drums never seen before in the industry. Alpha/Omega had the best feel and atmosphere. P3 was the freedom of being 100% independent and creating everything on your own. P4 combined everything together. P5? P5 will be totla mad. Thank you for incredible work that lead us to one of the most unique and interesting music in our lives... so far!
One of my favorite albums of all time. Even though I've heard it so many times, the part in Omega where they bring back the chorus from Alpha gives me goosebumps every time.
FINALLY!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I've watched the DVD dozens of times, was so hoping for a 1080p release. thanks alot friends. kinda strange how much I enjoy listening to Juggernaut more & more with every listen.
It's interesting to see how they thought this was such an efficient and healthy experience at the time, but now that they have an actual healthy work environment they realize how stressed they felt in this one.
Damn! The Juggernaut albums were the first albums, that got me truly hooked on Periphery. Sure there was P1,P2 and P3 but I couldn't get further into them, than liking a few songs. Periphery 1 seemed to raw, P2 seemed to poppy and P3 was mostly just weird to me. Now I'm here with Periphery being one of my favorite bands, keep it up guys!
@@ui-dovakiin4549 I mean before I got really into prog, I was mostly listening to thrash, which more often than not isn't exactly polished, yet I still thought it was missing something in polish I still can't quite put my finger on, not that it's unpolished, it's definitely a good album and absolutely has it's charm. And being weirded out a bit by P3 was also kinda strange, since I listened to way weirder stuff even back then. Maybe the happy-ish vibes kinda threw me of at first, idk man.

Ah oh
yeah thought that was strange. they've always said Juggernaut was a stressful experience lol. maybe it was only realized in hindsight
He said comparing to working with an outside producer. Or at least thats how I interpreted

"Sometimes I dream solos, and when I wake up they're in cubase"
sometimes i record a cool solo and when i wake up it was just a dream and i even have no guitar

The Juggernaut albums hold a special place in my heart. Super stoked watching this!

Keyan a sub here, wanted to see if u can get a periphery tone using, free plugins. Cheers
JEPIETE I think he already did that. He didn‘t call it Periphery tone, but his tone always sounds a lot like Periphery.

Same, And P2. I've been listening to them since 2010.

It warmed my heart seeing Nolly with the lads from the past.
These guys determination to give us quarantine content is insane, they re-recorded the whole documentary with CGI doubles.
"...looks like we're gonna have another Star War" lmfao

Periphery videographer: Sorry I'm all out of focal length XD

-I have only one cm left
-I'll take it

Instant like! Juggernaut still the best metal album of the last decade, this is so epic!!
Now hold on a second
Hail stan, hands down
It's not even their best album though :/
@@placeholder6517 It's okay to be wrong.
hail stan is their best album, no doubt about that. p3 is probably my favourite though, because it’s the most important one for me
I recently lost the physical dvd from my pre-order purchase. Thanks, Periphery!
Damn uploading the whole thing to TH-cam, nice.
Juggernaut would make a great movie similar to how the wall was made. This album has such a dense story.
Loving all the content.
I really love the Juggernaut double album for many reasons. It's such a mammoth musical accomplishment on many levels.
This is just one of the reasons I love this band.
So cool to see these ‘making of’ videos. I think I watched making of stay indoors at least 30 times

Just fast forward to the end and come back, the ads will be gone
8:52 that actually might be the most angry/frustrated I've ever seen Matt be, getting sick of the film lights for whoever was filming haha
