I wanted to express my appreciation to you for always saying you do you. About 3 weeks ago I said to myself, maybe you should slow down after all you are 74. The universe heard me and zapped my knee which I had surgery on many years ago to the point of my humbly using a cane. What I have been doing now that I am healing is the chair workouts. I did the kickboxing one for the burn calories and raise the heart rate while my leg with the knee issue did very slight marching in place. The Dr said to let pain and discomfort be my guide so I think I'll try the band exercise today. Please continue to you be you and encourage us to do what we can do.

Fabulous session. I've been following you for a few months now, and what I particularly love is the adaptability of all your routines. I seriously sprained my ankle a week ago and have missed my walking and cardio workouts - until now! This seated cardio and strength training with you is - again - fabulous! Simply increasing/decreasing the marching tempo and increasing/decreasing weights makes this the perfect all-around workout for a whole lot of folks. Thanks, Lauren.

I've tried to do this workout a while ago and wasn't able to do it. I thought it too hard and difficult. So I kept doing your other seated workouts. Today, I was able to go through it all and it wasn't that hard! I feel quite accomplished. Again, thank you so much for providing us with doable and fun workouts.
Thank you for that, I broke my ankle in early April and not working out was driving me batty. So I searched and found this, wonderful heart rate up blood moving and extra healing.
I can't say I did it perfect, but it was fun and I'll be back to do this again! I have health issues that will stop me if I don't move. Some of my joints are already quite difficult, but I'm determined☺️

FUNtastic kickboxing workout! This used to be one of my fave workout before I had a car accident that resulted to my lower back injury. I miss performing this routine! But thanks to you I was able to do some of the routines in a modified version sitting down! I look forward to more cardio workouts with you 🥰
This is the kind of seated workout I've been looking for that incorporates the whole body ...AND weights!! Thank-you so much and I'll be adding this to my Shuia Shou twisting exercise during my morning workout!! :) (BTW, I'm 66 years young, turning 67 in July!! Bless your heart for this workout!!)
I did this again today and used weights. It wasn't so bad. I usually keep strength training for the next day. One day of cardio and the next day for strength. This video is so good. I am sure I'll keep coming back.

This was so much fun. I loved the quick warm ups and cool downs. Very rare that quick warm ups and cool downs r effective. This seems to have done a job. Thanks for this. And boy r u strong. I didn't use weights for that last bit...still so effective.

That was fun. I get my arms and legs all tangled up when we head in different directions with them. My left shoulder hates it! First time of trying that one so I am interested to see if things change....
You weren't kidding when you said "I said it was seated. I didn't say it was easy." The last segment was the best one for me since it was all arms and my foot is still in the boot. I was supposed to have my brace on the 4th but the manufacturer didn't have it ready so I need to wait until the 22nd. I want to do the standing kickboxing that came on after this one but need to wait until the doctor gives me the green light.

I really like this workout! I'm doing all chair workouts until after foot surgery so I try to do the ones that are cardio and full body. Is this a big calorie burner as well? Thank you!
Glad you liked it Karen! The calorie burn totally depends on the person and how much effort was exerted. If you felt your heart rate increase and maybe broke a sweat, then you are definitely burning calories!
This is great! Lauren many women in their 50's have Bursitis, I'm one of them! What exercises are good for this condition? You're great as always, I only do your channel for strength exercises. You take good care of me! Thank you !!
You're so sweet Jackie! Obviously, you want to avoid repetition of movements that caused the bursitis. If you have bursitis in your hip, exercises that increase range of motion such as hip/glute bridges, figure 4 stretch and side leg lifts are best. I'm not sure if pilates is your "thing" or not, but Pilates based movements are perfect. Please would you do a video to address strength for getting up from a lower position, floor, crouching etc. For example getting down to get items out of a lower kitchen cabinet, grocery shelf, or on the floor with children and then getting up. I have searched and can not find anything that addresses the floor to standing range that so many of us mature people have a huge problem with. Thank you.
I really liked this but I wish I could find some slightly shorter seated kickboxing routines, like 10 to 15 minutes. All the ones I've seen on YT seem to be around 30 minutes.
Hi. Going to give this a go, but I’m wondering why seated? And I know there are people who have difficulty doing standing exercises, but I find doing marching and other leg work from a seated position much harder on my hips. So I’m wondering if there’s a benefit to doing these types of exercises seated over standing if one is able to do them standing. Thanks!
Hi JoAnne, great question! If you are able to do standing exercises, then I definitely would recommend that. Seated are perfect for those with issues such as: knees, balance, sprained foot or even paralysis. Some people are just more comfortable exercising in a seated position. With that said, I think my chair workouts are still pretty challenging! It may be fun for you to try, just to do a different routine. 🌸

You're so sweet Jackie! Obviously, you want to avoid repetition of movements that caused the bursitis. If you have bursitis in your hip, exercises that increase range of motion such as hip/glute bridges, figure 4 stretch and side leg lifts are best. I'm not sure if pilates is your "thing" or not, but Pilates based movements are perfect. Please would you do a video to address strength for getting up from a lower position, floor, crouching etc. For example getting down to get items out of a lower kitchen cabinet, grocery shelf, or on the floor with children and then getting up. I have searched and can not find anything that addresses the floor to standing range that so many of us mature people have a huge problem with. Thank you.

I really liked this but I wish I could find some slightly shorter seated kickboxing routines, like 10 to 15 minutes. All the ones I've seen on YT seem to be around 30 minutes.
Maybe just do half? I also have more seated cardio workouts like a 10 min HIIT (just not kickboxing focus).

Hi. Going to give this a go, but I’m wondering why seated? And I know there are people who have difficulty doing standing exercises, but I find doing marching and other leg work from a seated position much harder on my hips. So I’m wondering if there’s a benefit to doing these types of exercises seated over standing if one is able to do them standing. Thanks!
Hi JoAnne, great question! If you are able to do standing exercises, then I definitely would recommend that. Seated are perfect for those with issues such as: knees, balance, sprained foot or even paralysis. Some people are just more comfortable exercising in a seated position. With that said, I think my chair workouts are still pretty challenging! It may be fun for you to try, just to do a different routine. 🌸
