10:50 No, the plugs should not all be the same and there are very good reasons why those plugs are different. Most important is the amperage which is the difference you are dealing with. One of those is good for 50a the other is only good for 30a.
You should twin charge it. You know it would be a lot of fun. Abs light might be a speed sensor A good way to make your winter garage life better. Go to home depot and buy insulation foam board. Put it on the garage door and cover any windows.
I would power coat the brembos in either that gold you could get on Z's or like just a silver or aluminum color, or hyper silver, or cherry blossom red to pay homage to the STI

You might want to make that into a t-shirt. Hit me up if you need some ideas? That poor GC or whatever. That is probably best to turn it back stock and go from there or convert it to speed density setup.

ABS light was always on in my 01 RS. I really miss mine, just bc of what it was, but my GD blob spoke to me on a whole other level and felt like I was one with that car. Had both at the same time and it’s crazy how different they felt from each other with only 3 years apart between the two.
More than likely never gonna do a 6 speed swap but it is still so educational to see all this shit. Still all that subaru goodness that applies to my '16. Thanks for all you do bro 👊
If you didn't get it figured out already the last couple of years of these cars didn't run MAF. They ran speed density. And that plug is for the cruise control.
I’m too lazy to look through all the comments to see if it’s been mentioned already, but ABS light could simply be a wheel speed sensor. Also, always do an oil change when buying a used car. I personally wouldn’t bother with the O2 sensor or plugs until you put an OEM MAF and intake back on; I’m sure that thing is running rich AF since it’s stuck in OL. The plugs and sensor will foul quickly with bad AFRs.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but the 99-01 2.5 RS's are MAP based cars and not MAF. Also all 99-01 RS are the ej251 sohc. 98 and older are DOHC and are MAF.
Can't wait for the rest of this build, and the STI, and the new ride build..all the Subarus. Want to eventually front end swap a VA wrx to my crosstrek and engine swap to either a FA or EJ. Lot of work but it would be one of very few wrx- crosstrek mashups

You should see if Mochi will run alongside the skateboard with you... The white and gold looks mint, I'd suggest the callipers should be gold or white although I have probably missed the boat on that one.

This time the exhaust won't be flush from the fender. You could use a steel mesh painted black to allow for the heat distribution for the carbon fender
When you wire up the MAP DCCD can you please show me where to attach the signal wire for the RPM? I think it should connect at the ECU. The MAP instructions strictly say to run the wire in parallel to the one that connects the ECU to the gauge cluster and not to splice it. The shop I brought my car to spliced the wire cause they said they didn't know how else to connect it and now the RPMs jump all over the place.

For sure do the rear diff mounts I got the Perrin ones they are nice but I've heard really good things about the beatrush ones and while you're at it do the Perrin subframe lockdown kit

Me and the wife fell on hard times and I had to sell the project :( Found out it later was impounded for shenanigans on the road.... This has nothing to do with the vid but I need some advice lol, I have a 2010 sti and I had to pull then engine and I found out the other day the steering rack is leaking, im wondering peoples opinion on if I should put off putting in engine back in until the rack is replaced or if having the engine in won't be too much hassle, thank you for any feedback
Totally agree with @Smeedia on this. Much easier to do the racks without the engine in there. I've done it both ways and just so much handier without the engine in the way. Had to change the steering u-joint on mine because for the first time on any car I've ever owned it completely stripped all the splines out of it. And having the engine in the way for just that was annoying lol

2 doors can be GC too, its spec dependent. The type r is a gc8, the 22b is a GC8 also.

2000-01's did not have a MAF... they have a MAP.. FYI 98-99 Had MAF'S MAP is on the INTAKE/Throttle body.. That sensor is Intake Air Cont
