Big & Rich are lucky to get played at all on the radio.. NOT that they aren't good,but don't fit into present "mold" of what "Pop Country Radio" is playing... I've seen them a few times live and ALL great shows...
I've mostly been into heavy metal, but Big and Rich have converted me to a lot of country music! Their voices together are amazing, and I can happily listen to every song they put out over and over again!
Someone told me that no matter what I go through I come back just as strong and don't let it get to me. I tell people that the reason for this is that I give those things that I go through that could cut me off at the knees and knock me down to God and then just let them go. I'm Bi-polar and I've been through a lot. I was diagnosed as having chronic depression for over 10 years before I cycled. I also have chronic back pain and have had a knee replacement in October of 2021. But God is there with me no matter what and he holds me close and helps me make it through the rough Patches in this life. I'm going to be 58 in June of this year ( 2022). God bless All you.
I too have depression it's an old song but depression is more real now. I don't if they could play a bunch of depression songs in concert maybe they could bit people would be crying

At times it does get tough. With my grandma in the hospital was really tough. When she got out of the hospital, it's been a blessing. It's still tough, because having to keep watching on her for 24/7. It's really time when all four of her children needs to get right together right now to put her in assisted living. It would be hard on her to get away from what she likes to do on schedule. But I agree with God being there all the time. The bible is really amazing. Even though it helps through tough times like this. We all need god. God is amazing.
They should make this into a full length movie. THEN they'd have careers as actors and Country stars. And judging from this video, they certainly can act

I think many of us are 'between raising hell and amazing grace.' We are all born unto original sin, and that provokes temptation, which is difficult to resist sometimes. But, if we find our grace with our maker, and ask forgiveness contritely and sincerely, then it shall be granted.
We are ALL born sinners. Even if you repent you're still a sinner, a forgiven sinner, but still a sinner. We all slip up. No one is perfect. Only Jesus was perfect and sinless.
Not only is the title and words like matching pieces to a puzzle of my life, but right down to the video and the roles that Big & Rich play in this video are also synonymous. Kind of supernatural when one can relate the way I do not just with this one but also most of their work.

In just sharing, I have been thru a situation recently at church where I left the congregation bc for years, and and I didnt know , there was a narcisist among us. Every time I stood up to a trouble maker, i was made out to be the bad guy. And the pastor defends these kinds of people. Yes I stood up for what is right for myself and my family and yet I am the troublemaker not the actual culprit.

This song describes my life to a tee!!! I was raised in a penicostal church but I strayed away when I turned 16. I put 50 plus hours in at work every week and raise hell every Friday and Saturday night but I’m stil in the pugh come Sunday morning no matter how bad the hangover is.

That was the first time I ever heard the song "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace". It was just Rich and Big on six string acoustic guitars, unplugged and singing from the soul. That performance of that song was absolutely stunning and sent chills down my spine. Anyone know where I could hear it?
