The black man leading the marching band is Cowboy Troy. His stuff is really unique. Check him out.
Yeah, he had some fun tracks. "Hick Chick" is my favorite. Great video as well, but sadly not up on TH-cam...but on other platforms.
"My Last Yee Haw" is another good one by Cowboy Troy. And "If You Don't Want To Love Me" is good too
"I Play Chicken With the Train"!!
I play chicken with a train is one of my favourite songs it blew me away the first time I heard it
Big and rich live at the CMA with cowboy Troy "rollin" is my favorite.
This was the Big & Rich era! It was in the times before everyone was offended by everything. Cowboy Troy, the drum major, and Gretchen Wilson were also part of this crew. Miss these days - they had a different sound.
Truly. The music was great until the whiners came along.
Gretchen Wilson, she's FABULOUS!!!
it was called the "muzikmafia".
Everyone was offended back in those days too, you just forgot.
When John Rich was on and won "The Apprentice" he raised over 1.2 million for St. Jude's Children's Hospital! He seems like a helluva nice guy.
I loved that season, still remember it.
Rich is a class act! A national treasure.
I remember that season ❤❤❤
Oh man, I was so wrong! Thank you! But they are outrageous but now I get it!
With the 4th coming up, I would suggest reacting to Big and Rich's song '8th of November'. It's a true story about a squad of boys dropped in the jungle of Vietnam.
Beat me to it. LOL
Kris Kristofferson does a real dramatic somber intro as well!
8th of November is a commemorative date given in the song title. Perhaps better suited to 4th of July might be "Independence Day" by Martina McBride? Both songs are excellent IMO.
While you are at it have some of John's bourbon Redneck Riviera is so good. Keep it freezing cold and enjoy. Welcome home vets.✌
Beat me to it as well. My first thought when he was talking about this was...He needs to listen to 8th of November
Gretchen Wilson “Here for the Party”. Country gal that likes to have fun 😂
I was about to leave a comment about her lol, she is a heck of a singer
She likes to have fun but her part of the concert we went to was the worst, unfortunately. I think she partied too much before they started.
Or Redneck Woman
She's FABULOUS!!!
@@CrossBorderCamping funny, I've seen them twice and had the opposite happen. Gretchen was great and Big & Rich were toasted, especially Big Kenny. They were still entertaining, but the longer they played the more incoherent they became.
John Rich is a true Patriot who donates so much to our Veterans! He has a Bar Called Whiskey River after HIS brand of whiskey he donates massive amounts of its proceeds to the Vets. ♥️🇺🇸
Love that!!
And he did the song, End of the World with Tom McDonald.
Your face tho!! 😂
"Oh they *ARE* sayin' what I thought they was sayin'!"
John Rich and Big Kenny. Always a fun time. Toby's song came out yrs before this. You should check out Toby and Willie doing Whiskey for my men beer for my Horses. PS. Love Cowboy Troy as well
Oh ya, that's a fun video
This is the same John Rich from Tom MacDonald’s “End Of The World”.
#hangovergang forever 🤙🏽
I was just going to comment this ❤#HOG
Me too 😅😅
John has a new single soon to release called "Revelation". It's based on the Bible book of Revelation.
Another reason why both songs are freaking terrible 😂
John Rich was also the original lead singer for Lonestar.
You got to check out "Cowboy Troy". He's in background of this video. He's a performer with Big and Rich. He's right up your alley.
I highly recommend "the 8th of November" and also "Holy Water" by these cats
Yes!!! 💯💯
Love both of them!! They both touch my heart
ABSOLUTELY
Definitely on both.
Holy water helped me get healed from my molestation horror
"Hip Hop invented stunting in music." 😂😂😂 Bless your heart.
😂😂
"8th of November" is a must by Big and Rich.
The look on Pegasus’s face while that song was playing is priceless. 🤣
I will say, for anyone who is interested to know, that Toby Keith’s song “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” was released on Toby Keith’s 1993 self titled debut album and was chosen as his debut single.
Big and Rich released “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” as their second single from their debut Album ‘Horse Of A Different Color’ in 2004. Their first single released from the same album is titled “Wild West Show” and was released back in December 2003.
Thank you
Omg, I knew this reaction wouldn't disappoint 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big and Rich are a big reason that I started dipping my toes into the country music genre. From what I understand, they were refused by labels in Nashville for not being 'country', so they gathered up other artists and formed the MuzikMafia. On another note.... Holy Water is a beautiful, meaningful song. You should check that out.
Ahhh! HOLY WATER is a soul-wrenching piece -- especially since Big wrote it for his sister...I just jack it up every time in the car!!
I love Holy Water. It breaks my heart every time I hear it.
"8th of November" is one of their songs that is a MUST!
You gotta check out "She thinks my Tractor's Sexy"
That song is nothing but innuendo. lol.
Yes!
John Rich is a amazing songwriter. He writes for several artists as well. Above all that, he is a patriot!
This was huge when it came out. Loved it instantly. And what a crazy video. John Rich does some great stuff solo as well. The song (with its great video) "Shuttin' Detroit Down" is a favorite of mine.
Oh I love that song n video, heart breaking because the situation was so real.
Kris Kristofferson is awesome in the video
@@barryturner3932 Yes he was
Big & Rich are Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich. They are a popular duo in country music and are also a very successful songwriting team. They are also producers and do some artist development. They are Nashville mainstays and like to push the limits at times. This song was their first hit as Big & Rich, although both of them had, had previous success with other music acts. They also do more traditional as well. Check out a song called "Look At You."
Big and Rich song 8th of November
You need to listen to their song 8 th of November you will love it.
FYI Rich did a song with Tom Macdonald.
😅😅🎉🎉 hilarious love you for checking this out😂
Big & Rich are way underrated!!!
This is a great example of Country Crossover from a different angle. Tongue and cheek sexuality with a great rock groove (as in Van Halen's Hot For Teacher) steeped in rap... What fun! It's as though the crossover folks were afraid to do this until these guys came along. Cheers!
Dig a little into this group, they're something. Very patriotic. And John Rich is a heck of a business man. I love their Com'in To Your City.
The look on your face was priceless dude lol...
They have a few great tracks as well as helped Cowboy Troy and Gretchen Wilson (the girl on the tractor) get their careers going.
that was Grethen Wilson on the tractor at the end
Their song 'Holy Water' is amazing...and heart wrenching
:D One of my favorites. Another is "Beer for my Horses" (lol.... this wasn't a '70's thang y'know. This came out in the 2000's).
This the same John Rich that did a feature for Tom Macdonald "End of the World" 😂😂 let's go!!
I love big and rich. And this song is crazy good.
A more serious song they did was 8th of november its about an event that happened in vietnam where 29 us troops got ambushed by 1200 north vietnamese toops
8th of November is absolutely fantastic.
One of those songs that makes me smile every time I hear it.
For some country rap try Jason Aldean " Dirt Road Anthem " or Carie Underwood ft Ludacris with " The Champion ". This will be on you workout list. It will get you pumped up for a workout.
I love this group they’re a lot of fun
Tennessee native here and I looooove this song so much. Nashville can be so much fun if you can avoid the recent troubles downtown. Love 2nd Avenue and Broadway.
Yup! Hello flow Tennessean!❤
Woo hoo on my playlist already! ❤❤❤❤. Thanks again man for your show
They mixed it up and made it work. It hit each genre. Everyone was singing it from 12 year olds to 60’yearolds. And we were having a blast
John Rich, the man in the yellow shirt, is such a good man. A true patriot. Very down-to-earth. His song and video with Tom Macdonald was a wonderful collaboration. You should check it out.
I love this song and support the message 100%.
Big and Rich started a movement called the Muzicmafia which included Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, Two Foot Fred, Kid Rock and many others! You need to go down the rabbit hole on all of them. Big and rich had many great songs including one called Holy water. My fav.
Gretchen Wilson is a straight badass. Check out All jacked up, Redneck woman, here for the party, California girls, come to bed and tons more.
Cowboy Troy is one of the first known country rappers. He has a great song called I played chicken with train.
I had the privilege to meet Gretchen Wilson at a country connect. When I was leaving the meet and greet I was the first person out and no one was there to direct me where to go. I stated wandering around back stage. I actually met Two Foot Fred and Cowboy Troy. They were both very nice and have me autographs.
Please, check the Muzicmafia out!
Thank you, thank you I haven’t laughed that much for ages and it was your expression that caused it , loved it
I was a bartender in a small town in Ohio when this song came out.. We had a blast with this song. Big and Rich are Great...
Shaboozy is on it with his new country music …. I’m a Texas born and raised I ride horses grew up on 80 acres I barrel raced so let’s say I’m country through and through and I say the more the merrier bring new and different to country we need it
This doesn't mean what I thought it meant...eyes BIG...' I shoulda been a cowboy.... ' 🤣 I haven't laughed/snorted in awhile 😂 I just LOVE your content. Your reactions to Falling In Reverse brought me here over a year ago... and here I always come back to. Your open-mindedness is just so refreshing these days. You literally will listen to ALL genres . Thank you for bringing educational and often HILARIOUS content ❤ Congrats on new baby girl 🎉❤❤
.
Awesome they are true patriots ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸 This was filmed on a pedestrian bridge over the Columbia River @the foot of Broadway in Nashville. Happy Independence day BP 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
John Rich is a national treasure!
Dude if you ❤ Big & Rich, then you'll seriously ❤ Every Song of Cowboy Troy. This is just a taste of Cowboy Troy's Country Rap Music 🎙🎶. You most diffenitly have never heard anything like it.
The guy leading the marching band is Cowboy Troy. Check out his song "Hick Chicks". You will not be disappointed.
Cowboy Troy (I play chicken with the train)
Great reaction as usual! other songs recommended by Big and Rich cast "8th of November", Gretchen Wilson "here for the party" , Cowboy Troy "Hick Hop" "Playin Chicken with the Train"
they were teaching a class at a local High School in Brentwood TN about how to write a songs. The song was mostly penned there... they have told the story here locally a few times...
Big and Rich have produced such great party songs such as Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, but you also need to watch the CMA awards where they sang Rollin". Unfortunately that is the only video available that shows this, all others are only lyric videos. But they also produced some very deep heart wrenching songs such as Holy Water.
"8th of November"
It'll get ya Bro!!! Git ya in a good way 😉
How Big Kenny got his Hat 😀
Once you are in, you are never out.
LMAO, I bought the T Shirt when it came in the market!! This song was a HUGE hit! ❤😂🎉
Definitely check out Cowboy Troy, the leader of the marching band right behind Big & Rich. I was a hard-core anti-Country person that married a dude from Calgary. Eek! But I got him tickets to Big & Rich one year for V-day and I fell in love with these guys...but Cowboy Troy opened for them and I went to the lobby in between bands and bought his CD right then. My fave is Hick Chick's, but I Play Chicken with the Train is awesome too.
Big and Rich are awesome!! Definitely worth a deep dive. Their concerts were all out parties. You should check out Rollin. It features Cowboy Troy.
Big Kenny and John Rich are both amazing people, both donate heavily to charities, both absolutely love America, they both live without prejudice, truly amazing guys
JASON ALDEAN. Dirt Road Anthem... ❤
Thats a great song, a hometown song lol!
I prefer the Colt Ford and Brantley Gilbert version of Dirt Road Anthem , namely their reprise version.
I'm an artist and a musician. In art school we learned that contrast creates interest - dark, light - dull, bright - large, small - rough, smooth, etc. In music, same thing in audio - loud, soft - slow, fast - signature changes, texture changes, etc. What you've got going on here is a HipHop guy reacting (positively) to Rock and Country! Wow! Talk about creating interest through contrast! You got it going on pal! Cheers!
Have you heard Darius Rucker, formerly of Hooty and the blowfish, and his country music?
It's phenomenal. Especially the song he did with Charlie Pride before the legend passed away.
Dude thier concerts were epic
Gretchen Wilson is the girl on the green tracker. She, Big & Rich, and the Black cowboy walking were all part of a group, that would get together and write songs together....they were a pack!
Love it. I love when the girl ( who looked like a doll) smiled at the end.
I saw Big & Rich live & had a blast! I was not sure what to expect but was stunned by what amazing singers they both were. They made some goofy music but they were excellent musicians & entertainers. 8th of November & Between Hell and Amazing Grace are my favorites.
The glee on Pegasus' face through the whole video is priceless!!!!
The Big man that is leading the parade - his name is Cowboy Troy and is a rapper -- If you want a Big & Rich song with true rapping by Cowboy Troy look up Rollin' --- best video "Big & Rich - Rollin (ft. Cowboy Troy) CMA 2004"
My buddy's new mother in law to be is one of these self-righteous holier than thou people who said rock n roll was smut and devil music and only country was pure....this song had just come out. I was the best man and told the DJ I had a special request for the mother of the bride but keep it anonymous....he called the mother in law out and said "this one is for the mother of the bride" and of course she was soaking it up....her and her hubby came out dancing....when the chorus came on she turned purple faced and I had to walk out of the reception as I couldn't breathe from laughing....last I knew, no one but my buddy knows who dedicated that song. My buddy passed in 2011, God bless him. This song always makes me laugh now.
The title of this song was actually a pick up line that John Rich (before he was married) came up with one night in a country bar in Dallas. John Rich is a great song writer and has written songs for other artist. Two songs that are 180 degrees opposite are “Lost in This Moment” which is played a lot at weddings and “Holy Water” which is about domestic violence against women. Big Kenny’s sister briefly appears in the really moving video because she had experienced domestic violence at some point. The song called “The 8th of November” is about a real soldier who was shot during the Vietnam war.
Big and Rich performed at our wedding at Barbara Mandrell's old mansion just outside of Nashville in 2007. It was the height of "Lost in this Moment". Great guys to meet!
Love! Whoop Whoop! I’m up dancing!,, 🎉🎉😂😂😂
This is back in the day of what was called the Music City Mafia. A group of country musicians and comedians who worked the clubs around town. It's members included, Cowboy Troy (the black cowboy), Two-Foot Fred (the midget), Gretchen Wilson, and Big & Rich.... At times Kid Rock would join in. Amongst others as well.
This song was huge when I was in college, and I went to a school in the south and someone had a bumper sticker that said;
"Save a Truck Ride a Red Neck"
Next do Cowboy Troy! "I Play Chicken with the Train"...Hickhop!
I LOVE THIS SONG! John Rich is a great songwriter....❤❤
A good bar dancing song. What. What!!🎉❤😂
Indeed!
Everytime my band played this song, it Killed!!! People love fun songs period. Good stuff bro
you should totally watch 8th of november by big and rich !!
Kris Kristopherson did the intro
Soooo much fun ...!!!
How funny, your expression the second you realized it was exactly what it sounded like was epic. Music video is totally bonkers.
OMG.. Making me LMAO Let's Rock this country.
It's so much better when we all get along and collaborate. ❤
When this song came out it was very popular
Truly brings me back to 80's videos.. I like it.
63k views! You need to watch more! They’re great!
Loved this one when it first came out and still love it
Your lecture on what "make it rain" means is amazing!
This was awesome back in the 90s. They had a blast
They be wide open. Gotta love it!
Their “The 8th of November.”
The Muzik Mafia was incredible. I love Cowboy Troy was awesome.
I've heard of this song....but never listened to this song.....I loved it ❤❤❤
The look on your face was priceless! 🤣🤣🤣
They’re hilarious! I love this song lol. If you want a more serious song, listen to Holy Water. It was written about Big Kenny’s sister who was a victim of domestic violence. (he’s the tall blonde crazy one). It will break your heart
It's just got to be one of my all time favorite songs as well as the whole cd. Every Sat during the summer months I would load my niece(5) and her brother(7) and their two ponies and we would head to the horse show. The first thing in the truck "Play Big and Rich" and so i did and I had the best couple of summers of my life with those kid and Big and Rich. So glad those kids didn't know what they were singing.
Cowboy Troy in the video is a must listen also.
Every time I’m visiting family & friends in Nashville, see the Bridge & of course Broadway. This video pops in my head. Especially Big Kenny with the ‘bridge’ pun intended.
And the Bat Building in the background. Also, the longhorned Cadillac used to be parked up in Ashland City, State Route 12 in front of John Rich’s Mama’s seamstress shop. Idk if it still is.
