WHO else is here because of John Rich's Revelation song? Late to the party but had no idea there was so much (good) message behind Big and Rich. Feeling enlightened - in many ways today.
I am because I wanted to know how he got from an awful sinful song like "Save a horse ride a cowboy" came to be a Christian. I want to know if he has repented of that or not. I hope so, because I was once a wretched sinner but was born again.

I met Kenny and his beautiful wife Kristiev. I was in treatment at the Hope Center in Nashville and they volunteered their time there once in a while.Him and his his wife treated all of us ladies to a day at the movies. They also hosted a big party at their friends' home. We did horseback riding,bobbbed for apples, a BBQ etc This was in late 2008 or early 2009. They are amazing people. Have such a heart for God. Kenny would wear those big goofy hats. He would play guitar for us as well.

I have been a fan since they first started out 20+ years ago with Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of their songs. And Johns new "Revelation" is spine chilling. I’m religious but more of just a deeply care about. I talk to our lord every time I’m outside just enjoy the world. Thank him rain, sun. Etc. but BIG AND RICH my favorite band. I respect them for their beliefs. They also address taboo subjects like raptor abuse in “HOLY WATER. those of us that have to grow up in hell. Appreciate being acknowledged and respected. Thank you!

When 99% of people who say things like “I’m prayin’ for ya” “prayers goin’ up” “you’re in my prayers” they’re just empty words that are said when you want to be kind and don’t know what else to say. I doubt even one person truly reaches out and follows through with a sincere prayer. I personally would rather you not say anything at all than to disrespect me by lying as if I’m dumb enough to believe that you genuinely took time out of your day to talk to the Father on my behalf. Don’t become a liar to console me.

Check out John Rich's interview with Tucker Carlson a week or two ago. He's my kind of believer! God is GOD. Man cannot reinvent him to his own liking. There is a reason people say someone is a "God fearing man." Love the Lord absolutely and with all your heart, but you'd better have a healthy fear of his awesome wrath as well. People mistreat or dismiss people they love all the time. With God, that's not a good idea. Jesus said as much - there is no place for a person who is Christian when it suits them. There is no place for someone who twists God's words to fit what he or she wants. God's word is at odds with A LOT of what is not only legal but socially acceptable in American society. We may not face the kind of persecution that Christians in other countries face, but that puts a new set of challenges on us. It's very comfortable to be a mainstream Christian, but so many people stumble when the smallest inconvenience is placed in their way. "Oh, I'm against killing babies, but I'd better not say anything." If all it takes is the threat of losing some friends, or the threat of having to find another job to shut you up about God, you might want to reflect on that.
