been trying this deck (with some little changes) and just can say: wow. its so damn fun to play, and i think i ve won almost every match out of 10 matches or so. people are just suprised and dont really know what they are playing against. i added three solemns to counter reasonning gate, which helped very very well. thanks for this inspiration. greeting to the noodle.
A few reasons why I love this deck: 1. The sabremetric/moneyball approach to it. If there is one card I'd definitely consider with that in mind is Magic Drain. Neutering the Trinity imo is just as powerful as straight up negating them. Plus tossing that Spell may come back to bite them later on. 2. It counters two of the most irritating cards in the game imo: Delinquent Duo and GK Spy. Now if we can find a way to combat Trap Dustshoot... 3. IT'S CREATIVE.
The main reason to pick Fear over Mummy is tempo, having a monster already in field for free early in the game that also has a decent stat line allows you to start doing damage or forcing the opponent to use their traps early makes a world of difference, specially when they are so just to 20+ turns games and them not having all the time in the world to draw their outs makes them play incorrectly. The amount of games one can steal by simply applying pressure to Chaos Turbo decks is crazy, since they really don't have that many ways to deal with very aggressive decks that also can take away their set up in the process (book of life banishing their lights and darks can be nasty) until game 2, and even then most only have raigeki break and maybe Solemn (which is a bad idea since LP matter more against aggro decks). The only thing I would change/add would be either a single Riu Kokki or a Vampire lord as a beater that you can tutor out of the deck (maybe on the side deck as an option). I know it can be a brick, but having easy access to a beater on a format where big monsters can often only be dealt with removal is very important as it put them on a situation where they better have the out or they lose, specially if it is a sticky beater like vampire lord that will come back if you used a break, mirror or saku to kill it.
Also great deck, looks like a lot of fun. Between this and the Rescue Cat wins, I'm really starting to think Cyber-Stein might be the key to building more rogue decks better
Been a fan of your decks for a while! happy to see creativity can still win. Would love to collab with you sometime. I got a lot of spicy decks and always looking for new ideas 😀
I always believe looking back at Cards in older formats you might find a few gems that was overlooked. Such as Share the Pain with Scapegoat or Cold Wave and Last Will was Overlooked in Goat as well. It's also likely Dragon Beatdown could work with Flute of Summoning Dragon
Great philosophy. Very thorough explanations. I like how your Zombie Deck plays many effective high level monsters + Stein. Not a fan of rogue Decks that are just Goat Control variants lol. Are you actively playing any other formats?
What do you think about playing reasoning gate with more defense, call haunted/ring/torrential/mirror/3x scapegoats? Seems to have more defense than chaos turbo even and not be as glass canny
That's exactly how I like to play reasoning gate. I feel like people go a little too hard into the aggro strategy with it instead of making it a bit more well rounded.
I think people are still new to GOAT. The format needs even more coverage and promotion so player can get the idea that the meta had new options. But player need to keep proving it as well
Some options are: Adding card destruction, siding duo, adding reckless greed, maybe replacing 1 fear with 1 regenerating mummy but I dunno. That's basically it tbh, maybe a 2nd tornado.
@@AB-ds3zl I sent the link in another reply to you. Hopefully TH-cam doesn't delete it. It was Goat Format World Championship Qualifier #38, you can go to the GoatFormat website and TH-cam channel to check the lists out.
Unbelievable. Shows the value of looking at other disciplines for inspiration. Thank you for putting this out !
Yup, I think it made a big difference :)
Amazing! Would love to see all the replays

solemns in the side of course. also added a royal decree engine in the side, which is perfect for this deck :-)
GOATED!! GREAT JOB!!

Miss playing with fiend mega cyber, was one of the best ways to get jinzo on board in the first few years of the game.
1700 also does not matter if it dies to sided zombyras or sakus just like a 1800

seeing the horus stein deck win makes me wonder if theres a way to combine your deck with the horus deck. you think it would be possible?
Awesome man
Really cool, make more videos please

I agree, we need more goat content creators.
really interesting ideas, would you make any changes to the deck in retrospect?

you were talking about cat otk winning, could you tell me the name of the tournament? thanks:)
PWCQ 38
Would you say it makes sense to add 2x last will?
Yup, I think it would be good.
Ok thanks :) could you tell me where I can find the cat decks which won patreon you mentioned at minute 16:00? Thank you🙏🏻
