Konami should be way more careful with their erratas. They turn super broken cards into garbage, when they SHOULD be turning super broken cards into just slightly broken cards. Like Makyura is so trash now that it's unplayable. If they had still let it be milled, and just limited the effect to 3 trap cards, it might see play. Instead, they basically kept it forever banned by making it unplayable
I think a good alternative to banning cards outright would be to merge the “LEGEND” card system from RUSH Duels into the OCG/TCG as an additional layer to the Forbidden/Limited list, where you’d only be able to have a single card of this classification in your deck at all (So if Pot of Greed, pre-errata Chaos Emperor Dragon and Royal Oppression were all under the “LEGEND” classification, you’d only be able to take 1 of these 3, and only 1 of that card on top of that.) So let’s say, hypothetically, you have 2 cards that would normally banned together at the same time because of how well they played off of one together… With the LEGEND option, Konami would instead have you run only 1 of 1 or the other.
