    Very useful for beginners, please share for DFMEA illustration also with practical example so that there won't be any confusion between PFMEA and DFMEA

      The only difference in DFMEA is the focus on product, else the process is same.

    Thank you so much. Extremely easy and useful concepts.
    So should risk matrix be 10*10? We have 240 correct? So do i increase the size of my matrix as 30*10? Wouldnt it be hard to draw? Could you please help? Or do i keep 30*30 with 10*10 squares and say 1 square =3 units and so on?

      Can you please elaborate on your thought process here? 10*10 is a standard risk matrix considering Severity and Occurrence ratings.

    Why do we need to consider Criticality as there is RPN already?

    • @learnandapply
      @learnandapply  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As mentioned in the video, criticality helps you prioritise the causes and talks more about a proactive approach focused on Severity and Occurrence.

  • @sumitmitra7336
    @sumitmitra7336 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sir , what happens to the severity score in FMEA after corrective or preventive actions have been taken. I think it should stay same . Only the score of " Occurrence " and Detection should change. Your Views please . Thanks

    • @learnandapply
      @learnandapply  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Severity will only change if the failure mode is eliminated, like by doing a design change, unless it will be the same.

    Which standard has been referred to for the risk matrix here. The risk matrix is some what different as per EN50126. Is the matrix customizable?
    Thank you.

    • @learnandapply
      @learnandapply  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there are some variations in the risk matrix from organization to organization, but it is very much similar. ISO TR 24971
