Once again, excuse our big heads. Once recording was finished through streamlabs, we realized we forgot to size down to fit 2 people in the frame better. 😂
Clamavi De Profundus is a fantastic chorus of mostly bass and baritone men. Geoff sings this the same way they do. Except they only show pictures while they are singing. Most of their songs are dwarven. I have several on my playlist.... The Last Goodbye, Diggy Diggy Hole, When The Hammer Falls and a few more. These 3 are my favorites of theirs.
Geoff's LotR trilogy is out of this world, gives me chills and watery eyes every time. Hey, speaking of Geoff... I think you'd enjoy his version of Headless Horseman, it would be a perfect reaction, it's that time of year, after all. Fun fact: Ian Holm, who plays Bilbo, also plays Ash in Alien.
Isn't this wonderful! I have been listening to this multiple of times each day since it released. I'm hoping that Geoff and Kathy keep releasing Middle Earth tunes at least once a year. Geoff made the Balin's tomb prop in his garage and Kathy put the book at the front. They don't call attention to it, but it's there. I love the idea of The Hobbit ghosts joining Gimli then disappearing at the end of their song, leaving Gimli alone.
Thank you so much! I take naming children quite seriously 😄👍 Our boy's names are less "fictional"...Killian is an old Irish name meaning "bright headed" and "little warrior"... and he is a warrior for sure! My husband chose our youngest son's name. It means "appointed" or "placed". Seth was the 3rd son of Adam and Eve, who God appointed to replace Abel after he was murder by Cain. He was our surprise baby, so it was the perfect name... he was placed in our life when we thought we were finished having children, and he's truly a gift.
The dwarves left to right are Fili, Thorin, Gimli, Kili and Bofur. Gimli is from LOTR, the others from The Hobbit, and Geoff's costume and makeup are patterned after how they appear in the movie. In the LOTR book, when the Fellowship sees the vastness of Moria, Sam wonders how dwarves were able to live 'in such darksome holes'. Gimli then chants this old poem to educate Sam on the greatness of the dwarves' first king, and the shining, wealthy city he founded. For this video, the ghosts of the four dwarves from The Hobbit, gone for decades before the Fellowship sees it, accompany Gimli, singing instead of chanting it. _Khazad-dûm_ is in the language of the dwarves 'The Dwarves' Mansions' (also 'Halls' or 'Excavations'), and it was an impossibly-rich and brightly-lit place in its heyday. However, sadly, after it fell to the Balrog and the Orcs, it became known by the Elvish _(Sindarin)_ word _Moria,_ 'The Black Pit', or 'Dark Chasm'.
Thank you for the info! It's so complex, the interwoven-ness and the lore. But such amazing storytelling from Tolkien. It's really unlike anything else! Funnily enough, we call out son Killian "Killi" as a nickname. It was cute when he was little, but he told us he hates it now 🤣
Oh!, I think my subwoofer broke down, maybe it couldn't handle so many low frequencies 🤣. The tweeter spoiled due to Dimash and now the woofer 😂😉. Such a great surprise to see "mini" Realistic again. Best to you both and your viewers ✌️👋
Yeah - also picked up on that link. Although my mind also wandered to The Hu, and then to Diana Ankudinova - she can nearly rip sub-woofer cones too (said with the utmost respect to her) 😉
I've had quite a few people say that 😄 I don't see it... she takes after my husband much more (if you were to look at childhood photos)... but most people say we look exactly alike. Now if you saw my eldest daughter, she's my clone.
@@MrsRealistic Oh but she does resemble you very closely (haha, "spitten image" - I'll give DW the benefit of the doubt that was intended and not a typo). So my son gave a speech at school 2 nights back, he was also a "guest appearance" (back story runs to several pages), and I filmed him as he has a folder to himself under "NR_Home-Videos", and the school photographer stepped right into my frame and blocked my line of sight of him just as your daughter obscured Geoff right at the end. Snap 😵
Loved your reactions to this amazing song, Geoff has done his magic again 😁 Also, nice to see Phoenix getting more comfortable in front of the camera. Much love to both of you ❤
I just subscribed to your channel because I really like all your reactions, especially on Lovebites of which I have been an absolute fan for 6 years despite my great age (72). I will allow myself a small suggestion: do not miss what I consider, and many with me, as their absolute masterpiece "Frozen Serenade". You will not regret it.
For me, the best parts of this song are when Geoff lets all 5 dwarves sing together in harmony - their voices just mesh so well, it sends shivers up my spine every time! EDIT: I'm sorry, but my teenage/young adult years are making a dramatic comeback when you recited the poem for your daughter. When I was in high school or early college, The Lord of the Rings books were huge in that time frame, and so someone decided to make a profit off of them. The Harvard Lampoon wrote a parody called Bored of the Rings, which managed to summarize the 3 novels into a novella about 100 pages long - and of course, they poked fun at literally everything from the original trilogy. Including their own version of that poem, which has the same rhythm and starts off with the same first line, but then...veers rather dramatically from there. I'll just leave you with the first verse of the poem to give you a hint of just how far things deteriorated (yes, I still have it memorized from those many decades ago): An elvin-maid there was of old, A stenographer by day; Her hair was fake, her teeth were gold, Her scent was that of cheap sachet.

I heard them do this afterwards and it's definitely a different flavor!
Geoff's Dwarf trilogy is certainly a work of art that demands frequent revisits! Thank you both for the great reaction.

Sounds perfect for Halloween!!
@@MrsRealistic Yep, it sure is! His version of Monster Mash is also a lot of fun.
Geoff really could serenade me. BTW suggestion for both is lady leshurr - queens speech. There's 7 episodes around 3 mins each video
Cool! Thanks!

They pay attention to detail don't they?!
So beautiful as well as the reverence with which it is sung. Geoff built that casket in his garage. I love Unshaken.
Check out his reading of "The Telltale Heart", perfect for the season.
Beautiful name!!! Nice that you have given meaningful and unique names that your kids can carry with them for life and think of you!! 🌹🕊

@@MrsRealistic Nice. Thank's
Ohhhh. Well done. You can be very proud mr and mrs Realistic
Bahhhhhh Boooooom 🍁
While this is gorgeous, I See Fire is my favorite. Geoff is able to convey emotion so, so well!
I see fire made me cry. It was truly mesmerizing!

If your daughter wants to hear his range listen to his video of Blackbird
Oh I love that song! I bet Geoff takes it to a whole new level!
My oldest daughter is Lorien, too.
GET. OUT. OF. TOWN. Are you serious?! 🤯 Clearly we're both awesome 😄
@@MrsRealistic LOL Definitely. Phoenix an awesome name too.
Love upchurch Raise Hell Eat Cornbread, him and tom are not on great terms, they both make great music so let the haters hate and have fun
People will always have beef...I just chose to like the music I like. 😊👍 I think the fans on both sides can get a little crazy 😄
@MrsRealistic this comment was on another channel I am baffled why it's here lmao, this was a good song though
I get that sometimes... and I'm like, "Maybe they've just seen my reaction to another song and wanted to comment on it..." 😆 Cheers 🍻
