  • In this episode and part II of the Phnom Penh vlog, I share my thoughts on Phnom Penh and Siem Reap after living in both cities for 2 years and why (in my opinion) if you live in Siem Reap it delivers a better quality of life :)
    Enjoy!

I'm very happy for you to make home in Siem Reap. I had a chance to visit this historic site with my family way back in mid 60s as a teenager but most of them did not survive the genocide in 70s. Only memory lives on as I had to leave the country in late 1979. I've returned to visit my sole surviving sister to heal the horrific past who still lives there after my early retirement from US. Sharing is caring as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Peace from a genocide survivor ✌️

Your video made me think about the differences between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, in Thailand. Can apply the same concept. Thanks for the video, very nicely done.

Yes! I lived in Bangkok for a long time, only visited Chang Mai once, but can see the similarities :) Thank you thank you..

staffing and operation cost in Phnom Penh are about 30-50% higher than Siem Reap. Rent can be 100-500% higher.

@@rebootmylifesiemreap Good for you. It depends on property grade, amenities, location and type. It is Grade A office or commercial space, i.e Vattanac Building, the rent can be over the roof.

The office is on Koh Pich, well away from the $$$ that would undoubtedly be required for a city centre/premium location.

Cambodia is not easy but great place to live for a while. Lived there 5 months but finally moved to Vietnam.
