I discovered that the more things I got rid of in the UK the more free I felt.
Goodbye 2 x motorbikes, a car, a house and everything in it - and all that goes with it.
By the time I arrived at Heathrow, with 2 x tote bags and a carry on, I was feeling so liberated it was intoxicating (no I don't drink!)...
And by the time I landed in BKK, my new life stretched ahead and 41 years of corporate were slipping rapidly into my rear view mirror...and there has been no backward glance.
