@A Velsen yeh. You are hysterical. If you look to the statistics. There is not even evidence. The victims are declining. More people in places which our ancestors would have avoided. But we like the idyllic sceneries nowadays for settling. Please google people dying in natural castotorphies. Also google population development. For sure there is better protection in the Western world. But not in the overpopulated regions of developing nations. Try it. But do not trust emotional pictures or media selling catastrophes.
@@SirGuifoyle climate change is happening without and with mankind. To become warmer is for the better. As always in history. Worst case is cool down. But this would also not be in our reach. The warmer earth gets the less catastrophes.
@Bumblesnuff buffallobath Sending prayers do help many cope emotionally with such disasters. As per donating to relief organizations, the problem is knowing which organization is the most trustworthy, that will actually use 80%-90% of donations to actually help those in need. To many so called relief charities pocket 50-70% of donations as administration costs. Even organizations like the Red Cross is guilty of using a high percentage of donations for administration costs.
Reading the words below, I DO SAY, THANK YOU Mr. Bannister. It is GOOD to hear kind words, from the other side of the globe, and to know, that there are also people, who not only notice, but also care, and share the grief. As, at least, I do, when I hear or see about tragedies when Tornados destroy cities and kills People in "Tornado Alley". So therefore: Your kind words are very much appreciated!👍❣️🌹
Kind words do nothing. Action helps the people in need. God has proven over and over that he cannot prevent tragedies occurring, and he cannot stop them even though he has this immense power. Humans working together is amazing🤗👍🏼💞
Wetlands are natures flood water control areas. They help store and purify water and recharge ground water. Too many developers fill in and build on areas that should be kept natural and provide natural flood water storage areas. Cities need to do more to protect flood prone areas from development.
We are talking about what are fairly small cities or outright villages, which have existed in the area since at least the middle ages, some since roman times, and which were build on small streams which for sure HAVEN'T been straightened out, since you can hardly argue where a stream should go in what is basically a vulcan mountain area (the vulcan has been inactive for pretty much forever). This is not an area in which rain can just sicker away easily BY NATURE, and the issue was that too much rain was falling at once. STOP trying to distract from the bigger problem by pointing to supposedly changes to the nature in an area you obviously know nothing about, and just admit that rain over the scala is simply not normal. There is a bigger problem there which can't be blamed on people being careless. Those were houses which were standing there for ages. The historical worth lost is immense, too, for that reason, but that naturally becomes a background issue with over a hundred dead at least.

For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, get some exercise, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well! Stay safe and stay relaxed

Es tut mir sehr leid, mein herz bricht. My heart is breaking for all the devastation and the lives lost. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims of this catastrophe.
In the Philippines especially the eastern and northern part of the country these scenes are pretty normal but because it's so normal our govt always warned the people to evacuate as early as possible to avoid catastrophic consequences . It's the instinct sometimes that moved the people to evacuate . Definitely what happened here was a surprise for them since they're not used to flooding as huge as that was .
The region has some of Europe's last natural rivers with steep scenic valleys and is prone to flooding. They are used to get there feet wet every now and then. But it usually reaches disaster levels only when subsequent rainbands overload the defense systems after weeks or months of rain. In this case it was basically one rain storm that hung around the area in a way rain storms don't hang around this area and within days the ground couldn't take anymore and nobody realized that it was already too late to save the towns and the people would need to get out immediately.
@@rrsharizam broken bridges and ditches are not uncommon in wet seasons, and houses are mostly made of concrete here so there’s not much houses floating around, different story for poorer folks without concrete houses though. damaged roofs are normal here though.

Very honestly, I feel like 2021 has turned out to be more of a trashy year than 2020. It's like 2020 was a sign of the beginning of the misfortune around the world.
May everyone be safe wherever they are 🙏
Read the book of Revelation. 2020 was the first year of the seven years of tribulation. It will get worse and worse and will climax in 2027. COVID is far from over and I expect more climate catastrophes, a war between the superpowers, more terror and more and more division and social unrest. The Book says its gonna be hard for everysingle one. Get prepared - physically, mentally and spiritually.
Condolences to the affected people and who's family members are no more

Prayers from South Carolina!!🙏🏼👑🕊
It is sad to see. Sending everyone affected positive energy. Weather is getting more and more crazy. I live in the New England area in the US and we have had flood warnings quite a bit this summer (a few years back it was drought). And strong winds (the kind that keeps you awake at night) are more and more common (10 years ago I don’t think there’s even a handful a year)
Do you remember back in the 1920s when it didn't rain in the American west for like 12 years ?
They called it The Dust Bowl .
It finally started raining again in 1932 .Weather comes in cycles.

The new normal weather... I don't even want to imagine what normal will be 10 years from now.
It occurs once in a while. Do not be fooled. Look into the records first.
@swampy lamp It happened in my country an increase in PP biomass but what you saw was instead the use of forest waste for food to produce electricity they were using good wood for burning. what will escape the purpose of biomass power plants.
@@sw.7519 it's not about being fooled, climate change and more extreme weather is a scientific fact. Just look at heat here in the states and Canada.
@@SirGuifoyle climate change is happening without and with mankind. To become warmer is for the better. As always in history. Worst case is cool down. But this would also not be in our reach.
The warmer earth gets the less catastrophes.

PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES TO ALL SURVIVORS OF THIS HORRIBLE TRAGEDY, FROM THE UNITED STATES!!
So therefore:
Your kind words are very much appreciated!👍❣️🌹
Kind words do nothing. Action helps the people in need. God has proven over and over that he cannot prevent tragedies occurring, and he cannot stop them even though he has this immense power. Humans working together is amazing🤗👍🏼💞
Wetlands are natures flood water control areas. They help store and purify water and recharge ground water.
Too many developers fill in and build on areas that should be kept natural and provide natural flood water storage areas. Cities need to do more to protect flood prone areas from development.
People have lived in that area for decades already!
@@ajlifesolutions7072 More like centuries.
@@ajlifesolutions7072 yeah but there has been a lot of river straightening in recent decades which creates stronger water flow
@@ajlifesolutions7072 So?
There God please help all who's being affected by these storms.

Hey you. Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you.
For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, get some exercise, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well!

Es tut mir sehr leid, mein herz bricht.

Terrible. Stay strong
Is a flood that damaged roads and houses normal? I don't think so even for phillipines
@@rrsharizam it is. There aren't even houses left at times. Even if there aren't any storms that is.
@@rrsharizam broken bridges and ditches are not uncommon in wet seasons, and houses are mostly made of concrete here so there’s not much houses floating around, different story for poorer folks without concrete houses though. damaged roofs are normal here though.
I'm crying. So horrible to watch. Home of my ancestors. Such beautiful old world places in ruins and lives lost. My heartfelt support for all those affected. Love from California.
