if that happen i will begin to dualboot my other laptop for linux for home and windows for school only ... i am not buying a new hardware just cause microsoft tell me so
I agree, Windows 12 could be latter 25 or some time in 26. Windows 10 gone more or less at that time. May be an early announcement around that time perhaps, with production around 26, first releases late 26 to 27 perhaps. Im just rough guessing but thats my nearest guess.
When Microsoft announced Windows 11, Windows 10 was 6 years old. Currently, Windows 11 is only 3 years old, so I think it is unlikely they will come out with Windows 12 in 2025
An OS that isn't based around x64, ARM processors, and AI could make "Windows 12" a winner. I'd buy a PC to see what it could do. But moving all my computers to Windows 11, or buying a new one with Win11 is not what I'd do. Windows 11 is shaping up to be an in-between OS. Microsoft is stuck with a problem of how to move forward and clean up their miscalculation of the market.
not if win12 require new hardware . the peopel who still use unsupported wont buy a new hardware cause only really old hardware isnt supported by win11
@@xgui4-studios but if I have to buy new hardware, I wanted to buy something where the bugs had been dealt with and worked properly, which given the issues with 24H2, does not seem to be Windows 11
With only a 30% acceptance rate and the EU being the boss, how long before Mr. Softie capitulates and backs down to TPM 1.2.

i updated to w11, but I did it with two new-to-me, very cheap I5 8th gen, the bare minimum to get legit access to w11... Made sense with my laptop, because it was really old, not that much on my workstation...
yes i think 2026 / 27 a win 12 as that will be the half way point (5 year mark for 11) and only security patches to 2031 like past versions ? That is if keep 10 year per version a thing still but who knows
Quite probable that Windows will be a subscription service, like many video games today. Watch the Linux share skyrocket to 10% by 2026. Given that less than 30% of Windows users use Win11, even after _four years,_ it is quite likely that a majority of Win10 users (like myself) will NOT move to Win11. I have Mint and Zorin ready to replace Win10 if whatever becomes of Win12 disappoints me.
But when Microsoft stops serving a system there are usually 2 systems out running, Microsoft is gonna stop Windows 10 in 2025 so Windows 12 should be out
They need to back TF off. Windows doesn't need to be rewritten every 5 years. I'd be happy if they'd patch up 7 and give it back. I am sick of it. It seems like I just installed 11 and it is heading on 5 years. I don't want a new OS. I don't need a new OS. Stop forcing obsolescence. It isn't fair to the consumer and PCs have been out long enough they've become like a TV. Nobody forces you to update your TV every couple of years. That has happened exactly once in my entire life and I was born mid century. When we feel like we need a new TV we buy one. It should be the same with PCs.
Does any one realise the massive e-waste it will create. Yet all that wasted hardware will still be in perfectly working order. It needs European governments to grow a backbone and tackle the nonsense by Microsoft. Just to emphasise I have a working VCR (yes you read it right) and I am transferring my home made videos to digital . So why throw away working hardware.
if that true then i might need to switch to Linux for most thing if win12 is only for copilot+ and Windows 11 only fir school with a dualboot of Linux when i dont need Windows... i might have to buy a othe ssd cause mine is too small fir dualboot...
if win12 require a stupid copilot+ pc they better give us support for Windows 11 ... cause i might have to buy a new laptop for schoo or use a outdated os if i cannot upgrade or swich to Linux....
They'll call it Windows 13 and it will not be compatible with any hardware at all.
I'd stay away from it. 13 is a bad luck number.

@@4ortytoonYep, there wouldn’t be a 13, just like there wasn’t a Windows 9.

If Trump does his Tariff bit, there won't be any new PC sales for some time to come.
yup!

If there would be no Windows at all next year, THAT would have been reason to party.
Many Windows 10 users could be hanging on for 12 to skip over 11?

I hope there's no microsoft in 2025, we'd all be better off

They should probably finish Win11 before they worry about making 12 lol.
they are building our digital prison
