I do a lot of flying off the ice in Minnesota. Your not crazy for flying in those temps. It is what it is. Just keep your hands and face warm. I do like the temp to be 20 degrees F. Or warmer.🤙👍
@@fly-guyalberta3605 i have found some on Amazon it cost me 84$ CAD but now it's 100$ cad for 4 liters... I don't know if it's different with the 185 but i was advised by airpro paramoteur in Quebec to stay away from the 800 for my ros 125. I know some people here use castrol power racing too. I wonder what kangook recommends
@@fly-guyalberta3605 GW Cycle has 1L and 5L motul 710 always in stock, they are in the NE calgary, not far from your work. Get it there, that's where I get mine. its usually cheaper on there website too, so they will give you that price if you show the page in the store.
I would be nervous about the material of the wing in that cold.... SOME VERY STRONG MATERIAL, GETS LIKE TISSUE PAPER IN THAT COLD.... JUST SHREDS APART EASILY!!!
GA typically doesn't recommend freezing temps because Ice crystal form on the leading edges. Is it the same with PPG wings. I would be concerned with lines freezing and putting the motor under a lot of stress due to the temp differences. Plastics become vey brittle at low temps. It might be worth giving the manufacturers a shout about their materials and what their brittleness becomes at low temps.

I applaud you. I'm flying in the 20's and 30's right now and it sucks 😆
you're a better man than me, I think that temp is too low, nice video
Brrrr. Looks cold even though you said it wasn’t bad.
You must have great gloves.
Very cool 👍😎👍
That just looks cold!!! Lol
you should stick with motul 710 it burns at a lower temperature and won't make carbon deposits and should lubricate better especially in Winter
I would but have a hard time finding anyone in my area that carries it

Respect 😲way too cold for a Dutchie. 🙈
I feel like a pansie. It was 45 today and I didn’t fly due to the coldness.
At 45 degrees I'd be flying in shorts and a t-shirt😂
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Have you thought about putting on Yak Trax on your boots for ice/snow launches ?
Buy ice cleats, just make sure not to step on lines😁
Lol "nanometers". When it comes to torque, nm is "newton meters"
lol!!! missed that one, good catch
Do you store in your house during winter, or can it be left in the freezing cold in a shed? Great video fellow canuck!
Mine are stored in the garage or hanger, both not heated. So cold, but maybe not as cold as outside
@@fly-guyalberta3605 great thanks!
What gloves are you using? I have some heated gloves from Costco. But at 30 or less Fahrenheit, my hands are done within 45 minutes
They are the Power in Motion heated gloves with a shell glove overtop
Hlo

@@fly-guyalberta3605 right on. I emailed Wayne couple weeks ago.
@@heritagehunting Its worth getting in contact with Air Adventure also, shop around before you commit to any one school. They're worth the drive
@@heritagehunting stay away from Air Adventure, they will take all of your money!
@@balkan_pil0t was that where you trained?
