This might be obvious at this point, but this also works perfectly once the freight reaches the city. You can have a truck station with 1 platform for each unload station, and the freight is automatically distributed between each platform to spread the products evenly to each industry.
I love having 2 HUGE distribution centers at opposite ends of the map where the trains running between them are realistic American size 5,000+ feet. Ludicrous amounts of money.
Costs a lot of money for the consumer. Now you are hauling the same materials twice. Min-max is a route each directly from source location to factory to city.
