Not sure your entirely aware Wolf however when you select a plane of any type and look at the bottom left of the pop up it says... "Escort/Patrol above" meaning you can set aircraft above any taskforce of you choosing. Meaning the Big E can have consistent CAP with AA fire.

She can do more damage to your ships than Akizuki; That's an AA ship. @21:54.... That's the Tone class CA that escaped your fleet when they destroyed the Hiyo class CV battle group!
I know you avoid using 4 Engines Bomber because they are OP, But i'd love to see them getting in on the action You can use these rules so it limit their effectiveness, All 4 Engines Bomber are not allowed to make Manual Course or Altitude Adjustment, After getting into battle you can only Assign them target and hope for the best

the SBD's glide bombing is just so painful to watch... then add the fact that they are dropping at WAY too high of an altitude, I'm surprised they managed a single hit...
In hindsight, it was overboard with the light carrier. Half the torpedoes used to tear its right side open could have been used on the battleship or a merchant instead and left fewer priority targets for the second round. But live and learn.
Did anyone else notice the heavy damages destroyer from the Carrier task force broke off the original convoy. It’s not there when he engages it a second time.

I am amaze you didn't send P-38E with 2x1000AP bombs. I found them the best to destroy IJN carriers. I start battle with them super close to the enemy task force,hit the carrier hard, and than tell my P-38E to flee at top speed. The AI doesn't tell its plane to go full speed, so the Zeroes are unable to catch up. I lost 4 in one run and 2 in another. Both runs each resulted in a carrier sunk.
One thing the AI like doing is using pairs of sub to land raids. 1 carries 60 troops, and the other carries 100 supplies. Given that it takes several days to kill all of the raiders, it might be a good strategy on less strongly held locations.

8 torpedoes into that CVL, and almost in the exact same spot! That would have almost cut her in half. She never had a chance. The B25s had already slammed her from bow to stern. SHINANO would have been reeling from an attack like that! Rest in pieces, CVL.
When some fleet have cargo ships, they have Mission land troops, when you will sink or make enough damage to CVE or BB in this fleet, whole fleet will retreat
Yeah, they're basically stripping all other theaters to the bone to keep fighting in the Solomons. Pretty sure the war's going to be over well before 1945 at this rate.
Wolf - Are you getting "hospital" ships in concert with merchant ships - I am in TTE but I don't think they are really hospital ships. I've been sinking them as they are probably carrying troops or supplies. And I get points for them. Are you having to keep carriers in port for 3 days to resupply aircraft?
Love all these videos and really enjoy your narrations. While i do plan on getting the game, a question on play/strategy. Don't see you using many (if any) US submarines. Is the game geared more toward surface action w/ tactical use of aircraft? I get that everyone has their style, but IF they are available in game, I'd think using subs inter-mixed with surface groups (especially in 'The Slot') would be safer and more economical (maybe) than ram-roding aircraft or surface groups in a confined area. JUST A QUESTION. I'm sure I'll get some colorful feedback from the community. Again, REALLY enjoy your videos on ALL your games. It's really a great way to learn.

That was my thoughts exactly. The AI in this is beyond insane. Once he gets Guadalcanal, he basically has already won the war.

Putting them at a very high altitude would mimic their real-life effectiveness.

When you bring ordinance on fighters you have to turn off auto dogfight before hitting start.
Use HE bomb against freighter , they are very effective.

British torpedoes were used. Those Beaufighters were carrying Australian Air Force roundels.
Is there a different pack you got to download for the Tokyo Express Mod to get the A20s and the P38s?
The newest TTE update has the A-20s, British or ANZAC aircraft and warships, P-39s and the Lightning

I think TTE removes the rocket Dauntlesses by default as it is a non-historic loadout.
