It feels just like the way Americans hit Yamato historically, massive squadrons clustering together. I like the way U uses Vals as cover for Kates to move in. Considering the fact that Japanese planes are mostly squashy, that is proved to be a really effective tactic, and it ensured the maximum amount of damage with the least amount of loss. Bravo!
What an episode! I tell you, this one and the adventures of Yuri on the Eastern Front are my favorites that I look forward to. Was glad to see the AI using aircraft finally in this one like you were lol. Keep it up!

The Atlanta didn't stand a chance. At this rate you'll have New Guinea by Christmas. Thanks as always for the time and professionalism you put into these videos.
Wolfpack 345 does a great job of giving the details of the game that make the difference. His enjoyment and enthusiasm are sure to attract gamers who will definitely enjoy all the aspects of this WWII naval game. Three cheers !!!
I think they've really been working on the aggression of the AI. Played through an entire campaign without major losses a while ago, then launched another last week, was completely blindsided when a bunch of torpedo bombers swooped down on my first fleet while they unloaded supplies at guadalcanal, sinking a carrier and crippling a heavy cruiser, before the surface fleet moved in and effectively knocked me out of the campaign
@@Wolfpack345 hey wolfpack I have a suggestion for the war on the sea Champaign have your submarines travel in a group, have yamato transport troops when you get the chance and have your bombers bomb the other American base cause i think the planes that attacked you twice in a row came from a different airfield or a Essex class carrier.
@@germanairace2094 Hornet and Enterprise are the only Allied carriers in the game period, and both are currently on the seabed of the Coral Sea providing homes for the local ocean creatures.

FWI, I think you have the best videos regarding war on the sea. Cinematic, and cutting out the boring stuff is what really separates you from everyone else. Keep it up 👍
I have been watching this entire series.... and I will say this is the best episode yet! I love how you compressed a lot of the repetitive gameplay, provided great cinematics, and explained everything all the same. Excellent!
Not sure if the game models it, but you probably got duds because you were going to fast. The detonators could be damaged by the impact with the water if dropped at too high a speed.
Love your cinematic scenes. It is such a great feature for your videos. Just making them even better to watch. I never miss a chance to watch your videos 👍
I am glad I hung in there. This was a great episode. That was a really well timed air attack. It is interesting to note how much less effective the IJN's AA is.
God damn, the glorious attack on the CLs and then the little Val that could surviving while all its brothers were shot down gave me massive mood whiplash
Another good video, and as a fellow player of this game i can certainly appreciate just how much effort it is to squeeze such good content out of such a limited gameplay experience. one thing i like to do is capture the line of 3 islands (the islands form the southern wall in the corridor of death) using small groups of troops inserted by submarine.
I literally haven’t watched a “let’s play” format in years, but man your channel is one hell of an exception. You playing this game (and Uboat is my other fav) is so relaxing and enjoyable to watch, and you have such a great intuition of when certain things are getting boring/repetitive (goddamn non stop American landing parties) and adjust accordingly. Keep up the excellent work! If I could input anything to improve your content, (I realize this is an old playlist) it would be to include as much cinematic clips of the battles as possible! (Even if it is at the cost of the gameplay!)
What a fantastic episode I just can't get enough of this series this my favourite series All time . Wolf pack you always make it exciting . Can't wait to see you attack New Guinea.
Gotta love the fact that this video came out just as I was getting ready for my evening meal. Apart from that, epic series my dude, this has become an addiction. Keep up the excellent content!
Brilliant episode, I hope that in the future the game is updated so that the carriers use their aircraft a lot more, would make your surface fleets have to hide a bit more/use night. I would love to see a mass attack by enemy carrier aircraft on your ships.
As the US, I had a hunter killer group off Renald Island and I sunk all of IJN’s subs and they all came to me. The trick is to ignore scout aircraft and they will come
Awesome mate!!! I’ve enjoy it from start till end. Action was all the time, nothing to add pikę good old war movie with common sense action not only Fx like new one dose. Thank you 🍻
I have recruited all the subs and use them for all my scouting. I use my surface assets to scout specific areas and to shadow found enemy ships. The Jakes are a real advantage on the subs
You can compensate for the the Val missing their torps because of the speed by correctly forming your wing. If the ship you are torpedo bombing is sailing from left to right, then you must form your kates on an echelon left while going at 200kn with them. This way you will hit 3/4 torps if they are not maneuvering too harshly.
If you want to have some fun with planes then next time when you send Kates to torpedo some fools, try manual torping. Split into groups of 3 (4 works too) Line ahead minimum distance and just drive it in manually. In most cases I noticed the bombers drop torps that are waaaay too much to the front, this way you can have near 100% accuracy with torpedos.
Those poor C3's were up against enemy destroyers armed with 九三式魚雷, Type 93 (a.k.a. Long Lance). Most powerful torpedoes used during WWII. One of those could split a humble cargo ship with ease!
Hmmm my guess to the vals just circle back around is due to when you hit the attack order. The place where the planes first start to attack would be the last known location they been to. So after they attacked and drop bombs they would go back to the same spot where you order its attack. But thats just my guess

Had a chance encounter with the North Carolina and her group against a single Sub. I launched all 6 torpedoes with 1° spread and got out. Somehow all 6 fit in the tiny window of the circle formation and found their target. Needless to say, 1BB down
WOW. You managed to hit all 6 on the BB? That...that is rare. Most people tend to be terribly inaccurate with the subs, and the circle formation can’t have been helping! The High Command should give that sub commander a medal.
@@grandemperormaximilliani1347 normally for some reason the solutions run a little behind and the last couple are late. I've also tried something different this time (2nd try in campaign mode). Instead of building the airbase up, I've built the port. I'm at a level 3 port at the moment, and no longer have to re-arm in Rabul. It has paid off big time as now Gaudal is protected night and day, and I can run more distant missions, without worry. @@Deuce02339 I like that port strategy. I’ve seen in other comments that the enemy fleet tends to be crippled long before Guadalcanal gets a full airbase, and this appears to be true at least for carriers. Honestly it does seem better to build up the port, repair, and fight right there rather than having to put a whole battlefleet out of action after two or three battles due to ammo shortage and then have them miss the major decisive engagements early on. Especially considering that in a major engagement Betty bombers would be powerful but no port is in range of Coral Sea or the area beyond Guadalcanal, rendering them mostly useless, and so air power is not the main fight in most battles until carriers roll out. When subs cause chaos. 😂 As long as no ships were lost it will end up fine. Still impressive that you killed a BB in the middle of a formation!
