Moustache EDP is extremely classy. H24 EDT is a masterpiece. I like the scent profile, but it is true that the scent can be polarizing. Or is it really ? As crazy as it sounds, people around me ALL loved it. I cannot count how many people told me how good I smell. The obvious conclusion for me is that this fragrance has to be smelled in the air and a harm length distance. Not a cuddling fragrance. This fragrance is less for the wearer than for the people around.
Excellent list! I highly recommend Boucheron Jaipur EDP. It is cheap, but super good, smooth, and classy. Smells like a super premium cinnamon soap. You will certainly love it.
My current signature is Armaf Hunter Intense and it is such a gem to me. Last and smells very similar to Sauvage but it’s different enough from Sauvage to stand out. I think it’s a mix between Sauvage and Invictus. Only thing I don’t like is the bottle itself, but for the price, scent, how strong it is, and how good it projects, it’s a win to me
Moustache EDP was my first fragrance ever and to this day I think it’s the most versatile fragrance in my collection, I can wear it to a formal event, to work, and to intimate situations.
Recently revisited Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signature and it’s a great great inexpensive fragrance. The tonka note achieved in the scent rivals the high quality Chanel version used in the Allure Homme series. A great video roundup(totally agree with the choice of Moustache!)
Bogart Pour Homme definitely smells like it would be much pricier than it is. It’s really is a good time smelling how much it changes from spray to dry down.
I just bought this fragrance and it’s my SOTD. It smells amazing and I absolutely love that cherry 🍒 tobacco scent. It’s so stunning, I’m ordering another bottle! This fragrance is a manly, old school scent and I love it!
I absolutely love Moustache EDP! I also love Tuxedo, but there are enough differences that Moustache stands on its own. I agree, it is very versatile, and the price is outstanding.
I have Naxos and Bogart Pour Homme. I find Bogart is way more masculine than Naxos. Where Naxos comes off sweeter. Both are great. The Bogart can hold its own for sure.
Hey everyone H24 is around $55 for 50ml or 100ml tester at FragBuy, $27 is for travel set. Great video, I love Moustache EDP! It smells much greater than the price I paid. I actually adore the bottle as well. I need to stop kicking the can in trying the JV you recommend often! Thanks for another one.
Nice video! Opinions will vary of course but personally I think a lot of the arab ""clones"" don't smell cheap at all, they actually deliver great quality and superb performance for the price point quite often. Lattafa Liam, Afnan 9pm or Turathi Blue, those all punch way above their weight. Orientals aside, I'd also like to mention Reyane Tradition (esp. Insurrection II Wild, some Naxos resemblance) and the very popular Montblanc Explorer
Hey Justin, I had to come back to this video to say that I blind bought Bogart Pour Homme the day you put out this video and I'm absolutely glad I did because I am blown away! I usually have a rule about blind buys where I don't blind buy anything over $25 (I may do $30-35) and I just felt compelled to jump on this one and I'm actually wearing it as my scent of the day as I type this. Performance is amazing (still kicking after 7 hours) and it smells incredible. Might be my new favorite lavender fragrance or at least a top 5. I can see wearing this one all year around.
Nice the H24 is on discounters, maybe waiting for the Herbes Vivre (sp?) flanker. I love that Bogart, which i discovered along with Gianfranco Ferre's Ferre -- really great stuff and super cheap when I got them.
For sub $50 fragrances ranging from at least a 1oz up about up to the common 100m/3.4 oz size at online discounters, I think these scents can give a lot of guys a fragrance wardrobe with some range without stocking up on a bunch of uninteresting scents. No particular order. 1 Mont Blanc Legend Spirit 2 Burberry London 3 Tommy Bahama St. Kitts 4John Varvatos Artisan Pure 5 Terre de Hermes (1 oz) 6 Nautica Voyage (slight drug store level of musk but overall very quality) 7 Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signature 8 Dolce & Gabanna Pour Homme Intenso
Finally picked up Varvatos Vintage. Worn it the last two days and thoroughly enjoying it. Worn at home and in the office, very unique but still easy going. Thanks for the recommendation(s).
@alegee79 I actually just sold it but not because I didn't like it. I hadn't worn it much, I liked smelling it now and again more than wearing it. I've bought and sold so many just to discover different scents, and I'm pretty disciplined at not holding on to too many at once, and using funds from sales to buy new ones. I'd recommend trying it especially as it's pretty inexpensive. Good quality too.
I am so inexperienced and uninformed about fragrances that it's kind of embarrassing. I've only ever owned 2 bottles of cologne in my life because they were Christmas gifts. The one I still have was a men's fragrance from VS that’s now discontinued, and I have maybe a quarter of the bottle left. The way you talk about this stuff so passionately and informative makes it much less intimidating as someone looking into purchasing fragrance for myself for the first time, so thank you. And you sold me on like 4/8 of these fragrances just in how you describe them haha. Will be trying some of these out, cheers. From this list I’m deciding between Moustache, Noire Sport, Brioni, or Bogart pour homme
We all start from the place you’re in! You’ll only be learning from here, and you’ll see a transformation in your knowledge only continue to grow. I’m glad the video was helpful!
I just picked up Encre Noire (original, not Sport) yesterday. Living in Scotland, this is such a photorealistic scent of a walk through lightly damp, shaded ground in the woods during Spring. I put this purchase off but 50ml for around $15 was unavoidable, expecially to boost my order up for free delivery. I might try layering with Bottega Veneta Parfum to add the trees to the woodland ground vibe I get here. I would go as far as saying the transportational power of fragrances like these work wonders for mindfulness and sense of being. Im intrigued by the Caron here too especially after recently picking up Pour un Homme de Caron Le Soir which I see as something in the realm of YSL LNDL (amped up) and JPG LMLP (toned down). Was a great price too.
Love your videos brotha you never disappoint. I actually sprayed some old Shcool nautica i got compliments all day its something about that scent . I payed $17 bucks . But the scents you have on the list are game changers without breaking the bank.
I have Moustache and I love it. I need to get a decant of Tuxedo to see how it measures up and which one I like more. I have Encre Noir Sport but I haven’t tested it enough to see how feel about it. I am seriously interested in a couple Caron fragrances and I want Eclat too. I love grapefruit fragrances.
1) Brioni Eclat 2) almost anything by Lalique 3) NR bleu noir edp (and parfum) 4) Franck Olivier Amber 5) good clones (Porto neroli, Hercules, insurrection 2 wild, celestial, amber and leather etc) 6) banana republic Dark amber and tobacco and tonka. 7) animale animale JV vintage is good but I personally don’t like the scent profile. Moustache smells great but doesn’t last (kismet has better longevity after maceration).
I agree with Bogart Pour Homme and Moustache EDP, both are amazing. I love the notes in BPH as they work together to deliver what to me smells like a smooth pipe tobacco or upscale cigar shop vibe. It’s an unbelievable performer as well. As far as Moustache, it’s a beautiful scent that I wished projected a little harder. It seems to sit really close on me after about an hour. Will probably pick up H24 next, it sounds intriguing.
Chopard malaki line…50-60 bucks for an 80ml actual “niche quality” fragrance, unbeatable in this category imo, Oud malaki could easily be 150 plus, luckily it isnt😅, and man ive also really come to love Varvatos Vintage, the vibe it gives off to me is like you’re driving in an old chevy chevelle, with a leather interior, on the nightly streets of LA with a vintage watch on :)
Moustache is the casual suit to YSL’s tuxedo. I know that the patchouly is listed as one of the notes, but it’s nowhere as prominent as in YSL tuxedo. I feel like that what makes it feel lighter
I've really been enjoying vetiver scents lately, especially the DNA's of Terre D'Hermes and Encre Noire. In general, drawn to dry citrusy/woody scents. I've considered purchasing Lalique Pour Homme (EDP), other Encre Noire's, Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree, and and now Brioni Eclat. From these, which is your favorite and what other (budget friendly) recommendations might you suggest with a similar but unique scent profile? I know I shouldn't blind buy, quality clones are allowed and encouraged! Thank you!
I'm wearing Kenzo Homme Edp today and fits today's topic as I got my 100ml bottle for $35. Also, received my sample of Brioni Eclat yesterday and it's good 👊🏾
Great list, many of which I've tried. My personal list would be: Bentley for Men Absolute, a cedar bomb. Lataffa Rahgba Wood Intense, sweet, woody, smokey, incensy and really carries in the air. Jacques Bogart Oud Edition, smells uncannily like ADP's Oud. Lalique Homage a'l Homme, a violet heavy gentlemenly scent that smells expensive, nice bottle too.
It was reformulate and the newer one is the one you want. I forget exactly, but you can tell by the bottle. The older formulation is hard to find and more expensive because of it.
Interested in trying Brioni EDP Eclat and I ordered Vintage about a week ago, just waiting for it to arrive. It will be my first fougere I think. Already own Hermes H24 EDT, I love it , just haven’t worn it recently because it is a cooler month right now. Another channel featured Jacques Bogart Pour Homme and said that they would refund me if I didn’t enjoy it… I enjoyed it lol
Hermes I purchased the travel or gift set 📐 saved money smell great 👍🏽 never blind but again 🤧 jaq bougart por homme .if you want to blind but try 8 and bob it's a sure love at first sniff
Funny thing about JV's Vintage: it ended up being a great exemple of how our language is precarious when it comes to describing an experience like smell for me. Justin has put me on a lot of good stuff, so naturally I wanted to try Vintage and by his description I sort of envisioned in my mind how it would smell, I thought I would love it. Turns out that was not the case, the smell was very different from what I expected and I couldn't wear it. However, going back and watching justin talk about it... I agree with every description! I dont think what he says about the fragrance is wrong at all, it really is more of a "a scent is worth more than a thousand words" kind of deal.
There is a lot of crap out there and I always find it amazing that someone at the corporate HQ decided to put that product out to the public. Love your choices. JV Vintage is one of my favorites, I just wish the performance was better.
Hi Justin, been watching your videos now for a while and love your content! Very calm, funny at times and great detailed objective reviews! One thing I’ve noticed is you haven’t reviewed Diors private collection like ambre nuit, oud Ispahan etc.. or lV Ombré nomade, have you tried them before? Would love to see you review them!
Part of the fun is finding something expensive for less than the budget fragrances. The nicest sub-$50 bottle I've picked up lately is 18.21 Sweet Tobacco Spirits.
I bought decants of both moustache and tuxedo, sprayed one on each arm and asked the 3 women in my house which they liked better... all 3 said moustache!! So I went with it, and been happy ever since, not to mention saved serious $$
I haven't smelled Encre Noire Sport but the OG Encre Noire is EASILY 10/10 for me. It just checks all the boxes and it's amazing that it's less than $50
There’s a scent for every nose and every budget. Love the channel & your attempt to broaden everyone’s olfactory experiences. SOTD is Encre Noir A’L Extreme & my fav in the line-although I’ll be wearing EN Sport more in the spring. Definitely gonna check out some of the others. P.S. I’m digging your horn on that Geoffrey Dean album!
Justin, I'd like to see a video from you on some Pierre de Velay stuff. I just got a couple of discovery sets and they're pretty interesting. Maybe Roja will send you some?
For me, i find Versace to be cheap and uninteresting. Of the Eros line, i think Flame is better than the original and the other flankers. I had Eros edp and gave it away. Justin has turned me into a niche snob. It’s not his fault but I’m glad he did. I’m a man and make my own decisions. Great video!
In 2019 before I jumped back into the hobby, I smelled Moustache at Sephora and practically demanded the family get me THAT ONE for Father's Day. (To my son's credit, he grabbed it for much cheaper at Fragrancenet even back then.) Way too many bottles later, I still reach for it more often than any other designer. All of the ones on your list are fantastic, but I do think the H24 EDP is worth the higher price. I have yet to find a Jacques Bogart fragrance that I don't enjoy, especially for their crazy cheap prices.
No fragrance is blind buy worthy. But if you want to blind buy a fragrance, then find a reviewer who seems to have the same taste as yours. I follow some reviewers because their depictions of fragrances are pretty accurate, but I dont have the same taste at all. Some others are not so good in their analysis, but I found myself having the same taste. Those last ones are the ones that can make me want to buy blind. Follow your taste.
It definitely is. I blind bought it. I also blind bought Royal Crown Sultan and that is definitely worth it too, depending on what you can afford. $50 for Moustache, $600 for Sultan... Sometimes I like Moustache better. It depends on the weather and the occasion.
@@deucedaprodeuca thank you for the recommendation. It would be hard for me to pay 600 bucks on 1 fragrance, I can build a nice set with that amount😅😅. But hey, it’s your passion man.
moustage is amazing i blindbuyed it and just love it. encre noir sport is too weak in performance in my opinion. fades out in no time. thanks for the video!
I recommend "Dunhill Icon" (silver, EdP). It's a younger and fresher take on "Terre D'Hermès". More suitable for guys under 30. Another Dunhill scent is "Dunhill Fresh". A herbal, fresh office scent without any citrus and a slightly floral approach. Both came in high quality bottles with heavy caps.
Thanks Eric! Performance will always be variable. H24 EDT lasts 6-8 hours no problem for me. You might be going nose blind, or perhaps you have dryer skin!
3-5 sprays of Bogart Pour Homme? 😱🤯🤣 Maybe from the newer bottles? I had to relegate my old juice to a travel atomizer for safety. 😂 Actually a relief if they watered it down a bit.
Moustache EDP is extremely classy.
H24 EDT is a masterpiece. I like the scent profile, but it is true that the scent can be polarizing. Or is it really ? As crazy as it sounds, people around me ALL loved it. Yeah my morning poop is a masterpiece aswell then
Excellent list! I highly recommend Boucheron Jaipur EDP. It is cheap, but super good, smooth, and classy. Smells like a super premium cinnamon soap. You will certainly love it.
Just ordered this a couple days ago and can’t wait to get my nose on it
I agree wholeheartedly about Jaipur EDP.
My current signature is Armaf Hunter Intense and it is such a gem to me. Last and smells very similar to Sauvage but it’s different enough from Sauvage to stand out. I’m glad you enjoy it
It’s such a good scent. Dumb reach plus it’s cheap enough for daily wear
Honestly when i think of john varvatos vintage justin copeland is there person i think of. You have talked it up for years now!
😁
Moustache EDP was my first fragrance ever and to this day I think it’s the most versatile fragrance in my collection, I can wear it to a formal event, to work, and to intimate situations.

Love Moustache! From personal experience, I would also add Bois Imperial from Essential Parfums 😃
I love Bois Imperiale. It’s not $50 or less, but it’s priced very well for niche!
I get a lot of compliments when wearing Bois Imperial - it is a beautiful fragrance and well worth the money.
@@milosb9979I imagine with mint instead of basil, that would be one amazing scent!
I'm currently using h24 edp man this scent smells so high quality yes but it's not everyone cup of tea this one is definitely my top 3 fragrance
H24 edp 💪✅

Versace Man Eau Fraiche (man I’m fresh) is my favorite affordable signature
1) Brioni Eclat

Perfect summation of difference between cheap and inexpensive. Too many don't get it. Think I'm going to try Brioni, H24 and the Kenzo.
Perfect list! I own all but 1 of these fragrances and couldn’t agree more with your list.
I've really been enjoying vetiver scents lately, especially the DNA's of Terre D'Hermes and Encre Noire. In general, drawn to dry citrusy/woody scents. I’d recommend the Brioni or TDH Eau Givrée!
Caron has some bangers that are very underrated and not much people talking about them
I would love to shop at Fragrancebuy CA but unfortunately neither them nor Jomasshop sell to Australia. Great list and thank you very much.
Jacques bogart is already sold out today, Saturday 24th. Sad! I will wait for it to be available. Thanks!
I don't know how to pronounce that Caron fragrance but I really enjoy it. Great choice.

I'm definitely ordering that Bogart pour homme 👍🏼I like naxos but I love the note tonka bean, so thank you Justin 👍🏼😊
Brioni Eclat: unique, quality, fantastic. Classic, gentlemanly scent. Brioni Intense is also an amazing hitter! It's probably my favorite of all time.
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
BRIONI ECLAT is absolutely amazing. Definitely on my list of favorites. H24 had to grow on me but I feel it now.
I actually find Moustache, Aimez-Moi and Encre Noire Sport wear beautifully on me.
I love it!
What about expensive fragrances that smell cheap? 😂
I haven’t done an expensive that smell “cheap”, but I have done a niche that smell mainstream!
70% of PDM fragrances 😂😂

It was reformulate and the newer one is the one you want. I forget exactly, but you can tell by the bottle. The older formulation is hard to find and more expensive because of it.
I bought Bogart Pour Homme on your recommendation. Amazing! Especially for the price. More like this. Please. Thank you.

Please I need information about nitro red and also others black: blue: green 😊
I would put all the Brioni scents in this lineup. Brioni intense is my favorite fall fragrance…period.
Definitely
CK One. I know, I know but it just has that nostalgia.
I feel you on that Varvatos
Recently picked up Bogart PH based on your recent reviews on it….
Man… for $20/100ml….
I’ve been impressed.
Good call 👍🏻
Kenzo … with the ginger and citrus with a woody dry down will it resembles YSL lhomme at all ?!?
Not to me. L’Homme’s sweetness and creaminess sets it apart
Is Mustache Edp a blind buy worthy ?
Yes
No fragrance is blind buy worthy. But if you want to blind buy a fragrance, then find a reviewer who seems to have the same taste as yours. I follow some reviewers because their depictions of fragrances are pretty accurate, but I dont have the same taste at all. Some others are not so good in their analysis, but I found myself having the same taste. Those last ones are the ones that can make me want to buy blind. Follow your taste.
@@everything.anything thank you for your feedback. When you said to trust my taste, it was really an eye opener for me. Appreciated. 🫡
1:14 sound is a true torture to ears ;)
Excellent, keep doing these type of videos twice an year.
moustage is amazing i blindbuyed it and just love it. encre noir sport is too weak in performance in my opinion. fades out in no time.
thanks for the video!
I absolutely love Moustache
Bogart pour Homme can put many a niche to shame.
Loved this video
Your first choice began this show , classy and a tone setter!
I used to own Icon!
Great recommendations 👌
Thanks for watching!
Encre Noire Sport is awesome
Abercombie first instinct blue smells way more them What it costs imo
Man them cougars love that John V fragrance!
Lots of crap out there! 😅
I have h24 edp. I like it because I don't smell nothing else like it.
I love it when he does the helium voice over. I think I do sound like that😂😅
😆
Brioni eclat Is good💪
Sorry but h24 edt doesn’t last, not even 30 minutes. It smells so nice indeed, gladly they released the edp. Nice list as well :)
Varvatos vintage is soooo good.
Can someone rank it top to bottom ? I want the one which is strong and addictive
You can’t go wrong with Caron’s Aimez Moi Commes Je Suis. It’s an awesome scent that is unique but appealing.
Liz Claiborne Bora Bora for men. Fantastic and super cheap!
(Coming from a lady)
Classic!
You are very right.
Thanks, Justin! Nice to hear about some affordable spring fragrances. I'll definitely be trying them out!
Good list
Thanks!
Sup everyone Justin. Let me talk to ya sotd encore noir sport. Still smelling it on my skin 8 1/2 hours in YEAH
It's easy to get carried away on the good cheapies and clones.
Great video please make same under 100$
Niche & Designer houses are becoming a distant memory!
