Lalique is my favorite house! Everything has a place- I love that they don’t over-release and that there are no redundancies. Price/quality/uniqueness is unbeatable! Never heard of it before but she loved it so i went out to buy it for her for christmas, was called Reve D'infini. While buying that for her i come across Encre Noir a L'Extreme and i buy it right away. Its actually one of the gems in my collection from the stroy of how i found out about it and bought it

I wore it as a signature fragrance until it was discontinued, and I switched to Lalique Pour Homme Lion. If you can find Lalique Pour Homme Le Faune, try it. It’s a shame that it was discontinued. Sebastian, I love how you’ve discovered Lalique in the past few years. You introduced me to Encre Noir. Thank you for ranking your Top 10 Fragrances from this house. I’ve enjoyed their fragrances for years, and I look forward to trying all of these. I recently found an vintage bottle of Lalique by Lalique for women, which my wife used to wear along with Lalique White for women. It smells wonderful. The best would be one of Lalique’s vintage fragrances in one of the beautiful flacons.
Encre Noire is in fact my signature fragrance, I like it more than A L'Extreme. It reminds me of painting with ink as a child, something A L'Extreme does not manage to do. I only have and have smelled four of the Lalique frangrances in the video, so couldn't share a ranking for all, but my nose ranks the four I have as follows: 1. Encre Noire 2. Encre Noire A L'Extreme 3. Encre Noire Sport 4. Lalique White Also imho the fragrance, the bottle, and the name of Encre Noire are such a showcase of perfectly coherent design in all fronts; a masterpiece. PS. Needless to say I admire Lalique as a brand, for their perfumery as well as their glass craftmanship. Love glass sculptures in general.
Big fan of Lalique. Along with Guerlain, great price/performance and quality. Have most of these and Equus, Lion and White are in my work rotation a few times a month.
I wear Encre noir daily and layer it with other things. I also wear Encre noir extreme just as much. I like them equally. Will buy the sport version too. I’m a woman (not a goat at all!) and adore vetiver on men and also on me. I may try some of the others now I’ve seen this. Thanks.

Encre Noire Sport is my favourite. I wasn't a fan for original and A L'Extreme, but they have grown on me. Especially A L'Extreme, which reminds me a lot of Tom Fords Ebene Fume.
Pour Homme Equus (horse) and Pour Homme (lion) are two of my favorites. Interestingly, there was a lesser known third fragrance in the Pour Homme line, long since discontinued, called POUR HOMME LE FAUNE. Has an engraved Faun (or Pan) on the bottle. By far my favorite Lalique frag of all time. A very whimsical and mysterious aromatic fougere, with a very seductive touch of anise. Highly recommended (if you can find it)!

I've only tried Encre Noire, EN Sport and one other. I enjoy both ENs, but the third, Hommage a L'Homme has become somewhat of a 'dumb reach' for me. It's easy to wear and smells great. All are a great value, I look forward to trying more. Great review, thanks!
I have White, Encre Noire Sport, and Encre Noire A L' Extreme. Love all 3, with each filling a separate application (i.e. White isn't getting much wear in the colder weather). Really interested in L'Insoumis and Lalique Pour Homme. They are on my radar for future purchases.

Thanks for another great video, Sebastian... I'm trying real hard to like Encre Noire à l'extrême. I no longer feel asphyxiated by it so I guess it's an improvement... Thing is soooo dry and sooo harsh... Anyways, Insoumis does not have a single word equivalent in English. Rebellious is rebel in French. Not exactly the same meaning. Insoumis refers to a person, a people or an animal that has not been forced into sumbmission. Rebellion is open opposition, It's war. Insoumis means that obedience has not been granted nor attained. Its the opposite of submitted. A person or people that have yet to submit. Peace
The Ombre Noire took a few wearings for me to fully appreciate as well. For an amber/booze joint, it's pretty unique when you come around to it. The trick is to understand the mint. It's a dichotomy of light cool, and heavy sweet.
I just blind bought Lalique Equus; it was a straight toss-up between Lion and Equus, and Equus only won out because people had likened Lion to Creed BdP. I wanted something a bit different to try, and I was intrigued by the clean hay barn and leather saddle references in some reviews - I really enjoy woody, leather, aromatic fragrances so that's what swayed me in the end. I've not received it in the post yet, but I'm looking forward to wearing it in the spring.

I have only tried three of them but I am a fan of Encre Noir Sport. It a very clean natural scent the does not offend anyone so l love wearing it to the gym or around the house.
Pour Homme is so good. It’s sophisticated and not at all grandpa. Vibrant and sharp but with a wonderful bitter orange. Slight sweetness but is not a cotton candy bomb. It is one of my very favorite fragrances. I need to a few more of these! Thank you.
I do love Lalique Lion but as I leave in a very hot climate place I can’t wear it as much as I feel like to. But one thing one must not ignore about Lion Is that it Is What Bois du Portugal would like to be. Also for me it is one of the most parisian scents ever created.

Encre Noire A L'Extreme disappears in 30 mins on me. Resembles a VERY weak YSL M7. Lalique White when I use 10 squirts, but only when I get hot and sweaty too, I gets tons of compliments!
Great house, such good value. Have most of this list except the hommage and linsoumis. Try to check out the more expensive (but still great value) lines too, Woody Gold, Fleur Universelle and Or Intemporel are excellent.

Yep. Been reading about that lately. Renee Lalique started designing jewelry in the 19th century, also art glass and eventually perfume bottles in the early 1900's. Well known for his Art Nouveau and Art Deco influences. He was closely associated with Francois Coty and his fragrance's bottles, as well as other perfume houses. It was probably inevitable that Lalique would eventually venture into a fragrance house as well. Interestingly, it was his granddaughter that made that happen. Their bottles are understandably fantastic. To me, the visual presentation is very important. I have the Lalique Pour Homme Lion in my "Barbershop" fougere collection. Fantastic bottle.
I have those three encre noir. I put them in the same order as you. But the number one for me is pour homme lion. I think I'll have to check out that l'insoumis. Sounds like it's right up my alley.

Lalique is a house I love even though I only have 2 of their fragrances; the original Encre Noir and Pour Homme Lion are both amazing. I definitely want to get the other 2 Encre Noir's and Equus.

Great video and great list. I own all the Lalique's in your video and a few from the Noir Premier Collection. I agree with most of your rankings. Exceptions being Lalique Pour Homme (Lion) I would place at number one and Ombre Noire number two. Everything else is exactly where I would place them. I'm not sure why you want to compare ON and BfMI as, to me, they are nothing alike. :D Maybe that's your OCD thing? JK of course!! ;) Great list and these are all pretty good IMO. Your comments on Lalique White are spot on. Voyageur is so so good!!! Do you have, or have you tried, L'Insoumis Ma Force? That's one I have yet to pick up.

Equus is perfect, kinda classy reminiscence of Bleu de Chanel for 25 euros ... i had Lion (pour homme too) but this is more wearable and kinda youthful
Yeah I can only give a fragrance 2 maybe 3 trys..if I have (try) to like a fragrance I feel as though I wasn't that much into it to begin with..i do realize you can grow to love a fragrance..however I don't appreciate those as much as ones loved at first sniff.
I love the original EN. Its so unique and fantastic. I also like EN extreme BUT my 2019 batch is extremly weak. It lasts about 1 hour and the the projection is gone and its just a skin scent. If I rub my hands it activates a bit but its just different like in the opening. Its like you said, its a smoky warm cognac scent. Very excluisve scent. But its weak I can literally bath in it and still its gone after 1 hour. Maybe I got a broken scent or its old or something like that. Its sad.
Have amethyst which I no longer wear and had the opportunity to smell some others, they were nice but not made me buy them.Still think they make good fragrances for the price

Creed Bois du Portugal is what Lalique Pour Homme lion wants to be. That's why the Lalique came after BdP. They're both great though.

I still love the original; Encre Noire is a really great Vetiver fragrance.
Homage is an amazing and unique scent. I have about 4 bottles just in case someone hypes it!

Love Lalique. I have White, a l'extreme and I just got L'insoumis. Price is right!!!
Went to Lalique store, i tried these fragrances. All of them was good, some does offer niche quanlity especially its too good for the price.

I just discovered your channel. I’ve always been drawn to colognes that were, shall we say, not on a shelf at your supermarket. My current favorite is Versace Eros flame. I know that’s a few tiers lower than the colognes in most of your videos, but I would like to be able to participate in the conversation. Could you do or have you done a beginner type video?

The opening of Encre Noir Extreme is so amazing but the deeper dry down is too smoky and gothic. It's the opposite of an uplifting fragrance
Lalique is a house I love even though I only have 2 of their fragrances; the original Encre Noir and Pour Homme Lion are both amazing. I definitely want to get the other 2 Encre Noir's and Equus.
I love the Lalique house, Encre Noire A L’extreme is my favourite even though it doesn’t last on my skin.

Great review of Lalique house,a bit underrated. I haven't got any of them but would like to start off with PH lion and EN sport. I feel it could be safe blind buy.
Lion might not be safe I feel Lion is the most classic in this collection. Start with Equus it's more modern to me! :)

Great video and great list. I own all the Lalique's in your video and a few from the Noir Premier Collection.
I agree with most of your rankings. Exceptions being Lalique Pour Homme (Lion) I would place at number one and Ombre Noire number two. Everything else is exactly where I would place them.
I'm not sure why you want to compare ON and BfMI as, to me, they are nothing alike. :D Maybe that's your OCD thing? JK of course!! ;) Great list and these are all pretty good IMO. Your comments on Lalique White are spot on. Voyageur is so so good!!!
Do you have, or have you tried, L'Insoumis Ma Force? That's one I have yet to pick up.
I'm not trying to comparing them I feel like I default to the other! Oh well. Subconscious stuff happens.

I just love LALIQUE - L’INSOUMIS. This is hidden gem. Blind bought it after a review by "Gents Scents". My no. 1 lalique. No 2: LALIQUE - ENCRE NOIRE A L’EXTREME.

The Encre Noire have zero projection. Skin scent after the first spray. Such a shame because I love them all.

Equus is perfect, kinda classy reminiscence of Bleu de Chanel for 25 euros ... i had Lion (pour homme too) but this is more wearable and kinda youthful
Yeah I can only give a fragrance 2 maybe 3 trys..if I have (try) to like a fragrance I feel as though I wasn't that much into it to begin with..i do realize you can grow to love a fragrance..however I don't appreciate those as much as ones loved at first sniff.
I love the original EN. Its so unique and fantastic. I also like EN extreme BUT my 2019 batch is extremly weak. It lasts about 1 hour and the the projection is gone and its just a skin scent. If I rub my hands it activates a bit but its just different like in the opening. Its like you said, its a smoky warm cognac scent. Very excluisve scent. But its weak I can literally bath in it and still its gone after 1 hour. Maybe I got a broken scent or its old or something like that. Its sad.
Voyager bit similar with armani attitude without coffee note... In my opinion... Both great parfumes which both discontinue... Unfortunatly
i think encre noire is the absolute best. Rounded, complete smell.

Have amethyst which I no longer wear and had the opportunity to smell some others, they were nice but not made me buy them.Still think they make good fragrances for the price
