Safari reminds me of my father as it was his signature scent. He passed away 16 years ago and I found a bottle at Ross D4L and had to pick it up. I wear if from time to time and brings me back to earlier years with my dad.

Justin, my wife and I both are fans of your channel (and enjoy seeing Grace and her sister) but I definitely want you to know that rather than doing another video like this focusing on higher end fragrances, THIS price point (kinda between $60 and $100) needs a lot more attention for us regular guys! There are tons of TH-cam videos about cheapies, and while I personally really do appreciate Niche fragrances and their different facets, many of us can't afford to really focus on those with any regularity if we're looking for things we're going to actually purchase anytime soon.

Justin the hermes vetiver is amazing love at first sniff i recently brought a full bottle great suggestion.
Safari was one of the first fragrances I ever bought. One of the few that I started with that I still love just as much, if not more than day 1.
Safari will always be one of my favorites. I wore it when it came out in 1992! I think that I was wearing Xeryus Givenchy and Fahrenheit Dior, in heavy rotation (I know I showed my age, 😂). I have been a fraghead since the early 80’s.
Eau Intense Vetiver is great, but it is a Sichuan pepper fragrance lol. Its sparkly citrus on some vetiver but a lot of Sichuan and i love that!

Rochas Moustache is a great cool weather fragrance. I also enjoy Terre d'Hermes Parfum along with the original.
Eau Intense Vetiver is that juice.. All year round
Shoot I wore Safari all though my high school year back in 92’! Loved it, and Polo Sport as well.

Safari is one of those important scents, I use to spray my sheets and pillows after I woke up and before I went to sleep. Hermes eu intense vet. Awesome! Everything you said. Now I have to record these into the sniff db that was lost at update. 😡
I do have a bottle from ralph lauren safari from the year 2007 and my god each year it gets better and better no idea how and why

Bogart Pour Homme is a fantastic alternative to Mugler's Pure Havanne if you're not prepared to pay the extra for Xerfoff's Naxos. An awesome cheapie.

The Bogart Pour Homme is remarkable. Everyone I know likes it and even comments when I have way "better" scents.
Bogart reminds me of Naxos mixed with Versace The Dreamer/Nikos Sculpture edt
Mustache is such an amazing scent. I played around and layered it with Killian's angel share and man... SMH!!!
Justin Love your work. New to this fragrance journey. This is a side note. But I blind bought a 30 ml of Ganymede. Now I know my nose is still novice but I feel like all I’m getting is Leather rubber and a hint of that curry. Nothing else. Not getting any citrus . Curious if I’m missing something? If I have a bad bottle or that’s what I’m supposed to be smelling. Thanks
Thank you Jose. I don’t believe you’re missing anything. At its core, Ganymede is a bit of a polarizing scent with some unusual elements. If you have plans to continue to explore samples of other niche fragrances over the next few months, maybe get away from Ganymede for the time being. Then return to it and see how you feel.

Cope, my man. I think the "fruity note" you are referring to in Kenzo Homme EDP is Fig. I’ve seen some marketing materials with pictures of fig in the background of that fragrance. And props for recommending Moustache!! The cheapest fragrance in my collection but one of my favorites- so special and so classy!! Last week I was at a very nice, small restaurant and a guy at the table next to us was wearing so much terre d‘hermes that we could literally taste it and had to switch tables. so me and that fragrance won’t be friends in the near future ;(

Tbh I much prefer Ted Lapidus Pour Homme to Jacque Bogart Pour Homme.
What would you say the major differences are compared between eau intense vetiver roja vetiver, and nishane sultan vetiver? I tested eau intense and really enjoyed it, I'm just not 100% sure whether it's the vetiver that I'm really enjoying within that fragrance, but I can't physically test the other 2, they would be a blind buy 😅
They are all very different from each other. Just how so is too much to type in this comment. 😆

@@stayfreshproductions thanks for taking time to reply 😁. I'm not great at detecting specific notes in fragrances. Would you say that vetiver is the dominant note in eau intense? Because I tend to be drawn to fragrances with vetiver in them, but I'm not sure whether it's the vetiver that I'm enjoying, if that makes sense 😂. Eau intense vetiver was the only one that caught my attention when testing the whole terre d'hermes line.

Another great inexpensive summertime frag is Gorse by Laboratory Perfumes. Very, very similar to Creed's Virgin Island Water, but a little more masculine & a lot cheaper.

@@stayfreshproductions Most of the time I end up watching the WHOLE video anyway. It's just sometimes good to have the video time stamped with the names of the colognes so in the event I want to make a quick purchase I can more easily navigate the video to get the names of the colognes.

I love safari. I wore it to school when I was 15-16. I didn’t realise at the time that it didn’t suit a teenager lol. I’m 31 now and I still have a bottle to this day.

I would change the Brioni edp with Dune from Dior. Such a classy and underrated scent.
With regard to the KENZO, I found much better reception from the Kenzo Intense and the scent profile it exudes. I was one of those who wore Safari in the mid 90's. Definitely apprediated in that era!! Thanks for your list and the production.

I just received my bottle of Kouros body from YSL, and I'm so happy to have it in the collection before it's discontinued. I recommend that you all try to at least get to know this masterpiece while there is still time. It is, in fact, a different fragrance and to the happiness of many completely different from the original Kouros.
I wonder if you know this fragrance and, if so, your opinion about it?

That guerlain l'homme edt is my top 2 frag in collection, fell in love when I've smelled it for the first time. Still, after a year having it, it makes me drool over it.
Idk if you have allready done that video, but maybe a new video idea: bright/summer fragrances, that aren't just citrus or aquatic, so I'm talking about something like bois imperial, or H24 edt. Something that might catch you with refreshment, but not coming from citrus/aquatic notes. Hope you'll see that idea regarding your vast fragrance knowledge 😉

My SOTD today is an incredible cheapie that you recommended a while ago: Guy Laroche Horizon. Calling it the best fragrance I've ever bought for less than $10 is true...but a bit unfair, because it wasn't just a great deal, but is legitimately a very good, interesting frag. Not a 10/10, but easily an 8. And for the price you can still get it at (despite being discontinued, I think), truly a steal.

For who thinks Kenzo Edp is too woody, the marine is a little less woody and is pretty cozy, dont go wrong in high heat.

Hence why I struggle to reccomend brioni perfumes, as the 60-80usd market is extremely competitive and there's just so many good options around. For 45 and below I can totally see it, but that's not the price we're getting in my place.
I don't think I've ever tried an entexpensive fragrance before. But I'll trust your word & keep an eye out.
