Good morning Eric and Jax, thanks for the great video, I hope you never run out of roads to travel. The inn looked cool, bummer about not having an overnight parking spot. Hope you found a better one
Great video Eric! Very fun and interesting. 🐘😁👍🏻 Thanks for Sharing! I sure love watching Jax. ❤️ I have an old Mama kitty that looks just like him! 🐱 He is so cute! Have fun and stay safe out there. 🚐
I used to tie down motorcycles all of the time on trailers or in vans. Always, Always, Always used Red Ancra Aircraft quality tie downs. Never had a failure. Still use them for certain things like 30 years later.
For decades, it has been common practice throughout the states, that Sunday & Monday (the slowest days) are 'the weekend' for the owners & personnel of privately-owned restaurants, small businesses, amusements etc.; especially those that are considered 'traveler attractions'.😊 By your heading, I expected to find you sharing the beauty of Lancaster, PA.....the heart of Amish Country.
There's a cheap County owned campground on long island about 30 miles from NYC with dump stations etc. Very cheap, it's called Battle Row in Bethpage NY
Well Eric with Lincoln highway rapping up and Halloween just around the corner it might be cool to see maybe a haunted tour. Keep up the great videos. Safe travels.
Glad you made it to my area of Pennsylvania you missed the two breweries that are in Chambersburg but maybe some other time. Was hoping to spot you. Keep doing the different routes. Maybe you should do route11 some time.
another great video of the Lincoln Highway. I love how you did Route 66 in 66 days that was awesome too. you and Jax have a safe trip can't wait to see the Gettysburg video Give Jax a hug for me and a kiss. safe travels and travel on
Hey Eric, since you will be completing your east-west trek soon, maybe consider a north-south journey? US Hwy. 61 goes from the US/Canadian border north of Duluth to New Orleans. Beautiful driving by Lake Superior, lots of history and the ore-loading facilities on the lake. Duluth is also very scenic. Highway 61 also intersects with the Lincoln Highway in Iowa. Just a suggestion.
LOL... orange tulips. Those are called tiger lilies... or as my brother-in-law calls them, "Shit House Lilies." People always seemed to plant them around their outhouses. Great out of the way spots and glad I don't have to dust any of those collections!
Because you can take just a few tubers throw them on the ground and they spread like wildfire. We use them for erosion control once they take root water can't hardly wash them out.
They are daylilies - Hemerocallis. "Ditch lilies" is a nickname for the wild orange ones that grow alongside roads. But these are not wild - they are a domesticated variety (I zoomed in). They also are not tiger lilies, which are a different type of plant altogether.
I have a High School friend who collects Elephants... I am going to share your video on his facebook site.. Another thing I have to ask.. You have your sofa against the back of your driver/passenger seats. Does that make it hard getting to the back? or is it just easier to get out of the cab and walking around to the house door? Wish I could have done this on my Class C.
Sam Elliott stayed at the Cashtown Inn during the filming of Ted Turners production of Gettysburg .... He is said to have drank a bottle of bourbon every nite....I've had a few cocktails in there as well, very kool filming location
Interesting stops, just odd so many places along the route don't have to keep regular hours. Guess they don't have to.... Safe travels. 🙂 Hugs to Jaximus!
Hi Eric, If you come up I 81 through Schuylkill County, PA we are right off exit 116 and need a place to dump your tanks, fill up... we own an old service station so your welcome to park over night if ya like. Love your videos :) Kelly
That was so cool... did you touch that rocking chair cause it was rocking.. Spooky!!! Love the teapot store. I best stay out of there.. elephant glory for someone.. Neat video Eric. thanks
I live near route 30 east in Lancaster Pa hope you travel that way. for a rest stop at the old mill stream campground just behind Dutch wonderland amusement park on route 30
I watched as he passed by that chair and I cannot imagine that he knew...it just seemed he was meant to be there at that time...a little salute to his journey from the great beyond....
Long time watcher. First time commenter. Been waiting for PA. I don’t know if it is just PA but covered bridges are big here. Checking in for Pittsburgh.
Gettysburgs is a fantastic place to see I spent two days looking around the battlefields and the museum. And the cemetery, the whole area is beautifully kept.
Lots of Amish on Route 30 East of Lancaster. Lots of small towns there with horse and Buggies everywhere and Hitching Posts in front of stores. Go there every couple of years for several days and always enjoy it.
For motorcycle straps you need to get the ones made by pro taper. I love those things and are the only thing I strap my bikes down with. And I put on 20,000 miles a year for traveling the country to race.
Love all your stops and that PacMan mug is best thing ever! Also love watching Jax do his kitty calisthenics in the background while your talking to us. I'm curious if you're really going to finish the Lincoln Highway once you get by Philadelphia and into New Jersey. You are not going to enjoy the congestion. (I live in NJ)
i have to say Jax steals the show, how cute him playing in the passenger seat.....such a scene stealer show more of him, he is so adorable....you picked the right pet......
Like #1000!! I love your new mug....koool!! Great Video!! I have always wanted to go to Gettysburg and now I can go with You and Jax!! God Bless and Safe Travels!! ~Deb~
You find the strangest things on your travels. The coolest things are always on your show. I loved the elephants and candy emporium. That was the neatest thing! Good luck with finding a place to park, it can sometimes be very hard even here in the west!
Welcome to eastern PA. I figure you’re around Philadelphia’s Main Line area by now. Probably found the route through that area....line through Wayne PA, Villanova, PA.....and, well, the whole route is a little tight....busy...well, you know. I think the current Lincoln Hwy route is like the 3rd iteration since original. Get stuck behind an Amish buggy going through Lancaster County? I live on one of the old “northern” routes. In fact, I live a block from Old Lincoln Highway. Drive safely and thanks for the content!
Johnah Hex 🤗 Wow, that's pretty cool.👍 Welcome 😃 You will love Eric 🇺🇸and Jax Man 🐾 🐾 Eric 🇺🇸, Alway's goes above and beyond makeing his and Jax Man 🐾 🐾 Veido's.👍 Have a great Day.🤗 🍃🇺🇸🕊️🌎🕊️🍃
Eric! At :50sec. into the vlog on map of the USA you still have to visit two states to complete visiting every state on the lower 48! Do you have any plans to visit these this year? Safe travels to you and Jax from the UK😃🇬🇧
Since you are not far away, come up to Ontario, Canada. Go up to Sudbury to see The Big Nickel Mine. There is also a lot of other things to see in Ontario. Check it out.
LOL - the Elephant Museum reminds me of my former step-mother's house. She was WAY past collecting and seeing hoarding in the rear view mirror. (All the trunks HAD TO BE pointing east -- she was more than a little nuts.) Thanks for another GREAT video. Cheers
Not tulips Eric. Those orange flowers are a type of lily... can't see well enough to tell if they are day lilies or tiger lilies. Also, that was a frog, not a toad. You know these things!!!
Jax playing was too cute!! The Pac Man coffee mug is really cool!!! You'll like Gettysburg, it's a very cool, historical and haunted town! =) Peace out homies Rikki from Pittsburgh
you were about 40 mins from me in westminster md.about 20 mins or so from gettys. there is a state campground called codorus state park in hanover pa i think its arround 10 bucks a night
Wheres the Nebraska insert for the map also I always had my straps a little tighter than you do there I had my front springs fully compressed never had one come loose. That was a Bullfrog. I love the cup.

Love all the things you find on the road and the helpful things you share with us. We hope to hit the road in a couple years.

Thank you for having the guts to show something Confederate. It is history.
Danny Lee
There's a cheap County owned campground on long island about 30 miles from NYC with dump stations etc. Very cheap, it's called Battle Row in Bethpage NY
Well Eric with Lincoln highway rapping up and Halloween just around the corner it might be cool to see maybe a haunted tour. Keep up the great videos. Safe travels.
It started to lighten up almost immediately. Nice cup! I’ve enjoyed seeing the sights you’ve shared.

or the Jefferson Highway
You are the only RV person I really look forward to watching anymore.
LOL... orange tulips. Those are called tiger lilies... or as my brother-in-law calls them, "Shit House Lilies." People always seemed to plant them around their outhouses. Great out of the way spots and glad I don't have to dust any of those collections!
allentown Gal LOL, here in Michigan, we call them ditch lillies because they grow wildly in the ditches along the highways.
Because you can take just a few tubers throw them on the ground and they spread like wildfire. We use them for erosion control once they take root water can't hardly wash them out.
allentown Gal we call them ditch lilies.
Hahaha! Never heard of that nickname but it's spot on.... there were tiger lillies planted around the outhouse of my dad's camp in NW PA.
They are daylilies - Hemerocallis. "Ditch lilies" is a nickname for the wild orange ones that grow alongside roads. But these are not wild - they are a domesticated variety (I zoomed in). They also are not tiger lilies, which are a different type of plant altogether.
A civil war building plaque means that the building was there during the battle of Gettysburg. It always was the Cashtown Inn, never changed names.
Orange Lilies...loving the quirky stuff.
Oh boy can’t wait to see next videos to come
Eric, love your little bit of fun with the rocking chair.
I don't know if you hit the chair on the end but as you walked away it started rocking
The elephant museum was cute. Your new mug -Awesome!
I read the comments and now I can't find it. Loved the comment, "Captain Quirk". So you ;-)
That intro made me smile. Thank you.
They are Tiger Lilies.thanks for sharing your journey..

Craig Charlton I heard Sam Elliot voice for the first time and I started growing a mustache.
Eric is becoming like the Huell Howser of the Nomadic Lifestyle:
th-cam.com/play/PLWu5ajp6Zk8dBKBXLveSPkc0UnhpXrAfD.html
Chair started to rock there

That cracked me up when he walked by the chair.
Eric Sunday and Monday are normally chef days off so a lot of small place may be closed that day if they serve food
I live near route 30 east in Lancaster Pa hope you travel that way. for a rest stop at the old mill stream campground just behind Dutch wonderland amusement park on route 30
Eric...I'm curious....did you notice that rocking chair was rocking as soon as you passed by it at The Cashtown Inn?
I noticed that also.
I believe he did that as a joke lol. It did it right after he talked about it
Lol, you guys are gullible.
So did I, it rocked just as he walked by....creepy!!
I watched as he passed by that chair and I cannot imagine that he knew...it just seemed he was meant to be there at that time...a little salute to his journey from the great beyond....
