Thank you for another great video. Please take care of yourself, you have a ton of us who genuinely care about you and Jax. God bless and safe travels!
Dang Eric! Its okay thats got to be soo frustrating! I love your content and will always love it. You inspire me everyday man! Keep up the footage! You learn from mistakes! Cant wait to meet up with you one of these days!
Eric, the most important thing is you and Jax being safe and happy!! 💙 I live in Kentucky and its been an unusual hot, humid summer! I also suffered from heat exhaustion on Monday!! I enjoyed the video with you narrating! Loved the Last Supper 🙏 Thank you for showing that!! You take care of yourself and Jax!! I feel blessed to be able to travel with you guys on your adventures!! . It's always fun, no matter where you take us!! 😉 Safe Travels and Take Care!! ~Deb~ 💜
I agree Eric it was not chiselled in stone to do every foot of the LH it needs to be a happy time for you and Jax as you are the one feeling the pain just do the best you can. Love the series you are doing thanks for all your hard work giving other pleasure
It's been fun learning and seeing everything along the Lincoln highway. But your health and happiness is far more important than a quest for the next video. Safe travel and stay cool .
We were in Gettysburg a few years back. The temps were 100, and had set up camp at Granite Hill. At one of the Civil War reenactments, my son got overheated. The people walking around in the big dresses and uniforms, were feeling the heatwave too. With those temps, made you see what the soldiers went through during that time.
Sorry you were in bad health from the weather. To bad you couldn't visit Gettysburg in the cooler weather. There's so much more interesting history to see there. I hope you and Jax had a safe trip to a cooler area of the country. God Bless.
Keep yourselves cool & comfortable. There is quirky everywhere and I'm sure you'll find it. Looking forward to your next adventures on the road. Take care Eric.
oh geesh Eric.. you hit PA in one of the worst heat waves we've had. And for me, doing the miles of miles of battlefield in that blaring sun would be a nightmare. It's a shame you've hit it at a bad time. Hope you hit the Poconos/Delaware Gap with beautiful wooded areas, waterfalls and parks.
I'll follow wherever you go! As always, love your video, and we feel better when we hear from you, even when you don't feel well. Go where there's a heat break. Love ya, Lynne
Hi Eric and Jax. My wife and I enjoy your videos, thank you. We live in reeds port Oregon and just purchased our first rv, we are moved in and starting our full time rv life. We have spent some time at a blm camp ground, Smith river falls camp ground. We would love to meet you some day when you come back to the northwest. Thank you again and glad you feel better and give Jax a scratch for us.
Weather is perfect here around the Puget Sound right now. No wildfires. Air is clean and having a window open feels nice. I went out to the North Cove / Tokeland area a week ago. There's a place between Aberdeen and Brady's Oysters where that brackish boggy smell of home hits. Had a few beers, pressure cooked fried chicken and some jo-jos with homemade ranch at The Local Tavern in Grayland. I boondocked out close to Washaway Beach. Best sleep ever.
You go do what you need to for you and Jax...my girls are loving the air inside the house this year, even in MO we are getting the heat...can't deal with it much here either myself. Don't even leave the house much right now. Take care of yourselves and hope you had a wonderful/safe drive to where ever your going. Looking forward to seeing where you are at right now, since know we are a bit behind in time on the videos...Hugs from Dallas and Diva to Jax.
Go someplace cool and dont worry about TH-cam's critics. I've watched you from the beginning. Thank you for letting us ride along. God bless you and keep you safe from all danger and harm.
Do whatever you have to do to stay well and happy. I for one am in under the air conditioner and will be for the next couple of months. I was born and raised in Seattle, of parents from northern Minnesota and a descendant of Norwegians. It is in my genes to need cooler climates. However 50 years ago I married a cute airman from Joplin, Mo and in 1970 we ended up here in his home town. I never have gotten acclimatized to this heat and humidity! I just thank the good Lord for air conditioners! You and Jax are always fun to follow no matter where you travel.
I'm glad your moving on for your safety. Have to love that you can just turn the key and drive to cooler temps. You are a pro and things like the sound not working are all ok with your true fans. keep on keeping on it's all good Eric. I can't wait to see what's next.
I live in upstate New York. The past few summers have been exceedingly warm. It never used to be this warm on such a prolonged basis. I'm sorry you had to experience such uncomfortable conditions. Stay cool and give Jax some loving from all his fans.
Eric what is important is the health of you and Jax. Do what you need to do to be safe and healthy. What is important to your loyal viewers is the 'journeys continue.
It's completely understandable! I'm NOT a heat person either. When you consider your heritage, and the fact that it's overwhelmingly hot, and Washington not so much, it's very hard to acclimate. Sometimes conditions cause you to alter your plans and weather is outside of our control. Stay cool, and safe travels.
Whoa! 119 degrees. I didn't think it ever got that hot anywhere except Death Valley or hell! I'm Canadian and I can't imagine heat like that. Be well, Eric. I enjoyed the voice over. The video quality was fantastic.
Any of our larger cities see temps like that in summer: asphalt & concrete for miles around, with very few open grassy/earthy places with trees means your city never cools all the way down at night, and very little shade doesn't help the populace either.
Hey Eric & Jax, Eric I'm glad you are okay!! I had the same experience 2 wks ago.. not fun. I am in NW TN and it is hot and humid; so I tend to stay in and watch YOUR videos!!! Stay cool brother, and do what good for you and Jax!!!
We’re with you, Eric. We’re chasing that 70 degree temperature ourselves. We are loving Maine! Although it has been warm it’s better than Pennsylvania! Hope you enjoy some great weather up here!
Good for you...get out, enjoy life and chase some cooler weather! I for one will follow your videos no matter where you go. Can't wait to see where you end up next! cheers
I am from upper Northwestern PA and I do not blame you for skipping things. Hope you get to feeling better. I know the heat kills me here. The humidity here is bad! Will be praying for both you and Jax.
Where water goes, salt goes! Remember to eat something salty when you are drinking lots of water. I just bought a Class C this week and am in Dallas. OMG! So hot! Thanks for all of your posts! Very helpful!
Eric you take care of you what ever you need to do, do it for your own health and happiness. That was scary. Thank God you had no heat stroke, that was a great video as usual even if audio was off. Thanks for explain what you did in the town. It is 110 today here in DFW area. Thank God for air-conditioning. Safe travels.
Sorry for the grammar errors and misspelled words. The phone computer keeps changing words and spelling for me. I wish you could turn off the automatic features. I am an excellent speller and was a teacher for years and I can do my own grammar and proofreading, but these comments don't seem to allow for it. Say "Hi" to Jax and have a safe trip !
You can turn off (auto correct) in settings on the phone. First thing I did when I bought mine. iPhone, Settings, General, Keyboard, autocorrect ,,,off.
I’m happy to hear that you’re ok...you did amazing going out in that heat and doing a video to share with us. I know I sure wouldn’t be out there in that temperature. Please be careful we all care about you and Jax...always put you and Jax first. If you don’t see all that you want to right now you can always go back when the weather is cooler...safe journey get out of there go somewhere cooler...finish Lincoln Hwy later 😊 Hugs 🤗
So understand. The heat and humidity are horrible. I don’t care if some say they are use to it. It’s been bad in California this year. And you and Jax need to enjoy for us to enjoy. So glad you’re feeling better.
I work at Gettysburg Hospital! Haha that's so weird to hear about them in a video. Glad you're feeling better. It was definitely super hot for a few weeks up here. You'll be glad to know that it is 63 degrees and raining today. Keep up the awesome videos Eric!
Be careful with the heat, if you have high blood pressure. I had the same problem last summer, I was drinking bottled water a lot. I ended up throwing up with chest pain. I really thought I was having a heart attack. Beet juice is gross but fantastic for hbp and hawthorn is great for heart health. You can get both at Whole Foods.
I agree 100% it has been very difficult with the high temps plus dealing with the humidity here. You did the right thing packing up for cooler temps. I stop at that Walmart in Hanover every other weekend while visiting my daughter's family in Spring Grove, Pa. Damn wish I would have seen your RV
... ya got the right idea Eric.. we'd join ya if we could ; )... here's a little unsolicited advice.. during the summer, here in texas, i sprinkle a LITTLE 'sea salt' on everything that i eat & drink, cuz i don't like muscle cramps either ; ) we want you & Jax to Be Safe & Happy.
Pink Himalayan salt Eric. Has lots of minerals and is wayyy better for you than table salt. Can be found at health food stores, Amazon etc. very easily. I have some every day. Good stuff.. :) Lots of TH-cam videos on how to's as well...
Eric has in this video once again explained the unique RV life. That's what it is about. You can pick up and head to where you want. Cooler weather for sure. I'm on your side Eric! As I like to say " Have keys will travel!"
My favorite time driving was always the early morning hours. Starting out about 2am. No traffic, cool outside, and watching the early dawn! I miss my truck driving days.
We rolled through there a few weeks ago. We stayed at Gettysburg Campground and it was very nice. We also drive through there in our 43' RV and towing a car. It was very tight, but we made it. We also enjoyed the visitor center, and the Auto Tour route was the way to go. It was crazy hot!
Eric, heat exhaustion is no joke. I went to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio, I was riding water rides & in between rides, just walking in the heat, I got heat exhaustion and had several throw up episodes! Thought I was dying, so I know how ya feel. Please be careful, if the heat index is up where you're at, DON'T go out in the heat. We can see some the sights some other time, when the place your visiting isn't on fire! Your health and safety as well as Jax's is the most important. Safe travels and thanks for sharing all your adventures :) Hugs to you and Jax.
Ramble on Eric. I'm with you because you're not held to conformity. It's also cool that you openly show your decision process. Btw i love the way you work through all those glitches.
You're absolutely right, Eric. For the folks who aren't on the East coast (Southeastern Virginia here, right on the Atlantic) we've been *BAKING* in the heatwave for quite some time! Even when it's 5 o'clock (time to go home) the car thermometer is still over 100F, 38C! Just...WOW! But as I write this, it's raining *HARD* ...so it's only 73 degrees. MUCH cooler, a welcome relief!
It's nice to hear about what's going on in the RV outside of filming attractions. I hope you come through Lancaster. I have been waiting for years for you to do so. It sucks to see you headed straight through my county just to stop right before you hit it. PA is ridiculous with the heat. We went to Florida and came back to hotter weather up here back in March. Do what you need to do. Safe travels.
I was just there in June and we drove around the ground we were very humbled, by all of the history around us. Everyone one was very quite and very respectful. And it was is the high 90’s too, “having a heat wave “. Come back in the fall and see all the rich history and it will be a bit cooler. Safe travels.✌️
I'm sorry that you had the glitches with audio and the heat . Your buddy is right about the weather here in Florida . We have had a wet pattern for a while now and not really ex stream heat . Have been following others channels and seen them struggle with it . Glad you are feeling better . Give Jax a belly scratch for me and we'll see you soon
The salt thing is real. Hiking the Grand Canyon they advised bringing salty snacks and lots of water. The whole family stayed hydrated but we felt sick to our stomachs. The last thing you wanted to do is eat. I remembered the advice we got and forced myself to eat a handful of salty chips. Almost instantly I felt better. I force fed them to my family and then started feeding the people around me. We all felt so much better. Life lesson learned. I'm in New York state by Lake Ontario and it's only mid 80s. The humidity is awful. Stay inside or in the pool. In our camper I keep a blow up pool for the dogs, cat and the family. Putting your feet in a bucket if cool water helps, too. :) stay safe!
I hoped you would Gettysburg. I used to drive a truck through that area. The Rutters stores are often a haven for Trucks and RV's and yes the east is way too humid for me. Good for you.
Good decision Eric, I was out kayaking a couple weeks ago and I had hat on but, I suffered from heat exhaustion...dizziness, vision blurred (like 10,000 bright lights) in your eyes. Got back to shore and after a bit I came around. You and Jax stay safe!
Hey Eric do what you got to do dude. I'm a firm believer and if you're not feeling well it's not worth it. Get lots of rest get to a cooler place and take care of that Jax! I would have hightailed it out of there when I woke up in the heat was bad. So no worries just be happy. And do whatever it takes to get happy. Love your vids
I'm glad you're alright you have dealt enough with heat on the Lincoln highway. It's been fun and interesting but definitely not worth getting sick over. Happy Trails and Cooler Temps :)
I'm here in Maryland and the heat and humidity is very bad right now. I am glad that you are safe and now feeling better. I pretty much hibernate inside all summer long now because the heat makes me sick also. Stay cool and safe out there!
Golly, Eric, I’m so sorry you got ill but it’s good your body signaled you before it became more serious. I hope you and Jax can drive to a cooler area. I live on the coast of So California and it’s been sweltering here too but nothing like what you’re dealing with. Take care and safe travels.
Hey Eric. There have been several deaths in the US and Canada this year due to the heat wave we are all going through. Keep yourself and Jax safe and stay inside during the heat of the day.
I feel your pain on the heat . I used to fish the desert lakes and ride motorcycle across deserts . I always took all sorts of precautions and rarely had any problems . This year in western Washington on the third and over half the fourth I was trying to finish up a bunch of work on my pond and landscaping because we were having neighbors over for BBQ and drinks . I skipped lunch and drank plenty of water that day . But I did not notice I had stopped sweating late in the afternoon . Woke up in middle of the night shivering with a fever . Over the next few days I had muscle pain with cramps spread across my body . Figured out on the fifth I was low on sodium . At work in the seventies we had salt dispensers , often took 2-3 a day in hot muggy weather . If not you may just fall down . Western WA. is heading into another round of upper 80s , low 90s with hardly any onshore flows for many days . Stay cool .
Glad you are okay from the heat. It takes people with true grit to live in this part of the country with the humidity. But it is 73 degrees in Gettysburg now! Just bad timing, safe travels.
Hi,One good thing to know is that you have enough to common sense to take care of yourself and Jack! Also that as read this if you read this from you own testimony of your video delays that your no longer having problems with the heat ! Keep up the Good Work You are appreciated and I enjoy your videos and all the hard work that goes into making them! One thing that should keep you going is to remember you not alone many people are praying for you and care for your success !
The east has brutal heat. I personally think it's due to all the blacktop. I am sorry you were ill. But thank you for sharing the fact of different types if heat exhaustion. It may help others.
I believe the heat/humidity in east Pa comes across from the corn belt in the midwest. As soon as they harvest that corn, the nasty heat/humidity cease.
That is the problem where you keep losing salt's and only replace them with water so the cell functions that need salt start to break down. Salt pills are a good emergency solution as you can get a pill case for a key chain to store 1-2 of them to take with all that water when you are away from the RV. Salty foods like instant Ramen are a good way to restock. Depending on how bad it is you can also go with the ramen noodles prepared with the spice pack then drained of the broth off to use the noodles in something like spaghetti for a good salt amount but not like drinking salt water. Salt is a funny thing when you look into it as the link between high blood pressure and salt was based off 2 badly done studies that have since been thrown out. One gave lab rats a 20 times lethal dose of salt and recorded what it did to them and the other just looked at salt intake and average age of the populations without looking at what they ate or how much.
glad you are not sick and feeling better but just think like in the 60's and 70's before air conditioning how it would feel i spent my childhood with temps liike that and heat indexs even higher good luck and keep posting
Eric! I was so looking forward to you touring the Gettysburg battlefield in your RV! I did this 2 years ago in my 32' Class C in the hot summer as well and loved it! So if you ever go back, MAKE SURE you watch the video and see the Cyclorama in the Visitors Center. The Cyclorama is a 360 degree view and tour of the battlefield as it looked from the hill during the battle. It immerses you into the battle and explains everything. Then buy the CD audio tour in the gift shop and drive through the battlefield in your RV! We did this and turned the 2 hour tour into 6 hours by stopping at each stop and experiencing each skirmish. This way you stay cool and just get out briefly at each stop. There are multiple lookout points that would make great video. PLEASE go back and do it again. You need a do over!
Hope you got the heck out of the there. I am in AZ, it is going to be 114 on Monday, not heat index....actual temp. So, I feel ya. Glad you weren’t seriously ill. Heat is no joke, man.
up by dallas was 109 today, but only 20 percent humidity...hod but we were out all day it was awsome, i'm from tampa florida were it is in the upper 80's but 75 puls humidity and it sucks!!!!... gotto watch the humidity it changes everything.....good luck in your travels............. a loyal subscriber!!!!!!
It's good that you had sense enough to check in at the hospital instead of trying to tough it out in the RV. You are right to get out of that hellhole and head for a cooler place. We visited Gettysburg in perfect weather, and had a memorable experience, but you just weren't that lucky. Sorry about your bad luck with the new camera too.
We appreciate all your efforts Eric, the world's a better place with you in it and you're always fun to watch. Stay well. :)
Thank you for another great video.
Please take care of yourself, you have a ton of us who genuinely care about you and Jax.
God bless and safe travels!
Take care of you and Jax!!! Don't worry about the schedule. We want you healthy and strong. Keep cool!
Be safe Eric. I’m still watching no matter where you go. 👍🏻
You and Jax are the most important, please take care and we'll see you when we see you where ever you are~
Go where you feel happy and comfortable Eric. That's the whole point of living the RV Nomad life. Safe travels to you and Jax.

Enjoyed your vid Eric. Looking forward to seeing where you end up at after 7-8 hrs of driving. Safe Travels my friend.
For the future, if you are sweating, it's not heat stroke. Best to stay indoors between 10 am till 3 pm when it's really hot and humid.
enjoy your travels videos... always interesting

Eric if it is in the budget you might consider a 1500 btu AC with heat strip for back up if low on propane.
Hi Eric and Jax.

Eric, that's why athletes drink Gatorade, it's electrolytes, salt, and water. In extreme heat, you need more than water. Stay safe.
Gatorade has one drawback: it contains too much sugar!
Yes, it is what we gave to folks as part of emergency 1st Aid in heat. Ok in a pitch, but too much sugar for regular use.
Phatman 46 🙂 Dr. Said 1/2 Water and 1/2 Gatorade. Not so much sugar.🙄 Thank you for sharing.👍 Have a great Day.🤗
🍃🇺🇸🕊️🌎🕊️🍃
Phatman 46 Gatorade G2 has half the sugar.
A generous pinch of sea salt (which contains minerals) in a bottle of water will do wonders without the sugar or expense of Gatorade.
Keep you and Jax safe- don't listen to anyone but you! We appreciate everything you do regardless :)
Your health is the most important thing. Take care of yourself and Jax. Go where you need to go to be healthy and comfortable.

Weather in Maine is very comfortable.
I don't blame you. I live here in NE Ohio and this heat is terrible. Makes me look forward to some snow.
I've been watching you for about 8 months now, and this is the first video where you were somewhere I have actually been - Some dude from MD
Wise decision- your health is more important than anything else. Take care and safe travels!
Relax! We're gonna hang with you no matter what you do!!
Good decision Eric, I was out kayaking a couple weeks ago and I had hat on but, I suffered from heat exhaustion...dizziness, vision blurred (like 10,000 bright lights) in your eyes. Got back to shore and after a bit I came around. You and Jax stay safe!
I'm sure sorry you got sick, but I enjoyed the video...even with the narration. Please take care of yourself and Jax. Blessings, cT
The extreme heat is nothing to mess with. Take caution and yes, head further north for some relief. Take care and safe travels🇺🇸👍
The narration was fine. No problem. Electrolyte imbalances can be scary stuff! Glad you went to the ER and feeling better.
I don't blame you at all Eric!
I'm glad you feel better now.
glad you are not sick and feeling better but just think like in the 60's and 70's before air conditioning how it would feel i spent my childhood with temps liike that and heat indexs even higher good luck and keep posting
That's ok Eric you have the right to change your route or your mind.
