Love seeing that other plane land while flying, and I love flying through these clouds and some rain. Love the view outside these windows. Beautiful and amazing skies and landscape. The B717's are a great aircraft. For an older aircraft, it's beautiful inside and out. I love the outside plane spotting in the beginning and at the end of this video. Hearing those engines start up was awesome. Awesome takeoff and landing that sounds amazing. Great Airline and amazing pilots. It was a joy to listen and watch these pilots as they go over everything, communicating with the passengers, and communicating with ATC. Love the different camera positions as well. From the outside plane spotting to inside the cockpit, you get to see everything from both sides. Overall, it's an awesome video and I love it.

Blue1 was a nice airline, however the few times i flew with it, i have never seen any crew member smile… i always wondered why.

Sadly airlines retire this reliable t-tail even though the demand for smaller jets is high. Marks the end of the MD series..

They came with there problems though.
I've heard through the grape vine that these are or will be soon in high demand. Also hear that there may be an electric version or hybrid soon to come that resembles this style platform

The DC-9 platform was the most reliable and durable of any of its peers, both past and contemporary.

Airlines didn't know what they were missing out on. When the 717 was in production only a few airlines were interested and they were mostly low-cost carriers. Production only lasted from 1999-2006. Now all these years later major carriers like Delta have made them useful. If the major airlines of the world hadn't been so quick to turn their noses up the 717 may have seen several more years of production including a stretched -300 variant.
