    What a fantastic video 👌🏼
    I've been a fan of Huberman since I first heard him on JRE and alongside Matthew Walker, love the science based approach to holistic living.
    I've had a mad few months with work and let things slip, seeing your video reminded me that it just takes a little planning and it's completely possible. Also your way of evaluating how effective these protocols are for you and not being afraid to move them around your day or even remove some is a GREAT nod to not trying to seek perfection, simply optimization. Thank you for this, liked - subscribed and now commented 👍🏼 let's go get 2023 💪🏼💯

      Thanks a lot, Craig!
      The reminder to implement what works best for you is one of the things I really admire about Huberman. It’s a tough balance sometimes with work and keeping dedicated to your body routine. I often fall into the same patterns, as well. You said it best though, not trying to seek perfection is the key!
      Let’s get it! 💪🏼

    Loved the video and I'm definitely going to try this! Interested, as a work from home Accountant that needs to work 8 hours a day, how many hours of active work were you able to achieve with the 90 minute deep work slots and large breaks? Thanks

      Thanks a lot!
      Great question. When I started at 8am, I went through 2 deep work sessions to be finished by noon. Took some time off for lunch and picked back up for another 2 deep work sessions at 1pm to wrap up by 4:30.
      I noticed my productivity skyrocketed just because I set a time frame around work with built in rest. Give it a try, I’m hoping it’ll work well with your schedule as well.

    Nick, what kind of activities did you do during the 30 minutes after the 90 minutes deep work?

    • @NickTShelton
      @NickTShelton  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Cristhian!
      During the 30 minutes of idle time after deep work I was pretty flexible.
      A couple days I would go make cup of tea or grab something to drink and just sit outside for some sunlight. On a couple days I did some stretching and played with my dogs.
      The main idea for the idle time is to let your mind wander without tying it down to a specific task. I like to think of it similarly to lifting weights. If your brain is your muscle and you just did a taxing set, give it a rest and take a break. You’ll be surprised by just letting your mind relax, no phone, no stimulation, you feel recovered rather quickly and have energy for another round of deep work.

    I’m glad you did this breakdown because although I love what he’s about, I can’t fkin stand listening to AH.

      Haha, I appreciate ya. Yeah, it took me a few listens last summer to get used to his style. I wasn’t a big fan of the technical terms but the more I listened to him, it actually grew on me.
