- This is an update to my previous LOT8s compilation from 2016. I used some of the same clips from the 2016 project file on Sony Vegas. I added and switched out some intros from some of the timeframes covered.

I vaguely remember when the logo switched in 2005 I was just a little kid but I loved watching the weather channel.
0:44 That blue screen with the old logo and that SOUND at the end of it is forever seared into my childhood memory of having TWC on in the background for HOURS while I would be playing with my Barbies and Legos.
2003-05 Live by It intros are my favorites.

1998-2001 are the ones I remember. Then the windchimes, the weathervane, and after September 11 ones I remember the most as well. Good ol days.

I love these intros @ 2:20 and 2:52 the most. Those wind chimes made me get into meditation. I'm not sure when each intro exactly started either, but I know it first aired on a specified year. I'll post some timestamps later on another comment so you can pin that.

Hey, you need to know who to blame? I believe IBM bought the original providing company, and then everything from it was sold off to who has it now.
I say put the entertainment and whatever "messages" on a separate channel, and keep the weather as intended.
If there's patient times and they can stand to put on something like Weather Gone Viral or related, then those can be put on in the late hours. If severe things and emergencies rear their heads, then interrupt the broadcast to go live with the warnings. I think we can make do with a hybrid WeatherSTAR feel on a new iteration of the hardware for people to use at scale. Say, make it possible to use digital or analog alike with a neo-WeatherSTAR that is cost-effective.
