I am reorganizing my wardrobe *at the moment*, I've heard of TH-cam channels that do polls to find out what their viewers want but this is just a whole new level of channel dedication. I believe I speak for most of us fans when I say that the content of The Gentleman's Gazette is a medium against which us men can turn to when we're confused with what belt to choose or even what to wear to a funeral and one that most channels should look up to in terms of production quality, scripting and general knowledge in their field. Thank you. I have something called Aspbergers Syndrome which means that I typically find most activities involving the organization or social skills to be of greater difficulty than most individuals. Through content you've produced like 'How to accept a compliment like a gentleman', your guides on 'is it worth it' and a multitude of other items I have been able to upgrade my style and shed that awkward and unprepared personality I used to have. I do indeed hope you are having a delightful lockdown period and a great day! -Carl
This is a very distinguished comment you've made here and I agree with your points that have been made. I too have aspergers syndrome and it was nice to here that i'm not the only one who watches this, -Samuel
Before I found this channel I was almost ready to give up on menswear since in the mainstream it seems to be all t shirts and low rise jeans with nothing interesting. I was already interested in vintage and classic styles, so anytime I see a new video it’s very exciting. I recently bought a pair of grey trousers with black pinstripes from the 1930s (my first vintage item!) that I hope to find a way to style with help from your channel :)
Putting my off-season clothes away has been a game-changer for me. Can't say I agree with you on ironing. I hate it and life is too short to be ironing loads of shirts and trousers. I tend to iron one or two the night before I think I'm going to wear them. I think I would lose the will to live if I had to do them all. I've always thought that if the circumstances were right I would pay someone to do our ironing!
I need a bedroom sized walk-in closet. I didn't realize how much my wardrobe has grown in such a relatively short time span, thanks to Gentleman's gazette and other similar channels. I think I may be at the point of considering donating some of my less used garments and shoes as I really don't have enough space for them all. I have a combination of purchased new, used and inherited garments and footwear that have brought me much satisfaction and have entirely changed my personal dress style and my perception of fashion in a positive way. Thank You Sven for your positive influence.
03:40 I agree. If you buy something pricy that you think will be a great addition, like an overcoat, a MTM/Bespoke suit, or that 150$ tie that seemed too expensive, write down your experience, how you felt that day or that moment. Also write the kind of outfits you believe the items will fit nicely with.
Sven already has different videos on fit, colors, accessory types, and many others. Sven, Kyle, and Presten have made videos on using style ideas from historical figures. His channel hasn't just consolidated all the videos into one digestible video. If you want a slightly more modern idea of capsule wardrobe ideas look at Real Men Real Style too.
In terms of making new combinations and remembering them, I recommend taking pictures of completed outfits (including shoes) with your phone so you have a collection of clothing sets on hand whenever you need some inspiration.
6:00 didn't look like a morning guy on a rush, just some one with an urge to go to the men's room ;) Kinding you of course, many thanks for the useful tips, very appropriate for the period we have to go through
Wow!! You guys always make a video I didn't think I needed in my life until I watched it. Within the first 4 and a half minutes I already feel more enlightened on how to fix my wardrobe problems. Just recently I separated clothes I never wear. It turns out there were more clothes I don't wear than I do wear. I need to go through my wardrobe like you said and make a list on why I do and don't wear the things in my wardrobe. GENIUS! So simple and obvious, but something I never thought to do. I just moved apartment and still have to put my clothing away, so while I organize them I will be doing following these steps! Thank you
I would be very interested in a video about the music the three gentlemen like to hear, especially Prestons, and the movies you like to watch (I know Raphael released a video about movies but he pointed out how boring he found them and it was mainly about the dressing style of the actors)
Can you do a video on the topic of what you should wear In the area you live in and the classic style, along with climate? Thanks and good wills from Ellis
Have you thought to make a video around the men's valet? Like the stand to hang clothes on? Not sure if you have any ideas for a video about that, but I recently bought one.
Corpsie Corpsie the reason is that they stretch if you hang them meaning they’re too long when you put them on. It can also mean the V-neck will stretch sideways down the hangar I’ve ruined far too many jumpers doing this :(
Maybe It was but I couldn't find. It would be very interesting to take a look into your personal wardrobe or closet and learn how to organise storage system for clothes and shoes. If it is not so much personal
I’ve come up with a video you could consider, etiquette of smoking. I recently watched the old 007 films and thought there was perhaps an elegant way of smoking. I understand that smoking is bad for you and is dying out recently but as a smoker I would like to learn how to smoke like a gentleman. Best regards
I buy just about everything on sale. I know when the high end stores like brooks bros have seasonal sales. My mother, who worked in retail, used to say only suckers pay full retail. How do you think the rich got that way?
I wonder, do y'all recommend leaving plastic covers on your clothes. For example, like those that are given from a tailor to travel with garments home, or even from a dry cleaner? Is that recommended or not? Particuarly, I am thinking of moths 😳
Are you loosing a bit of weight recently, Raphael? I feel some of your jackets and seaters are now a bit loose in the neck area. Hope you are in good health.
My problem is....I'm having trouble with (defining/being content-comfortable with, etc.) my personal style. After 62 years you would think I would have it figured out...but not.
I honestly think you need a massive wardrobe clear out. Get rid of a lot of those ostentatious vintage coats, waistcoats and v-neck jumpers. These are some of your stylistic weaknesses in my opinion. The cool, simple look you have at 4:56 is what you should be looking for. It makes you look 10 years younger, 10 times fresher and better. If you used this as a template for your wardrobe going forward, you would be doing yourself a huge favour.
Nothing is more welcome than a new video from Sven.

How are you nowadays?
So glad you guys are still putting out quality content. It helps me keep my sanity. Thank you.
I’m a woman and I follow your videos. They are informative and created with care. QQ: what’s the clothing brush you use / recommend?
I also have a brush from Kent, the CP6 Real Bristle Cashmere Care. This one is softer and also great for delicate materials.
So few menswear gurus ever talk about value or price - it's refreshing to hear it.
I really love the fact that if SRS says something is in-depth, it truly is.
This is kismet, I am going through my closets and am putting away my winter items, cleaning, and designating a garment for either donation or repair.
My 11 year old son loves your channel and he loves suits.
12. Get shoe trees. Even the (very) cheap plastic ones from Ikea are better than nothing
Bob Mob Yes!!! Hahaha. Shoe trees are great!
Stuff some rolled up newspaper in your shoes...
Thank you for the tutorial, I'm a girl but I love your videos, i think it helped me learn a thing or two to improve my daily living. Keep safe sir/s.

No Sven don’t hang your knit vests :((( that’s breaking the cardinal rule of knitwear

Just bought some $98 leather Chukkas that were originally $200, new summer boots. 😉
Where can I get a high quality clothes brush?
I literally am only here for sven. This is the only valid man.

Oh I'd love to dress more like that. But with two small children at home, I find myself mostly in t-shirts and sweatpants. Sigh...
But then you’re over washing a suit just to have it worn for no reason, or vomited on unnecessarily.
Very nice shoe collection, Sven. But I was surprised to see that teach pair didn't have its own shoe tree. You know better than that! ;)
I got a Brooks Btother tennis shirt just like that one

Gentleman watches
Gentleman cars
Pocket watch and a model A Ford
Mr. Rogers style guide

You can also flush your sweatpants down the toilet. I just did (I cut 'em up into myriad pieces first).
This video cannot help me. To improve my wardrobe I should do many more things than just 11.
Sven is a Schwabe for sure.
Please improve your content, your earlier videos were more useful and meaningful, nowadays it has become repetitive and somewhat dragging a topic.
I guess it's hard to keep coming up with new ideas so us long time viewers are going to notice similarities between videos
