    Thank you, but it would be better if you can give more details about these rules

      Hello both!
      There are other videos with more details on these 6 basic design rules. The idea is, to set these rules up correctly at the beginning, and after that start placing the components and finally route.
      For example you can check also on Würth Electronik's site basic design rules at the following link:
      www.we-online.com/web/en/index.php/show/media/04_leiterplatte/2017_2/dg_poster_2/170119_WE_DesignGuide_Basic_Poster_EN_web.pdf
      www.we-online.com/web/en/leiterplatten/produkte_/ein-_und_doppelseitige_leiterplatten/Ein-_und_doppelseitige_LPs.php
      These guys have many posters, I've asked for 1 of each, they sent me 3 for free (as it says there) - it's really good to have some basic design rules on your wall.
      I hope this helps :)

    Please learn from Robert Feranen on how to create tutorials. This video has not really explained the subject. No one knows what values to set for those rules and how those values are arrived at.

  • @sebastienvaillancourt9399

    this is way too abstract and theoretical, how about giving examples? none of the rules are explained in concrete terms

    • @AltiumAcademy
      @AltiumAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This video is meant to be for beginners and is more theoretical as you mentioned. This webinar covers practical examples in Altium Designer: resources.altium.com/webinars/understanding-rules-and-constraints

      @@AltiumAcademy it's not for beginners since nothing is being explained, only big words thrown at you without explanations. what do all those words mean?
