  • Comparing Kioti CK4010se hst cab and DK4210se hst cab tractors is the task today. Be sure to checkout the link to the spreadsheet I"ll be showing in this video below. If you're watching this video you're probably going through what many of us out there have gone through before, the challenge of pin-pointing the right compact utility tractor for you. There's a lot of options out there and if you've narrowed down your tractor search to Kioti, you've made the same initial decision I did when I bought my Kioti tractor. In this video I'll help point out the key differences and similarities between the CK4010se hst cab and DK4210se hst cab tractors so that your job of picking the right one for you is made a bit easier. Whichever model of compact utility tractor you choose, you can rest assured knowing that you'll love it and wonder how you went this long without one.

    I have a DK4210SE CAB. Love it. 29PTO HP doesn't seem to be a problem with my 74inch snowblower. I have snowblowed over a foot of wet heavy snow without issue. That is with wipers, heater, defrost and everything running. When you look at both on the lot you will see the DK is different beast structurally to the CK. It has huge loader braces and gussets that run down the length of the tractor and ties into the rear axle. If one is worried about PTO hp they can upgrade to 4710SE and that includes a turbo. the DK4210SE comes with Flip up PTO cover, Front and rear work lights, standard.The website has some inaccuracies. When i priced out both tractors with addition to adding linked pedal, 2nd set of remotes, and rear wiper to the DK and keeping the CK3510 stock it was only 1800$ US difference. Id imagine the CK4010 would be the same price. I went with the DK because of loader capacity, weight, and structural build quality like the frame/loader reinforcements. My DK fits in my 8 ft tall garage door.

    In my opinion… The advantage of the DK series is not the apples to apples 42hp to 42hp comparison of DK to CK… it’s that the DK series goes up to 57hp.
    If you are looking at the DK series you should consider purchasing the higher hp model… the DK6010se hst cab.
    If you only need or want 42 hp… you should go with the CK.
    The advantage of the DK series is not in its lower hp models. My $0.02.
    😂😂😂
    That said… very in-depth comparison of these two tractors that is well presented.

    Great comp..thanks so much. I have the DK4210SE. Great to have the stats on it right there up front, thanks so much. I do not have a cab cause I live in Alabama and don’t even have winters compared to you guys. My decision for Kioti came down to hydraulics. So much better than Kubota or JD. great tractor. God bless.

    What's important to me today is: Hydraulic pump flow (goes to DK) vs standard equipment (goes to CK). PTO power (goes to CK). Thanks for the work you did on this. Good analysis.

    Thanks again Sandy for an excellent comparison. Just finalizing a deal so this could not have come at a better time. Greatly appreciated. I'm really surprised that the CK4010 has a better PTO HP than the DK

    Hey Sandy! Really great comparison here, yes DK would be the way I would go or potentially an NX series, I like the website comparison tool! It’s to bad that their website doesn’t show the MSRP though! Great video an appreciated this run through! Andrew from NB :)

    I enjoyed you comments regarding the Kioti. I bought my DK4010SE in Sep 2013, with a KS72 front mount snow blower driven from mid PTO. It has about 500 hours on it now. My 6400 John Deere ( 100hp), does all the heavy work but the Kioti is a good companion to the JD. I share your general feelings about the Kioti being a reliable tractor. Your description of the cab rear work light having broken the roof panel made me laugh. I broke mine by baking of of the barn with the OH door not fully up. I opted for a new roof panel - it cost a lot of money even though I replaced it myself.
    The snow blower has been somewhat troublesome. It is generally well made but Norman needs to use heavier gauge metal on the chute. The first two were too thin. When the second one failed I had it reinforced with a 10ga plate on the inside of the chute. It has lasted for over 6 years. Thanks for your interesting presentations!

      Greta to hear about your experiences with the Kioti and front mount snowblower. I’ve always wondered about a front mount blower. I’d be interested in seeing a picture of how your snowblower mounts to your tractor if you have a chance sometime sawingwithsandy@gmail.com

    On another note, i was thinking about your tractor counter weight and that you didn't cast a ball hitch receiver into it while you poured the concrete. You can still have a hitch, just drill and fit those expanding bolts into the back and weld up a fitting to mount to it.

    Hi Sandy- this is wonderful-- and shows a ton of work to assemble. I visited a Kioto store to have my JD TLB tires loaded and was so impressed with Kioti DK series. I'm finding in my 3033R that the tractor with backhoe is very tippy on any kind of hill, to the point I no longer enjoy it. One comp I'm looking at is the width of the outside of the rear tires (as it effects my stability concern). I found that difference of 70 inches versus 55. I'm pondering a change, even with the financial hit involved. How have you found the tractor on hilly terrain? It would be good if the manufacturers of these machines published a 'footprint' metric so we could compare without visiting and measuring.

    • @sawingwithsandy
      @sawingwithsandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The width is good and I do have a lot of hills. I’ve note found it to be too much of an issue. I am still impressed with the DK to this day

    Great video. I can't believe the CK doesn't come with a rear 3 point hitch lever especially with a cab. What a pain in the ass it would be getting in and out trying to line up the hitch. You didn't mention pricing would you mind sharing the prices? Thank you!

    your DK45SE has nearly 2700lbs of FEL lift... its huge for that "little" tractor. I wouldn't change your DK for a DK4210SE, not worth it in my opinion. the only upgrade in the kioti lineup in your size tractor is in the NX series (lot more equipments like auto throttle, rear window defogger, etc...). I also have a DK45SE and i've gone through them several time and the only one I would buy to change my DK45SE is the RX7320 with the hydro shuttle. not an HST trans... but hell a lot of tractor (the cab interior is a lot more user friendly, the 3pts handle, the Aux handles, etc..). I would like a 7000+ # tractor for more stability and of course a little more PTO HP because my 72" snowblower + 2 feet of snow = my tractor on turtle mode lol

    • @FamilyManMoving
      @FamilyManMoving 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I chose the RX7320 over the NX series for about the same reasons you have in mind: heavier weight and a larger cab better situated for my ride-a-long partner (9 year old son). There is no HST option in the larger tractors, but the powershuttle is a huge step up from my old manual gearbox. We just took delivery and I have less than two owner hours on it, so I cannot give an in-depth review. So far we like it. The only downside is the size if you are in the woods a lot, like us. My brother has a DK45SE from a few years back and loves it. More nimble in the woods than the RX, for sure. If it hadn't been for the fact the dealer priced the RX cheaper than the NX (municipal order that fell through and it sat on the lot for a year) I would have gone with the DK or NX and been happy, too.

    I'm looking at the Ck line and cant determine what model to get. I will brush hog, use box blade and pick up stuff with loader. Is it best to get the bigger model or the ck26 to avoid the emission regen junk.

      @@sawingwithsandy It's probably due to the high flow rate hydraulics. That pump likely takes more engine power to operate.
