Like what's the point of advertising them on the back of the game's boxart if they're not permanent abilities. Also there's a spank move that does jack, but is advertise as a move. The game really had low sales because it was simply unappealing with its overly silly and nonsensical atmosphere that didn't mesh well with audiences during an era where serious and all action games were all the rage. The game has a very good art style, god tier soundtrack, good gameplay, very nice environments ( i Love the fact that we have different biomes, idk why but it make the game 10000000 times better). The titans were fun, the characters were fun aswell, the cutscenes were soo much fun. It is a solid 8/10, one of the best in the series in my opinion
Crash Mind over Mutant, L4D1, L4D2, Gta Sa and Gta V are games of my childhood, they are just so nostalgic to mee 🤤🤤 i still can remember playing crash on my ps2 and those cubes every time you enter ps2 are also so nostalgic jesus 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Same for me, I was born with this game and I remember I enjoyed so much also the multi-player, the fact that you could have fun destroying you friend or dad (funny fact: in Italian I used to say "ti ammazzo di botte" before starting an infinite combo of punches with grimly against my father until he slapped me in real life), and one of the best thing imo: Open world. And come on, hero titans were just amazing, sadly only in Xbox 360 you can see their real form in game and not only in the picture of aura (MOJO in Italian version is called aura). And over everyone, my fav titan is hero magmadon, it's just beautiful.
Heads down my favorite quotes from this game are: 1. "Paper covers rock, but paper can't stop rock IT MAKES NO SENSE !" 2. N-Gin: I've been watching you Crash and your delicious sister Aku-Aku: delicious ? N-Gin: Precious, I mean precious sister (I'm going eat her) WHAT !? 3. Man if I have nibbles they kill right now
Having played Twinsanty, Ctr, and Bash all my childhood, when I first played this game, it blew me away with Crash being able to PUNCH people and stuff. Overall had a great experience with the game.
"They locked the gate behind me after I went through it, so I had no choice but to play through the whole area again." Yeah, Twinsanity had that problem, too.
Creative indeed, but I feel that the constantly changing styles made them feel inconsistent, like they aren't part of the same story or context. There's a reason why many games stay with a single art style for 2D cutscenes, like Tyson Hesse with Sonic Mania.
N. Brio for president. I've always found him hilarious, his design, voice, everything about him. I'm so glad they finally put him CTR Nitro Fueled. Thanks for making this video. 😎
It's like an alternate universe version of Crash Bandicoot, but it's enjoyable because there's such a diverse moveset, and you can carry a powerful ally. If you don't go into it expecting a typical Crash game and keep an open mind, you'll enjoy
This game was my childhood. I remember playing it when I as 6 or 8, but I was so dissapointed when the game crashed (no pun intended) before the final boss fight. I never finished the game because of that, and now I know the ending. Thanks Lewis
Even though I've played them about the same amount back in the day, I still have a lot more memory of Titans that I have of Mind over Mutants. And I think part of that is because the first game repeats all of the unskippable cutscenes (which I hate) and bosses (which I like) everytime you replay a mission, while this game doesn't and just becomes kind of empty after the "story moments" happened. So Titans gave more of an impression in a way. I do like the Mind over Mutants formula a bit better though, and it would've been more fun if it had a bunch of fast travel points that you could select from the map, along with better levels in general.
I remember this game so fondly, i think as a kid i played and finished it atleast 3-5 times, cuz i loved how you took control of the bosses and octopus guy and spike was my fav mutant i think
I liked this game and the art was great, especially the cutscenes, the titans(I also found the new Stench in their impractical astronaut overalls cute) and the environments(which are amazing btw). I have to admit this game has very glaring flaws that I think resulted from rushing as it was released barely 1 year after CotT (4/10/2007 to 7/10/2008), which in a way is impressive. I also liked that you gave this game a fair assessment rather than just dismissing it like others do. It's saddening that a lot of fans just want any hint of the Radical era erased. Especially when no ideas from it are considered for Nitro-Fuelled by the fans, even through these games do have good ideas.
This game was literally the utter antithesis of my childhood and I obtain an immense amount of fond memories just getting the game done with 5 times. It’s a bummer that there’s such a negative connotation around it, therefore implying that a remaster wouldn’t be within the realm of possibility, since I would’ve purchased a remastered rendition of this game in a heartbeat
Man, I remember this game. I played it all the time when I was a kid, and absolutely loved it! It's very nostalgic seeing it again, and seeing someone talking about it.
Tag Team Racing and Mutant were the only two Crash games I was interested in. Mutant hit close to home for me because it was the first game I’ve ever played. I’m glad someone made this video and, in a way, agrees what I feel and think about the game today.
I really like Cocos design in this, normal and monster form Oh and Nina in both, i get that shes suppose to look like a goblin but, i find it more appealing
Francisco .Mora nope this video cleared a lot to me. I thought it was crash of the titans (which I really liked) but idk something about it doesn’t make me like it
I was kinda searching myself for reviews of the titan games cause I never played those in the Crash franchise. They never looked interesting to me. They never looked like "Crash" games. After watching these two reviews I decided to not play them, yet again.
After a while if forgetting this game and looking for it for childhood sake, I finally found it, my first game I've ever played a while after I moved to America
Thanks so much for making this video, as one of the first games I played in my life, I am able to say that I can't hate this game because of it but still comparing it to what crash really is supposed to be and highlighting the problems it has a an "openworld" mission based game. I really appreciate channels that Dedicate a video to most games even though they're loved or hated! New Sub By the way!
I loved this game as a kid. Definitely remembered getting lost a lot though. I wasn’t a fan of the 2nd boss battle. I was ok with the first one because she had kinda funny voice lines. And the 3rd was fun because as I kid I thought it was hilarious that you could ride Cortex in his boxers and destroy everyone.
I feel like there were pros and cons between both Titans and Mutant but I recall hearing Mutant had more hate than Titans but there were some aspects of Mutant that I preferred more than Titans. This game is open world which I really liked about this game and with some unlockables.
In the Wii and the Xbox 360 versions, there were some little better aspects than the PS2 version, like playing as Coco after you beat hear or the hero mutants actually wearing armors instead of just being different colors
Around 5:56 you can see the bandicoot house and the wreckage on the shore. But later there are mountains that lead to the glacier on the other side of the island. Are there actually no mountains after all? :D Also on the map screen of the game the glacier and desert are on the opposite sides of the island wich would make sense geologically, but if the actual game world is to be believed, they are in the same general direction, opposite to the Jungle of the main area of the island. This has bothered me since I was 7 years old xD Edit: You know, I might actually replay this game and try to work out an actual map for the game xD
Your videos always make me want to re-play these old games! You have a way of telling the games story that makes them shine! Even if I didn't enjoy them when I played them before! Love your videos!
Man I never played this one and I was about to start tripping when you said they killed Crunch he probably my favorite character from the whole series and if not definitely from post Naughty Dog games. You had me going for a minute.
Gotta say, Coco was looking pretty hot in this game. Also N.Brio is what saves this game, he makes it be so funny. I do agree that the evil school area really should be bigger and let you explore more as well. Also being able to play as Coco or Crunch would have been nice too. Crash Mind Over Mutant and Crash of he Titans are really mixed bags but this one is pretty good for what it is. At least it is not like Spyro Eternal night which literally has a mini cut-scene every time you face enemies. Which is why I still have not finished it, it got way to repetitive.
One thing I would like in a new Crash game is to include some of the inhabitants of the Wumpa Islands besides the natives. I know MOM wasn't liked but I really liked the world and the people there. We could have a native village sure, but it would be cool to see the frozen coast for instance and see the mutatns and the people there just live their lives. The mutants would be like calm creatures or something :D And I mean the mutatns wouldn't necessarily have to be a part of the gameplay but just NPCs, and residents of the place.
I love the transition of the areas ( my fav is going to the grimly area and seeing how the weather and background changes , ahh i love how creepy that mount was :,)

The cutscenes were definitely the highlight of this game, honestly I enjoyed it back when I played it but I really haven't played it since around when it came out so it's been a really long time. I didn't expect this to end up being the last game and it's still kinda surreal seeing Crash back, it's only been remakes so far but they've been phenomenal nonetheless.
I remember having lots of fun with the ds version thanks to the fact that you could evolve titans.. It was a veeery mind blowing thing when I was younger lol
I only went through this game once over 10 years ago for the cutscenes and laughs. Playing through this game is a pain in the ass because of the camera during the backtracking. I still enjoy Titans, but for MoMutant I just watch the cutscenes online.
I mean don't get me wrong, I do like how the cutscenes look in their own unique way, but for me and others like Antdue for example, that's also kind of the problem. By having all the cutscenes be of differing styles while they may look nice on their own, putting them all together in one game creates a real lack of identy. I feel like if they just picked one of them, it would've been better in my eyes, but hey, to each their own.
I think it adds to its identity the same way it adds to Gumball's identity. It shows a love and admiration for animation and adds a new layer to actually be excited for another cutscene
kinda wish mutant coco stayed as an alternate form she could later control. Something about a genius that can suddenly become an insane technical maniac is very appealing. Like Jimmy Neutron turning into a more dangerous Ed from Cowboy Bebop.
Fun Fact: Mind over mutant is the first game that beenox works on as supporter team it's also rushed game like twinsanity but it doesn't have a lot like ts otherwise tiny & ripper roo should've bring back also 3 areas were cut because of the lack of time, the backtracking wasn't meant to be a thing in this game but it was made of to replace the cut areas this game also supposed to have 100% Boss/Ending
I only watched someone rush through it for one of the time things and I can safely say it's bad. Anubis-Vicious and Titan Chimera are cool design through.
It's crazy people say this was their childhood lol to me this wasn't my child hood but I still I thought it was amazing to be honest seeing how much crash changed since I was a kid playing crash on ps1.
To be honest, by 2017, there's already a far superior version of that game. Giving few reason to plag MoM. And that game is Super Mario Odyssey. It improved everything Mind Over Mutant did to create a masterpiece.
@@kennydarmawan13 that it has connected levels with collectables? Never seen that concept. Comparing these two games makes about as much sense as comparing cuphead to dark souls cause they are hard and gave bosses

For years I forgot about this gem, but watching this video bring so much nostalgia. I remember lot of these areas and cutscenes :) thinking of installing ps2 emulator and maybe playing this with my little brother. Depends if its hard to do
For whatever reason, I remember the Hero Titans looking like how they did in their picture instead of just slightly different versions of the original. Maybe it was because I was a kid playing on Wii with his Mom, maybe it was because I did something different. Nice throwback watching this though
As a kid this game used to scare me, specifically the junkyard area and the lairs of the super titans, it's just the vibe of such contrasting locations and big ferocious monsters being withing walking distance of the "safe spaces" in this game (but that's what you get when you give a kid who lived near the woods and loved monster shows a game about mutant monsters lol) safe to say this game has a special place in my heart, not really as a fun game, but a game that helped me face my fears

TTR was too mindlessly easy due to it not having good enough focus on its racing/platforming style gameplay, but I adored its attempt at actually being open world.
"The game had low sales because it didnt have any advertisement. Thats just it."
Wrong. It definitely had advertisement which included some stars of a movie called "Jackass". Here's proof: th-cam.com/video/sQaGTozWxqo/w-d-xo.html
They advertised the heck outta the Crash & Cortex team moves which made me think all their moves like the rollerbrawl & humiliskate were going to be actual abilities that you can use at will, but nope they're actually very situational to plot which really sucked.
Plus Twinsanity was released near Jak 3 & Ratchet 3(badass action cartoon games with true open world gameplay) so it got super curbstomped by them. Twinsanity going in that super silly atmosphere made the series lame to most old school Crash fans so they completely gave up on the series. Twinsanity basically took away Crash's cool factor that he gained in the 90s.
@@zagorsaxe lmao twinsanity has over 100 glitches, like 50% of the game were cut and its easy af. All twinsanity fanboys are highkey stupid. Its bad game but you can have good time there

@@chaosriders79 nice one
I'm always gonna have a soft spot in my heart for crash of the titans and mind over mutant. I know it's mainly nostalgia but I loved them so much when I was little.
And mind over mutant's title theme fuckin slaps tbh
N. Brio’s humor in this game is timeless. xD
"My name sounds like a fetus".
"read your Bible, I WROTE IT!"
"I was in the first game!"
"Stop playing with Slinkies because they're MINE!!!"
@@trava0477 grimly is so overpowered
I actually like this game despite it's huge problems and boring backtracking but with co-op mode it will be more enjoyable
Heads down my favorite quotes from this game are:
1. "Paper covers rock, but paper can't stop rock IT MAKES NO SENSE !"
2. N-Gin: I've been watching you Crash and your delicious sister
Aku-Aku: delicious ?
N-Gin: Precious, I mean precious sister (I'm going eat her) WHAT !?
3. Man if I have nibbles they kill right now
Having played Twinsanty, Ctr, and Bash all my childhood, when I first played this game, it blew me away with Crash being able to PUNCH people and stuff. Overall had a great experience with the game.
you forgot to mention that titans can jump now. i love that
"They locked the gate behind me after I went through it, so I had no choice but to play through the whole area again."
Yeah, Twinsanity had that problem, too.
The cutscenes in a different animation style was pretty creative.
Creative indeed, but I feel that the constantly changing styles made them feel inconsistent, like they aren't part of the same story or context. There's a reason why many games stay with a single art style for 2D cutscenes, like Tyson Hesse with Sonic Mania.
Too bad I thought it was so damn inconsistent and I didn't like kost of them visual wise

N. Brio for president. I've always found him hilarious, his design, voice, everything about him. I'm so glad they finally put him CTR Nitro Fueled. Thanks for making this video. 😎
when I looked at the title "was Crash:Mind Over Mutant a good game?" I can answer that question,YES it is. Just try it out you guys.
It was basically the only thing that kept me happy while I had to live with my dad for half a year , so I'd definitely would say yes .

@@WumpaLewis I did too, great video.
I liked this game and the art was great, especially the cutscenes, the titans(I also found the new Stench in their impractical astronaut overalls cute) and the environments(which are amazing btw). I have to admit this game has very glaring flaws that
I think resulted from rushing as it was released barely 1 year after CotT (4/10/2007 to 7/10/2008), which in a way is impressive.
I also liked that you gave this game a fair assessment rather than just dismissing it like others do. It's saddening that a lot of fans just want any hint of the Radical era erased. Especially when no ideas from it are considered for Nitro-Fuelled by the fans, even through these games do have good ideas.
Damn, I remember playing this game on the PSP like a decade or so ago. This will be always be a golden memory of my childhood
I really hope they remake this game. Literally the last and only crash game I beat. With all the suggested changes and better boss battles.
This is a crazy nostalgia trip for me. First video game I ever played and it was amazing
I really like Cocos design in this, normal and monster form
Oh and Nina in both, i get that shes suppose to look like a goblin but, i find it more appealing
Best Coco. N.sane / nitro fueled Coco comes at a close second

In the PS2 Version you can see how they are supposed to look in the Titan Icon. It's kinda sad this version was limited by the hardware.
Im so happy this was in me reccomendations. I vaguely remembered this game and it felt good reminiscing
Around 5:56 you can see the bandicoot house and the wreckage on the shore. But later there are mountains that lead to the glacier on the other side of the island. Are there actually no mountains after all? :D
Also on the map screen of the game the glacier and desert are on the opposite sides of the island wich would make sense geologically, but if the actual game world is to be believed, they are in the same general direction, opposite to the Jungle of the main area of the island. This has bothered me since I was 7 years old xD
Edit: You know, I might actually replay this game and try to work out an actual map for the game xD
I absolutely love the setting of this game. Every area is beautiful. Crash's house is so damn chill
The scorporilla looks pathetic in this game compared to titans
Shame there wasn t any elephant mutant like in titans

The cutscenes were definitely the highlight of this game, honestly I enjoyed it back when I played it but I really haven't played it since around when it came out so it's been a really long time.

Imagine having a Mutants' Grand Prix in Nitro-Fueled. That would actually be pretty cool. I get to drive around as a Scroparilla.
I only went through this game once over 10 years ago for the cutscenes and laughs.
Playing through this game is a pain in the ass because of the camera during the backtracking.
I still enjoy Titans, but for MoMutant I just watch the cutscenes online.
5:25 why does this titan have the ability to turn off the anti aliasing?
Inverted Games
This might be the world strongest Titan
This is my childhood and i almost had forgotten about it.
This crash series brings back alot of nostalgia, I definitely dropped a sub
I remember this game being good, but weird. The last boss was really weird too.
kinda wish mutant coco stayed as an alternate form she could later control.
Something about a genius that can suddenly become an insane technical maniac is very appealing.
