The huntsman is REALLY good if you like being on the move and more aggressive. Pyros can ruin your day with a timed use of M2. It's not quite as effective as the stock rifle if you have a good position and reflexes. . . But in return you can dish out quick headshots much easier while on the run, potentially completely piss a demoknight off when you use the just right timed taunt kill on him.
Oh yeah, also corner peeking. Lots of corner peeking, accidental kills and "Wow! That worked?!" moments. I renamed my Compound to "Oh. . . I missed the apple!" because I usually miss the original target and get a headshot on someone else with it.
TL;DR the huntsman is better in a few specific playstyles and situations, but usually worse than stock in most circumstances. Overall a great sidegrade with huge potential - if you can get used to it.
