    2), Is one able to travel by plane to the beach towns and back to Chiang Mai during 2021 covid?
    3). I only want to be in Thailand for 6 months is the STV visa most appropriate?

    Some of these comments are so funny! But the humor is based on reality. I have never done anything so complicated in my life of 62 years. The Thai government really likes paperwork. When I thought I was finished then I find out I need a T8 Declaration Form, and something called a "Thailand Plus" for my stupid phone. So they no longer require the "Fit To Fly" certificate... thank you! Arg, arg, arg...

    Hi, great video, thank you. In video you stated that you need the COVID ($100,000) insurance for the duration of stay. I applied for a A-O VISA which I received and I have also received the CoE, but my Embassy stated that I only needed a 3-month duration on the COVID ($100,000) insurance as long as I have health insurance for the duration of my stay. If the embassy has given me the wrong information and Thailand does require a 1 year COVID ($100,000) insurance, can I simply just purchase the remaining 9 months of insurance after I enter Thailand?

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John! Every Embassy processes things a bit differently. Since they are the ones that provide you with the necessary documentation to enter Thailand (non OA visa and COE) you should follow what the Embassy says. The COVID insurance requirement is only a requirement to ENTER Thailand. There is no COVID insurance requirement once you’re already here 😊

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aligwhit! It’s best you talk to the foundation. It is most likely more expensive to get in Thailand. Volunteer visas are Non O so you must the getting a working visa if it’s Non B. Non O Volunteer was previously only obtained outside of Thailand, but because of COVID some Immigration offices will change your tourist visa in country but for a high fee. However switching from tourist to Non B in country is and always has been possible.

    I have a doubt. If I compile the process to get the insurance appared this message : "You will be covered worldwide except in your country of permanent residence". But if I make an Elite Visa and so I would like to get Permanent Residence in Thailand is it still valid?

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well first let me clarify that having an Elite visa does not establish permanent residency in Thailand. It is essentially a long term tourist visa.
      This ACS insurance is just travel insurance, so the maximum amount of time you can get it is 12 months. It’s actually very good expat coverage that my insurance broker recommends, separate from the covid requirement to enter Thailand. He suggests long term expats (including Elite expats) get this coverage for their first 12 months in Thailand then switch to local coverage later.

    Hey sorry, I want to ask if I go to Thailand to tourism for 30 days, and my country is under the list for visa exemption, do I still need to apply for TR visa? Or I should just get Certificate of Entry (CoE)?

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how long you want to stay in Thailand! The only difference is that the TR visa is 30 days longer. You need a COE for both.

  • @salwandawody6671
    @salwandawody6671 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Hailey, I did all the requirements including the COE certificate to get back to Bangkok and I would like to correct something : COE certificate is NOT valid for 15 days Cuz it’s linked to your arrival date at Suvarnabhumi airport that’s why it’s valid for the information it includes which is your departure date and arrival date at Bangkok.
    In the other hand after you get the pre- approval from the Thai embassy you will need to use the 6 digits ( provided by the Thai embassy for you ) to complete and upload the rest of the requirements ( ASQ flight tickets and again the health insurance ) and once you use the 6 digits to do so you will have ( 15 ) days counter to provide and upload the 3 mentioned documents.
    The 15 days validation is for after the pre- approval to upload ASQ flight tickets health insurance, NOT the validation of the COE certificate otherwise the Thai embassy will not provide you the COE certificate if your flight is more than 15 days from the date where the COE certificate is been approved for you by the embassy.
    Just a lil correction ☺️

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Happy to see you made it from Iraq Salwan! Yes you are correct! Back in December when a client said their COE expired, it was actually the code that expired. My misunderstanding. You are correct Salwan - it is the 6 digit code that is valid for 15 days 👍

      Technically this is not possible (Education visas are issued by Thai Embassies and Consulates outside of Thailand) but some formal schools and some Immigration offices have ways to do this. If you are looking to do this in Chiang Mai, contact me. Hailey@retireinchiangmai.com

    USEFUL TIP FOR EVERYBODY : Insurance does not need to cover one year. In fact you can register for a cheap plan and cancel it when you arrive. There is no insurance requirements anyway for changing or extending visas in the country.

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      👏 Nice tip! Yes, the insurance requirement is only to enter Thailand. No insurance requirement when you're already in country :)
