    Hi Hayley, another great video from you and your team. Well done. To all those who commented here, my wife and I applied for the Elite visa a year ago and we are living in Chiangmai. During this year we have travelled quite extensively to Singapore, Hong Kong and domestically. Between us we have 48 airport limousine services, completely free of charge. Do the maths on what it will cost you for taxis to your home or hotel and you will see how useful this service is. For checking out and checking in back to Thailand, you will also be met with an Elite Visa personnel who will guide and assist you through the immigration process.
    In terms of service from both Hailey’s and the Elite Visa team, they are faultless. Full of enthusiasm, courteous, very very helpful and will go out of their way to assist you. We have absolutely no complaints about their services.
    The only issue we have with Thailand is the 90 day reporting. I think they should do away with this if we hold long term visa and just make it an annual reporting service. However, having said that, Hailey and her Angels will remind us at least a week before our 90 day reporting is due and they will manage and take care of the reporting.
    So, if you are seriously considering retiring in Thailand, I would not hesitate to recommend Hailey and her Angels and the Elite Visa. Good luck.

    I'm so glad I found you! It was super generous of you to give so much detailed info, instead of the usual mystical video just saying to schedule a consult. And you answered most of my other questions in the comments. Sometimes, giving information results in more business. You will have mine, for sure! I have watched tons of videos and read countless websites and none made the Elite look worth the money before. Not having to pay for health insurance is HUGE.
    One question, (even though I'll be making an appointment with you), which others may also have, is what happens if you get the 20 year visa and you're still alive and kicking? Can you get another 5 or 10 year elite visa extension then? And, I guess I have one more question...would there be any issues staying in Thailand if you want or need to go into a Thai care home while on the elite visa? Would you be good to stay on it?
    I wanted to let you know, by the way, that there is a problem with your website link. I tried it in both Safari and Firefox and got an error that the site isn't secure and couldn't be connected to. Might just be down this evening (Saturday night March 4th), but thought I'd give you a heads-up. The scheduling site appears to be working fine, though.
    Thanks for the great info. You're a real pro.

    While researching the possibilities of living in Thailand, I learned from Bloomberg News: “The baht is emerging as Southeast Asia's worst-performing currency in the second half, losing 7% during the period and hitting a 16-year low.”
    One video showed that if a retired person put 800,000 bhat into a Thai bank account in 2021, they would have lost nearly $3,000 of value by 2022.

    • @martypoll
      @martypoll ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 800,000 baht is an immigration requirement not an investment opportunity. You bring money into Thailand to spend in Thailand. The exchange rate in early 2021 was 30 baht to the US dollar and increased to as high as 38 baht to the dollar in December 2022. 2022 was a great year to bring money into Thailand to spend in Thailand. I brought money into Thailand this year to build a house. I saved a considerable amount of money due to the favorable exchange rate.

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Right, the money is primarily used for the financial requirement. It’s also possible to hold funds in a foreign currency account, and meet the financial requirement holding USD in a Thai bank account.

      It's a mute point. IS dollars & other currencies are experiencing inflation that equates to about the same . The value of consumer goods in Thailand is much cheaper than the US. Or you can stay in your home country w o the benefits of the land of smiles.

I have planned a trip to Thailand in October to just check it out and could use some help with how a visa would work for just a few months and then how the border runs work I want to travel Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia and back to Thailand. I want to spend as much time as I can there and different locations to see if that is the place I want to retire. And at that point possibly get an elite visa if Thailand is where I want to live.

    Question....The bank requires you to have residency before opening an account but to get a lease you need to have a bank account. How does that work? OOps we just had an earthquake. Anyway I will be contacting you soon.

    But one thing is still unclear to me regarding the method of proving the monthly income of 65,000 baht.
    I understood that I have to present my monthly income for 12 months. Do the immigration offices mean the 12 months that have passed during my stay in my country when applying for the retirement visa in Thailand, or do they mean the 12 months that will pass in real time during my first retirement year in Thailand ?
    I will appreciate your replying.
    Thank you.

    I would really like a 20 year elite visa coming from the US, but right now it’s a lot easier for me to have a place in the Philippines, and take a flight to Thailand, with two boarder runs every 30 days a year and then return to the Philippines after 90 days. But I have to say a 20 year elite Visa would be great if I could afford it.

      The Philippines is so much easier than Thailand. Thailand cost itself some money with its strict immigration policies

    Thank you so much for sharing this information. I always thought these visas were out of reach for the average Joe. I realize now that with everything that's included with the Elite Visa, it's a no brainer. Would the Elite Visa work for someone who's semi retired and wants to spend the winter months in Thailand but comes back to his own country to work for a few months as well ? thank you !

      Thank you Andy, I’m glad you found this video helpful! The Elite visa is suitable for anyone who wants to travel in and out of Thailand regularly without worrying about visa requirements or problems with Immigration. Not worth the money if your only here for the winter month. Cheaper to just do border run.

    Just wondering for OA, can I use my investment portfolio as my financial requirement? Because the balance in my investment account is more than 800k Bht, but my saving account and income is not. Also, when applying for 1year extension, do I still use my home country (Canada Vancouver) financial document to prove it or do I have to deposit to a Thai bank?

  • @roamingalone5226
    @roamingalone5226 ปีที่แล้ว

    Elite visa is all about $ spend which is non-refundable. Whilst the o-retirement visa of TH$800K deposited in the bank still belong to YOU and not treated like a sunk-cost like the Elite visa - a very important decision for many. Though visa run a bit inconvenience but still worth a while. You can always visiting the neighbouring countries and do a comparison to find a perfect place for your retirement.

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your thoughts Solo Traveler! I agree, it’s best to check out different countries before making a decision.
      And right, the Elite visa is a one time fee, not a deposit like the Non O. It’s easy to transfer money into Thailand but difficult to transfer out, so some people prefer to invest their money elsewhere and pay the one time fee for the Elite visa. Thankfully visa runs are not necessary with a Non O or Elite visa, assuming the timing and permits are done correctly. 😊

    You can add that to extend the non O-A in Thailand, Immigration require a health insurance . I think the Elite visa still require the 90 days reporting at Immigration. Do you take care of that for all members ?

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, Non OA extensions require health insurance. Yes, Thailand Elite files 90 day reporting for members. As an Elite agency in Chiang Mai, we submit on behalf of Elite members.

But my question to you if you would be so kind. Can I apply for a learning visa first im planning to take a Thai class i want to learn the language first, is that an expensive visa a learning visa. 2nd question is it easier or cheaper to get a visa at age 67. Im only 62 now but waiting to put in my Social security first at age 65 along with my pension.3rd question And do you think i could live a comfortable life in Chiang Mai on a budget of $2000,00 Us ?
    Its going to be a few yrs till I can make the move so if I dont here back from u I understand. I mentioned the learning visa because if I go to school to learn Thai would it be cheaper for the fist yr and by wanting to learn there language would it be better showing my interest in there country.

    If we apply for Non O in our home country, do I still need to have 800k thb in Thailand bank, or in my own bank at home? Are all requirements the same as if apply in Thailand? If apply in Thailand, should I get a 60 days tourist visa to enter Thailand, or 30 days? Thank you.

      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lisa, your email and consultation booking were well received. Because the Elite visa process takes 2-3 months and the validity begins once payment is processed (even if you’re not in Thailand), we recommend you apply closer to your arrival.
      I had a family emergency and had to travel internationally on 12 April when you booked a consultation, so I requested Pang cancel our appointment. I emailed you back regarding my availability in case you’d like to re-schedule a consultation with me. Let me know if there was any issue receiving my email.
      Thank you for your understanding. 🙏

    How long is the process for the Retirement visa? As I understood, you have to have 800,000 baht security deposit or if you don’t have it another option is a 65,000 income. Am I correct?

    • @ThailandEliteSpecialist
      @ThailandEliteSpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว

      It typically takes about 3 months to change from a tourist visa to the Non O (3 month) visa + 1 year extension.
      Varying by country, it *may* be possible to meet the financial requirement using the monthly income method of 65K thb, but many Embassies no longer issue the Affadavit verifying pension.

    Hey there, my name is Joe Emery. I'm from the US. I'm 52 years old and I'm a 100% disabled veteran on a VA pension. I make just under 4k a month. My credentials are spot on. I have no felony's, and 100 % medical coverage for life. It sounds like I want the elite visa, as I plan to stay in Thailand for life. My passport is in the works and all going well I plan to arrive just after the 1st of August. The only real issue I'm worried about is that I'm bringing a dog. Please text me anytime and I believe we can do business. I look forward to hearing from you....thank you ....

    Hi Hayley, thank you for the informative video. I used to run a photography company in Thailand a while back. I am now back in London but looking to return to Bangkok and work as both a freelance photographer again and a freelance extra/actor. I am over 50. So last time i set up my company to get the Thai work permit I had the Thai shareholders and one Thai staff. Now is there a visa that allows me to work as a freelancer - photographer and perhaps also as an extra (TV and movies) and not commit to the need for 4 Thai staff and Thai shareholders? It would be semi retirement work and I have obviously no guarantee of work as a freelancer. I believe you cannot work with the Elite Visa. Please help and thank you in advance.
