I love the use of colour during this scene, the blending of red and blue. Classic colours, with blue representing the light side and red representing the dark side. Notice that when Anakin seems to emerge to talk to Obi Wan the colours take on a blend of blue and red, with the blue slowly overpowering the red. But once the dark side takes over again it shifts back to full red again.

    • @misterhippy4997

@@dread1262 Nah, who Anakin truly was was that hotheaded Jedi Knight from the Clone Wars who did whatever it took to win and to save innocent people. He was simply being corrupted by Palpatine since they first met, plus his only true father figure, Qui-Gon, died about a week after they met and he still respected and loved him, as evidenced by Anakin calling his Force Ghost on Mortis "Master" even though he didn't know if he was really even Qui-Gon at first. Without Palpatine, Anakin probably wouldn't have gotten such terrible nightmares about Shmi and Padme in the first place, after all, which is what caused Anakin to go back to Tatooine when he knew that after 10 years his mother might already be dead anyway, and then he found out about the Tusken Raiders and the only person he ever really talked to about it was Palpatine (and Sharad Hett but he wasn't exactly the greatest guy either)

This is exactly what I was thinking when I heard him say that!! It was Anakin giving him an out in a moment of kindness, he could have twisted the knife of guilt and he didn't. Vader's screams of Obi-Wan's name at the end felt like anguish that Obi-Wan abandoned him yet again, but this makes Luke choosing not to leave him and see the best in his father more poignant, as that is ultimately what brought Anakin back in the end.

I literally watched her nose turn to pink as her emotions began to flow... LOL... Mentioned was "The Scar", on Anakins head. It was only ever seen once before. That being on the head of the original "Anakin Skywalker/Sebastian Shaw" at the end of "Return of the Jedi". I was glad to see someone else could recognize it from somewhere other than "The Ashoka Scene", in "Rebels"... But, I'm old-school, I digress.. ROTJ, Luke stating, "Then My Father is Truly Dead". Obi-Wan Referring to him as "Darth". "Lifting Rocks", was a phrase I REALLY wanted to hear throughout many various Star Wars scenes, however, the references have always revealed themselves to anyone who KNOWS... I was born on May 17th 1977. "A New Hope" opened in theaters 9 days later. HBO was my best friend back in those days because "Star Wars" came on all the time back then...It was the BEST/NEWEST/VISIONARY/MOVIE/MOVEMENT of its day... LOL... Also watched ESB & ROTJ in the theaters as a child... All of the first 6 films, even "Solo", aired in theaters within the month of May, which made Birthdays pretty awesome... That is until Disney got their hands on it, now its in December... I suppose that is intended to make Christmas a bit more special instead... LOL... Thanks to everyone who participated in the creation of this video... And just so you know, us fans appreciate your contribution & dedication to the Fandom... Also, Thanks to whomever stayed long enough to read this ridiculous Novel-Length comment all the way to the end... It was very enjoyable... Merry Christmas to EVERYONE...

I love when everybody in the begining of the fight is like kick his ass. But then when Obi Wan broke his helmet. Its takes a whole other turn. Because somehow Anakin is still in there. Everyone kinda forgot about it even Obi Wan. He doesnt see Darth Vader then. He sees his old friend that he feels sorry for leaving him and letting him down. When he says you didnt kill Anakin Skywalker i did. It to me is kinda true. Like Anakin was in so much pain and he felt like everyone was againts him. He kinda killed himself in some way by going to the dark side and let all that hate and pain just be. And then Darth Vader just took over.

I think it was a mercy for Anikin to come through and tell him that Obi didn’t fail or kill him. He absolved him of his guilt. But it also shows that Anikin takes full responsibility of what he has become, and I think after everything he’s done, he didn’t think there was a way back. It was better to just…go to the Dark Side and be the villain that everyone expected him to be.
I think that also speaks volumes of people as a whole. They drink, smoke, do everything in their power to avoid facing their demons and that is what stops them from getting better. People always…ALWAYS…underestimate their strength.

And they are also prone to push away people who are truly willing to reach out a hand and offer them the help they truly need. And as seen with Luke, that helping hand being offered with no strings attached, purely out of love for the good man Anakin had been and could still be, was ultimately what brought Anakin back and "killed" Darth Vader.

Vader claiming he killed Anakin honestly is right. No one made those choices for him. Ultimately it did come down to what Anakin CHOSE to do. However, this statement likely did the opposite of what Vader wanted. Obi-Wan has spent the last decade blaming himself, and Vader made that statement likely wanting to make Obi-Wan truly feel like he failed as a teacher and mentor, but what he actually did was bring closure. In confronting Obi-Wan with that truth, he made him realize it was not his fault. Obi-Wan finally comes to terms with the fact that this is from ANAKIN'S choices and actions, not his own.

Kenobi to Luke: "He betrayed and murdered your father"
Vader to Kenobi: "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker. I did"
This line right here enhances the original films SO much. Kenobi truly believes Vader killed him. Because he said so himself. It was "from a certain point of view". We just didn't know that it was from Anakin's.
Also, the fact that he referred to him simply as "Darth" at the end as another call back to 'A New Hope'. As 'Darth' is a title not a name, it always seemed weird that Ben called him that. But this scene shows that it was intentional - refusing to respond to him by his chosen name to his face, only by the evil which he has now become. Almost mocking him, as he has no more feelings left towards the thing standing before him

Every time you see Vader, you always see the part of him that is still Anakin Skywalker as well. The two parts of light and dark made whole, no matter what is being done. I think the only time we don't see that is in Rogue one, which, if I'm not mistaken has the smallest amount of screen time with Vader.

They made a dammit miniseries about Obi-Wan because Leia and Luke name Ben at Ben Solo that Obi-Wan helped Padme to give them birth. Is that because i waiting that they Will show Little Ben Solo in the Mandalorian, Ahsoka and Ezra series >:( the Mandalorian Is Ben Solo's childhood because It set 25 years before force Awakens and five years After return of Jedi. We Will see that Thrawn want to kill Ezra because it's probability that Ezra helped Anakin to reunite his children Luke and Leia before he kill Palpatine and Ben kill Thrawn saving Ezra. After we saw the plot twist they Will made return star wars Rebels with season five set during the original Trilogy of star wars on Disney Plus because Vader, Luke and Leia are most popular characters since 1977, ok? In the end of Rebels season five we Will see the birth of Ben Solo

Call me crazy, but I think when the blue lightsaber color is on Vaders face when he says "I am not your failure, Obi-Wan, you didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker, I did"
I think that was what was left of Anakin speaking and letting Obi-Wan know that his fall to the dark side was not his fault but his own. Then right afterwards the red color appears on his face and he transitions back into Vader.
