    Nice idea but not a great project. You can totally see the seam. I don't know why cricut can't just come up with a large format print and cut. It's like they're not even listening to us.

      Makers Gonna Learn Not to belabor the point but besides the huge waste of black ink when mere markers could suffice, we lose at minimum 1/3 of each page. There is a hack if you have Photoshop that allows you to use the full page...I’ll try to find the link and post it

    I GOT IT!!! You have to turn the shape to fit most of the project. It maybe tall or it may need to be sideways. I had to turn mine side ways (9.25 x 6.75). For the seam you just have to match as best as possible.

    Loved this idea... I agree that yes you can see the seem... but maybe if you layer it much closer and or slightly overlay it on top of the other?... But other than that, cute and helpful. Question. You mentioned nufun printable iron on... I have been having issues with it tearing when I send it to the cricut machine (maker) for intricate cuts. Do you guys have this issue as well? bought a new blade thinking it was my blade. Didnt work. I've been using Avery and that guy doesn't tear at all. Want to make nufun work for its Laser printing capability. Do you have any setting suggestions... Thought I might ask. Thank you in advance!

      You'd probably just use the 9.25 x 6.75 rectangle as a guideline for your sliced pieces then.
      Make the rectangle, resize your pieces accordingly (grouping the pieces so that they all resize together, then ungrouping when you're done), then delete the rectangle without any further slicing.

    Do you have a tutorial where it is a little closer? I am scared to waste the sheets and it not work.
    Thanks!

      You can get it perfectly close. I did not feel like completely re-doing the video for that few millimeters when I did teach the technique so you all can do it :) Yes, you can do this with dark transfers the only difference is that the material has a white backing :) Good luck!

      How should you use the tape to bind the two piece together ? Most transfer tapes for dark colors do not require you to mirror the image and if the tape is at the back then it would be iron onto the back of the project. Confused?

      @@bmsay2I am wondering the same thing. was thinking of using a heat resistant tape and taping the front of the image. hopefully it would peel away. I use the tape when I press sublimation or screen print transfers, just not sure if it would do something to the ink.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn

      Great question! For that method we recommend heating the pieces one at a time and using a teflon sheet to protect the finished pieces as you heat the others. Allows you to get closer without the tape :)

    Your awesome at explaining things but I’m still having trouble ☹️. After I slice and putting it back together I still have the orange triangle . I’m not sure what to do afterwards , could it be because maybe I need to turn my square sideways ? I’m trying to print a square image 10x8.5 . To anyone who will take their time to help me I would greatly appreciate it, thank you 😊

    I want to do some lage "fathead" style print and cut pieces for my girls' double nursery. One video I have not been able to find is one on larger than mat print and cut (vinyl). I have seen it done with paper, posterboard and HTV but not something like a printed wall decal. MGL- can we get this video!!! :D

    Hey guys, does anybody know if there is a affordable machine on the market, like cricut but just all round bigger. The project I wish to start requires an actual cut of 36 cm (not sure what that is in inches) but all machines on market like cricut and silhouette only cut maximum 11.5 inches. Would help me so much x

    I want a Cricut maker....but this small size print and cut restriction is feeling like its pushing me to buy the Cameo 4. Im looking up videos, but do not wish to spend my future time on hacks to trick a Cricut to do what other companies can do with no such restrictions.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! We understand your frustration. However, unless you plan on doing print then cut SO often, that's not a good enough reason not to get a Cricut. The Cricut is an amazing and easy to use machine, especially compared to the Cameo or the Scan n Cut. What machine you get is totally up to you :)
