THANK YOU Corrine. I made my first larger than mat and I love it. I was scared to try it until this tutorial. You explained it so well that I decided to go for it. Thank you again for such great video instructions ❤️
Thank You SOOOOO much Corinne for this GREAT tutorial...I'm Soo excited to try my VERY first larger than mat print and cut for my granddaughter's Isabela birthday party! I've been sooo lost watching all the videos out there and I'm hoping that I can actually get this done...fingers crossed x x
Love the instructions! I've followed all these steps and sliced but when I go to print, all the slices are all on the same page! How can I avoid this? I've got the explore 3!
If they are all on the same page then they are big enough to fit that way. If it’s putting it onto a material larger that what you are using then change the material size
Really great tutorial! Thank you for taking your time going over every step. It was really easy to follow along to get the correct instructions. Thank you Corinne!! 😊💖👍👏🏼💙😊
Your machine can do this but there are different steps and phrases used for this type of project. I am still learning silhouette myself. I would recommend checking out a silhouette TH-cam page
Same way you just have to piece it together on your fabric and press it. It will take a lot of time and work however. I would recommend looking at getting a DTF transfer instead. It will be softer and you wouldn’t have to piece it together
everything I film with is here www.amazon.com/shop/corinneblackstone/list/1SOPMGNVYOR89?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfcorinneblackstone_NDWT4SNT1A2N7R9T4383
Hi I have a silhouette cameo. The problem I seem to be having is where my print and cut joins there is a visible white seam. I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I notice yours does not have that problem.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this video. I am so excited to try it. I have my image ready to go, but I have one question. Did you have to set the paper to cardstock on your printer?
I did an offset and added wording to an image and I can't slice, what I am doing wrong, I already grouped them and flatten them before trying to sclice
Great video! As usual I'm always late to these parties (ugh) So, I followed step by step with you, but when I click Make It, I get a message saying "Project Incompatible" (This project is not supported by your current machine selection. To resolve, click OK and adjust affected layers) Please help, what did I do wrong??
Michelle, if you watch from around 5:07 Corinne explains exactly this bit. You're looking for the little triangle with an exclamation mark in it over in your 'layers panel'. This will tell you what layers are affected. Don't give up.
Thanks for sharing. Definitely takes care & patience. Any thoughts on adding an visable outline to the offset to assist with lining up the printed pieces or do you recommend not adding one?
Not with an expression no. But likely I think you mean an explore 2 and in that case yes you can everything is the same between the maker and the explore for this project
the first step when you put the black square and then selected both and then clicked slice....I don't have the slice option that came up in the bottom. What coud be my issues. I followed your steps.
i also got to go further somehow but then when I tried to print and cut one of the images I sliced said it was to big. I just dont think I will ever get this system. Youre videos are great thought
Design space has been glitching with slice a bit when it comes to print then cut images. usually just reloading the image onto your canvas or restarting the program fixes the issue. your print then cut images can only be 6.75x9.25 in order for it to work. sometimes it helps to make them just a touch smaller than that
Wait is the print then slice limit only with their stickers? Does this mean I can just upload a 12 x 24 inch file and print then slice it? Or would it need to be the exact size of the cutting area while printing on long A3 paper, but with the right margins.
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks, but it looks like I confused that cutting size with the actual paper size later on in the video. I do think I figured out how to sort of print then cut 12 x 24, or 11,5 x 23,5, though. Just print on Cricuts cardstock with 0,65 margins (if you have an Epson ET-8550), then line it up exactly with the mat and cut it after calibrating. And just don't unload the mat if it needs to be debossed or something.
Hi, I understand that I can cut on thicker materials. How do I cut on cardboard? Do I manually trace and cut? Please tell me what's type of thick material I can make it stand alone? Thank you
Cardboard will need a deep cut blade and cannot be more the 2MM thick. You would need to adjust the cut settings and possibly cut multiple times. I don't like to do that on my machine because it takes forever and dulls the blades super fast. you are better off hand cutting
I’m new to using cricut, I keep going over it step by step to slice my image and it’s just not allowing me to do so. My squares has decreased little by little to 6” w 8.2 h and still not able to. I don’t know how else to get it to slice and my overall image is 10.885x23. Any suggestions ??
If slice is not giving you the option at all it’s because you have to many layers selected you can only select two items to slice. Also sometimes print then cut doesn’t like to slice so you may need to reupload your image and try agaib
I love your tutorials but I am fighting with print then cut distorting the cut entirely. a 3 by 3 inch sticker ends up being cut .25 by 3 inches. help!!!
This is a common issue. Clear your cache and then restart everything including your computer. That typically helps. Also be sure none of your print then cut items are grouped. That seems to cause issues as well
This is a common issue. Clear your cache and then restart everything including your computer. That typically helps. Also be sure none of your print then cut items are grouped. That seems to cause issues as well
could be a couple reasons, one being you had more than just two layers selected at once. You can only select two layers for slicing. The other reason could just be a cricut issue. Sometimes its a little squirrly and you may need to restart the program to use the slice option even if you are doing everything right. It wouldn't let me slice the first time I tried to make this video and a simple restart fixed the issue.
Hello,, I see this is an old video and hoping you can still help! Is there a certain file or something I should look for when uploading an image? I purchased an SVG file from Etsy and when I upload the image, I don't get the option that says, "complex" nor the option to remove the background. When I try to slice the image, the "slice" icon is grayed out, I read the suggestions you gave to the persons who were having the same slicing issue and none of those worked for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried following your steps about 7 times and I still can't get the file to slice. It is "flatten" and I cannot "unflatten" it, Do you think I may have the wrong file type? Thank you!
So couple issues. Number one you’re using and SVG. Those files are made to cut in multi layers because of the way Design Space works. It will not be able to slice that design even after you flatten it you should be using a PNG image and keeping in mind that you can only use slice when you have two layers selected otherwise slice will be grade out.
Idk Know what I'm doing wrong!!! 😭😭😭 I've done it over.. like 7times! It keeps telling me an error msg YOUR COMPOSITION COULDN'T BE PROCESSED At least one of your materials does not fit on a mat I'm doin it on an iPad no error in layers showing and I've been making sure not too much of the design is touching the edge... Any suggestions of what I'm doin wrong??😢😢
Have you tried saving your design closing everything and reopening? And you’re sure nothing is even just the slightest too big? I know there have been some print then cut issues especially within the app the last few updates. I don’t typically use the app but I’ll see if I can replicate this issue
Hi. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I have a question...what kind of paper did you print the image on...was it cardstock or regular printer paper? Thanks.
You know what ? I have to do a lion king baby shower. Out of all these videos THIS WAS Thee best 😊 tutorial !! You are heaven sent !!
Agreed!!
I never understood larger then mat tell now, thank you
What a great tutorial, never done one of these before but your tutorial has given me the confidence to try. Thank you Corrine

Thanks so much I finally learned to do this amazing instructions
Yay!!! I’m so glad the video helped!
Thank you!!! This was an awesome tutorial. I appreciate you 🤗 I have a party I need to do & needed some help with larger than print cuts.
This was the most easy way of doing it. Thank you
I love this especially for my garden flags. Thank you

This was the simplest direction that I have come across. Do I need to buy an expensive inkjet printer or a reasonable will do?
Any inkjet printer will do
@Corinne Blackstone thank you sooo mich for replying
Good tutorial you have so much patience.
Great Video thanks for sharing
Can ask you a question about the 23" characters im disabled and it look easy on video i to step by step from craft buddies
You don’t have to ask to ask a question just ask it :)
Hi Corrine I have a silhouette matching can I use this same instructions on my silhouette
Your machine can do this but there are different steps and phrases used for this type of project. I am still learning silhouette myself. I would recommend checking out a silhouette TH-cam page
Ok thank you 😊
I found one here is the link th-cam.com/video/bc-UjGQ7m1k/w-d-xo.html
Not as easy like your but I will keep looking thank you 😊
This was an amazing video. Definitely have to try this ❤
Can the image be flipped to have the image on both sides? To use it for a centerpiece.
You absolutely could!
I will try looks simply lol until I try it
How much do you charger for something like that
I do not sell
Where Is The Love Button!!!!!
How do you do for a Iron on for a Shawl but that big size
Same way you just have to piece it together on your fabric and press it. It will take a lot of time and work however. I would recommend looking at getting a DTF transfer instead. It will be softer and you wouldn’t have to piece it together
As a beginner, this was such an amazing tutorial and many thanks!!! Did you use card stock for print & cut images?
Yes it’s 65 lb cardstock from michaels
Thank you I love it
Thank you so much for sharing. Now I just got to figure out how I'm going to do that for my tapered tumbler wrap.
What paper are you using
Everything I used is linked in the video description. It’s cardstock
Thank you. This helped me so much!Im a beginner and this was such a great help.
May I ask what printer you are using?
I have an epson et2720
is that regular paper or cardstock
Cardstock
Thanks 😊
Thanks Corrine so much for sharing this
Great thanks
Thank you so so so much 🥰 ver helpful 😊 saver
Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️
Hi can u share Ur printer which printer u r using????
It’s linked in the video description. It’s an epson eco tank
Great video! Thank you
Fantastic idea! Will be making this.
Could you use sticker paper to make this (photo print then cut)
You sure could!
Great tutorial! I learned so much. Thank you!
Great video ❤ please tell me how are you filming? Is your phone on a tripod? I’m trying to learn how to record videos what should I use. Thanks

Great tips. Is there a way to be able to see through the picture like in PowerPoint?
Cricut doesn’t offer transparency options but you can use the guides option to make it a red outline of a shape
Hi I have a silhouette cameo. The problem I seem to be having is where my print and cut joins there is a visible white seam. I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I notice yours does not have that problem.
It sounds like your cameo is cutting off where it should. I’m not sure if cameo has a calibration option but I would try that
You can change the square to guide or draw and see exactly what you’re slicing.
Awesome video! You explain things so well.! 😊. Tfs
Hi Corrine great tutorial can I ask with the new update of design can you slice this differently now? Thanks 😊
No slicing is still the same
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this video. I am so excited to try it. I have my image ready to go, but I have one question. Did you have to set the paper to cardstock on your printer?
I don’t but it depends on your printer
Hi! Can you use this same idea on the Cricut Joy? Thank you!
No. The joy does not do print then cut
What paper did you used to print?
Everything I use is always linked in the videos description. I use this cardstock go.magik.ly/ml/1bgnx/
I did an offset and added wording to an image and I can't slice, what I am doing wrong, I already grouped them and flatten them before trying to sclice
You cannot slice things now that are more than one layer. Even flattened design space won’t see it as a single layer
@@CorinneBlackstone ok thank you
Can I use cardboard on the cricut??
Yes you’ll need a deep point housing and blade

There really wouldn’t be a need for it. Lining it up is easy
what paper did you print on ??
Just cardstock
I have always wondered can you go ahead a print all your p/c images then cut or do you have to print then cut in order?
I printed all then cut. You just have to pay attention to which image the cricut is cutting
@@CorinneBlackstone oh this is a big help! Thank you. I would stack them in order they printed & also double check what is cutting.
Hi. I’m new to using Cricut. I have the Cricut Expression 2. Is this possible for me to do? Thanks
Not with an expression no. But likely I think you mean an explore 2 and in that case yes you can everything is the same between the maker and the explore for this project
Just a tip, use "guide" instead of basic cut for the operation to slice. You can see better what part you're slicing
It’s an option but I am not a fan of it. I find the red line difficult to see
the first step when you put the black square and then selected both and then clicked slice....I don't have the slice option that came up in the bottom. What coud be my issues. I followed your steps.
