I have this set up without all those extra wires everywhere I use the capture card also for charging No extra battery packs or multiple outlets. And transferring video from the switch to a quest headset..... doesn't need to be 4k , 120 fps 😅... Good video tho bruh. Nice
I consider you the definitive authority on this topic, with all the many videos you have done, spanning across MANY different capture cards. Do you notice any visual quality differences between the cards? Do any look any better than others, or do they all look exactly the same and the only concern is the compatibility and whether you get 60fps, or not? I am still fixated on this particular card since watching this video a few times from you. It is also unfortunately still not available locally to me, but I have been wondering whether any capture cards give a crisper, cleaner, clearer picture, or not? What about sound?
Hi!! So far I haven't really noticed a difference I'm honest. I think if you look really close then you might tell but generally it's hard to tell. I have just done a new video that will be live tonight on the Hagibis capture card. That one has been good. You can also choose the higher resolution too now within the updated app. Keep an eye out for my video later 👀
@@husondiy Nice! Glad to see that video quality won't be a concern between cards. I am not going to obsess with a magnifying glass, so if it isn't noticeable during gameplay, that is good enough for me! BTW, REALLY excited to check your new video! Thanks for the heads up!
Have you already checked out the Genki Shadowcast 2? I heard it has very low latency. It might not have pass-through charging but you can use any USB hub (like Anker) with pass-through on the Quest, no real reason it has to be built into the capture card/dongle itself. You know, I bet you could make a neat setup with a 60Ghz (like Peakdo) wireless dongle and get a cool wireless setup going.
Fantastic video. I was looking for exactly this. So you feel this Ugreen would be better than the Hagibis? Do you need to worry about charging the Switch for it to work? What if I don't mind being limited to how long the Switch works and just use it until the battery dies, will it still pass through audio/video, or does it need to be powered?
@@husondiy Thank you so much for this information. I wasn't sure if the power was just needed to charge the switch so it wouldn't die, but it sounds like it's needed in order for the functionality to exist. This is good to know and I will have a power bank ready when I try this. Thanks so much again for the great video.
@@husondiy Sorry to be annoying, you mentioned the Ugreen USB C extension cable, but didn't actually show it in use in the video. Did you have a chance to try this out and does the extension cable work and without any loss in quality, frame rate, or introduced latency? Do you happen to have a link to the exact extension cable you got, as I don't see it in the description. Thanks so much again! I have liked and subscribed and look forward to your upcoming video on the Hagibis capture card!
Hi!!! This is the one I used amzn.to/4dM4Tqh Worked absolutely fine, no obvious problems seen with delay/latency/speed etc Let me know if you have any other questions 👍🏻
@@husondiy This is perfect! This is the exact one I was looking at on Amazon Canada and wanted confirmation. Sometimes, some regions get different models and didn't want to make a bad choice! Unfortunately, the Ugreen capture card is out of stock here in Canada, but as soon as it comes in I am going to grab it, along with that extension cable. I can't wait! Thanks again for your time and patience in dealing with me. I am glad the extension cable added no ill side effects when used, as I definitely want to prolong the port on the headset!
Using the hagibis capture and the the hagibis usb c to HDMI with PD pass-through doesn't keep a steady 60 it jumps from 50-60 but using the hagibis switch 3.0 capture card and a usb c hub with passthrough provided a steady 60

when i plug my green usbc in nothing registers... do you have an idea what is going on or how to make it work? i thought it would be a simple plug and play
@@husondiyI have the same problem. I use the original Nintendo switch power cable plugged into the capture card. It’s all connected from switch to laptop. Opened up OBS Studio and all I get is “No Signal” Of course it’s never straight forward 😂
With this card charging the Switch and not the headset, have you learned through experience how long the headset will last on a full charge, if playing the Switch on it through this card? Thanks as usual!
@@Alnero80 So I've noticed. Maybe a little more, but not much. I thought just being a flat screen, it wouldn't have taken as much power as a full 3D VR game. I'm still hoping future OS versions, may boost the efficiency and use less power from the unit. I have a BoboVR battery, but can't connect it, because the port is being used by the capture card.
