Blender can do absolutely everything you can expect from a 3D modeling and animation software. The only difference between Blender and other types of 3D software, is the leaning curve and quality-of-life features.
Cycles is a pretty amazing renderer, I moved to Blender a week ago from ten years working with Cinema 4D and am in plain disbelief of how realistic things look without having to fiddle too much with the render settings.

About the handheld, IMHO, it can be done in post using After Effects or similar program but it has to rendered first in a much bigger size than the default camera size so that when it shakes you won't see the edge of the rendered file.

Or one can achieve a similar results with native animation techniques. But however he managed it, I really would like to have an insight to his method.

@@skylinestudiosrc actually, you kind of tweaked the lights oposite to how they work in real life didnt you? you set the day lights at max power as if it was daytime. Those turn down the intesisty to leave the xenon or headlights to light the front of the car without annoying other drivers. Actually, in some shots where are other cars side to side, their lights light up the road far more than the peugeot.

Absolutely amazing stuff. The most impressive thing that really made it real for me, is the car windows. The rain drops and even lighting made it look like condensation was happening. Man, that was absolutely beautiful. Small details that us 3D enthusiast notice and appreciate!

I've been playing around with cars a lot and the lack of suspension animation is kind of what ticks me off. The texturing, scene building and overall render is so good, love the tunnel and the realistic camera movements, it's almost like a car commercial xD
On the car image you see an arrow below, probably the rig, a car rig move the wheels automatically, basically while the car moves forward, for an amount of units the wheel rotates 360 degrees, or he just made a quick code to keep them rotating who knows lol

Well the rendering of a full movie will still cost you a lot of money if you don’t want to have to wait three years to release it. People have done unbelievable things with lower budgets but there is definitely a hardware limitation, even if it’s getting cheaper.
Had to watch the clip twice to make sure I didn't just watch a scene from a movie cause god damn thats some fire work my dude. Were gonna be seeing stuff like that now in theatres don't even need to pay for live sets anymore. Thats incredible though.

2.79 is just as capable as 2.8 in terms of outcome if you're using cycles. the realism you'll get is the same. It's just the performance that varies.

Yeah night time rendered with cycles and all those reflections looked so clean
It set the samples to 1200 and the filter glossy to something like 3 or 4..
