Huge news for NPR!! If you want to be a part of this amazing journey, come join us on Patreon!! We'll have new assets dropping every month for the next year! patreon.com/dillongoo
Sadly your tool is locked behind patreon, which i wont use hopefully this gets opensourced to someplace like github.
hi, may I ask how do you record your vrmodel video?
Make it available to Linux. (via Flatpak)
I LOVE BLENDED BEING OPEN SOURCE I LOVE BLENDER BEING OPEN SOURCE I LOVE BLEDNER BEING OPEN SOURCE!
I love how this comment spells Blendre differently three times (yes, the typo intentional)
Long live open source
This Brendler software is pretty cool ngl
blud said "Blender"💀
Native NPR support in Blender will be awesome!
FOREVER?!!!?!
FOREVER AND EVER?!!!?!?!!!?!
That's a very long time! :O
FOREVER (ever ever ever)
* plays "FOREVER" by Hugel and Diplo *
* plays Forever by S3RL feat. Sara *
Imagine casually dropping "Light Linking? Yeah that was us"
2:03 when you said "...directly into Blender" I almost jumped from my chair. What a godam amazing time to be alive
1:58 WOW! SICK! I thought this was gonna be click bait but hell no. Congratulations on officially joining the Blender render engine development team! Its crazy that something like Blender exists in this late-stage capitalism society.
I need only one thing. REFLECTIVE CELL SHADE!! Not only flat mirror. WHOLE OBJECT which can reflect cell shades full, and not a half of body
THIS IS HUGE! Goo Engine was an amazing piece of work, and impressive how good it is. All of this coming to the original blender is even better.
YOU WHERE THE ONES TO ADD LIGHT LINKING!?!??!?!!? I saw it and was like "Damn that's like goo engine! That's cool." But it was you the whole time!!!
When people talk about large companies, programs or products, it's said knowing the people working there will never hear your complaints, queries or thanks.
It feel like Dillon has almost created a link between the average solo developer and a companies product line. (Like Indie games and AAA Game companies, but for animators)
It's always possible with dedication, grit and hard work. Evident is for all to see. Thank you for paving the road for us. This will certainly change the future of animation for thousands of creators and millions of viewers.
The fact that you're going to be contributing to the core engine without branching out is HUGE, So exciteed, good luck!!!
Im going to say this, you are really keeping Monty Oum's dream alive and i must say, Im proud of you and the team, i followed you since 2019 the revolution of the cat meow of anime characters from demon slayer my hero academia
You paved the way and made that possible, this is the dedication you peaked from and im damn near proud of you dude
So freaking exited for the Blender community. Each day there is news of how adopting or joining this community is the best thing ever!
This is honestly the most insane blender change ever
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
native NPR in blender will start a second stylized 3d renaissance, absolute cinema
Instantly thought of you guys as soon as I saw Light Linking. Really cool to see this happen. Thank you guys so much for supporting independent creators.
This is an actual dream come true!! As soon as I saw Eevee light linking and viewport pass support I felt there'd be a huge push into NPR support coming our way and now there is already an NPR branch! Seeing you become part of the official Blender development team is super inspiring.
I remember seeing those Minecraft Fight animations back in the day and they've been a big inspiration for me that also made me discover Blender and now it's become a huge part of my life. Already been a wild journey and I'm super excited to see where the next few years will lead us
This looks amazing , Thank you for all your hard work. It was you and Monty Oum that inspired me to become an artist. Though I have a long journey and still a beginner, I hope that I will one day reach my goal. Thank you for making this possible
Had a college assignment in the past where i desperately needed some sort of Light Linking for a project and I was so releived when I saw 4.3 had it, I'm even happier now knowing that you guys were the one who added it!
Man Blender is too cool! And so are you guys too!!!
omg I heard both about the light linking Blender update and way back when Goo engine had it. I didn't put two and two together that it's you guys that added it. That's insane.
Awesome to hear! I've always been a fan of both PBR and NPR rendering but always thought NPR in most software was lacking, especially if you wanted to try and combine the two in Blender. Can't wait to see what you and the rest of the dev team cook up in the years to come. I wish you all luck!
2:04 let me say, before I move forward with the video, that I'm actually excited to hear this. Though my work has yet to see the wider world's eyes, the mesh trails alone has been awesome to work with. And, honestly, I've been having some issues trying to find my own style given how... well, most are either too hard to work into a pipeline for any sort of larger set animation, or how the engine will just destroy how to use it.
Congrats Professor Goo and team! I hope you all are aimed at just making sure the engine works to what you want to make. These days... it is hard to get behind anything that starts to... push any sort of message other than what they are working on. Being in the middle sucks.
Recently, trying to learn Blender and to know i create anime type styles in Blender really helps, as im currently doing a project based on a scene in Akira for my asset production. Thank you so much, Professor Goo and everyone at Hoo productions for helping methroughh this road block.
NAAAAANIII??!! HYPE HYPE HYPE LET'S GOOOO!!!
@@TheDrakLad drak my lad it’s HAPPENING
You have my blessing.
As a person that’s starting an animation (and game) studio I cannot thank you all enough
HUGE NEWS!!! It's been awesome watching your progress with animation, NPR, Goo Engine, it's nuts to see how far this has come! Good luck!
Thank you for your contributions to the engine, this will definentally help a lot of people wanting to make stylized content in native blender.
Blender is the ultimate fucking software, I swear to god. So many incredibly talented people all coming together to create something truly wonderful.
thank you for doing this, you are amazing!
WE MAKING HISTORY WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Y'all are some true born wizards of the NPR community, seriously huge congrats and much much thanks for all the invaluable work you provide for us! I've been a Patreon sub for about half a year now and I've never been more proud to funnel my money away
Super excited for the upcoming releases
This is amazing, congrats!! Having this natively in blender is so powerful. I think I'm finally gonna sign up for that patreon! 💖
Awesome news guys, congrats. I've been reluctant to use this software partly due to having to jump between versions so I think this will be a big step forward for NPR. Hope to use the tools soon.
Best news ever! I hope you succeed. Take on as much talent on board as you can. And really consider hiring a project manager, if you don't have one on the team already, you'll need it.
I am screaming. This is going to be awesome 🤩
Thank you Dillon, good effort! Greatly appreciate it
I rarely comment any videos lately and I am extremely hesitant to click any video that claims to "change something forever" or other superlatives but I think this one actually is one of the real ones. Holy shit this is exciting. Especially in an Open Source ecosystem.
You just gained a new Patreon supporter!
Thank you so much for Light Linking. It was such a saving grace for me when it got added.
as a developer this is huge. merging with the main foundation/team is so exciting and i am so happy for y'all
Perfect timing for me to really understand how blender works. I have so much understanding interface
This is pretty awesome. I can't wait to see a lot more creative projects in the works using NPR support in Blender!
Couldn't believe my ears to know that you're working officially with the official Blender team! So proud of you all for making it 👏
The power of Open Source!
MASSIVE!! I'm so excited for the future you guys will bring
I’ve been waiting for this! It just makes sense and it’s a win win. Thank you for contributing.
Great work guys! looking forward to the results from this multi-Dev callab!
I'm so excited for this! Blender needed this, and I'm glad you guys are helping with it
This is so cool! Congrats to you and the whole team!!!
this is so cool! blender getting a proper NPR engine/environment will make a lot more people (hopefuly) use it and contribute!
im really looking forward to it!! keep doing amazing work!
I'm a big fan of modeling and animation, and I really want to make those scenes, but I just don't know how.....especially with the art style and character models. I was so happy to hear that NPR rendering will be added to native Blender soon. You've inspired me so much 👍, and I've decided to take this as my career, I really enjoyed it.👍👍
Congratulations~! can't wait to see all the amazing things for the future!
That's pretty dope, the only thing left now is to have a way to be able to export what you do in blender to a game engine without having to write the shaders back from scratch over there too to match the look
I work with Blender and always dreamed of doing more stylizes renders for projects because it has some clear advantages to photorealism but I could never find the right time to learn more about Goo engine beside doing actual work so this is fantastic news to me. I'm looking forward to see where this leads.
Think of how much progression into simulation this might make?
You can shrink the cost of memory with simplified graphics, water and particles and even cloth and hair simulation wouldn’t look obviously faked in its hand drawn style and think of the many papers this will make.
Like, we’ve seen image clustering to make a new form of mesh on a model or a whole model entirely, pose libraries to shrink hand animation time during in-betweens, but giving a lot of room for sakuga levels of animation from individual animators that wants to spread their wings more.
This will make giving credit to animators much more simpler this way, while also making 3d engine progression much more efficient.
It will all blend together in real-time and everyone can each be credited for their commitments to many projects, engine updates and data managements, too.
This has to bring people together. Differences set aside to make a bigger vision fitting for many people across even the world for many to see and experience for themselves.
its thanks to people like you and your team that allow Blender to add so many amazing features, great job!
You guys will change the animation industry, I'm a very new fan to this channel and the team but I'm already so proud that you managed to make such a big project that will benefit all of us and the whole industry.
Finally, cell shading models that (hopefully) doesn't make Blender wanna explode from a million add-ons and rendering, looking forward to this
This is so incredible, I am actually so excited to see this in the hands of more people and honestly I may even start getting into it myself!
Hell yeah! This is awesome, I love your guy's work so much
this comes out when me and a friend begin self teaching ourselves blender because we wanted to create something....the stars are alinging, and the copious amounts of energy drinks and blender tutorials are rising XD
That’s really amazing news. Thanks for the update and I plan to subscribe to your Patreon!
Interesting stuff. While I don't use blender itself for rendering, this still gets me somewhat excited. Happy for your project, good luck!
Very cool stuff! I’m excited!
DAMN JOINING BLENDER DIRECTLY THIS IS CRAZY! CONGRATS
HOLY SHIT, THIS IS NOT CLICKBAIT. What a time to be alive, blender is such a blessing.
This is like an early Christmas gift
Its giving warm fuzzies, gl with the implementation!
This makes the most sense as far as future proofing and benefiting from all the other blender developments.
This is indeed huge news. Thanks for all the work you're putting in
Y'ALL this is gonna be AWESOME I'm so pumped
Dude, thats actually crazy. Cant imagine how hyped you guys must be!
As someone that uses cell shaid, this will be great!!
I currently make 2d styled avatars for VRChat, so this is gonna be great for making animations of them in blneder since Unity complex toon supports shaiders much more than blender currently does, even mat cap meterials! So having it be built in will be amazing!!!
I'm looking forward to the future updates, prof. goo!
2:00 literally the opposite of what i was expecting. this is such a good thing
This is awesome. I don’t even know how to use blender as well as I’d like at the moment, and only just recently got into using it, but this is exciting and something I’m very interested in checking into. Can’t wait to see all the cool stuff people make using this engine. Poly should be able to have some good fun with it for sure
2:00 YES YES YES YES YES YES YESSSSSSSS THANK YOU!
I was never a fan of forking Blender, so hearing that this will be come a part of Blender proper is huge to me. I can't wait to see how this goes.
YESSS!!! Congrats my goat! this is amazing!
This is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I hope you keep updating us! I'm HYPED AF!
These are great news! Can't wait to hear more of them, you guys rock!
Yoo that's sick. Thank you Dillon. This is so amazing. I wish I could donate to blender and you. When I get more money, I will.
Veeeeery exciting! Always been on the ANime Style Bandwagon. That's what I learned Blender for about 10 years ago. This is super sick!
LETS GOOOOOOOO. Amazing work, it's looking really bright for Blender's NPR.
I love you guys so much
This was one of those very few times that my jaw actually dropped. What amazing news!! Congrats!
Oh WOW! I didn't expect the news to be THAT big. Awesome!
This is extremely cool! Super hyped for this!
I've been hesitant to use the Goo Blender bc of other add-ons available in native Blender but this is amazing news!! So excited
Okay, Okay, Okay, slow down, I'm hyped if that turns out how all here are hoping for. I am more than willing to do my part in helping you Guys get this into Native Blender
this is only posible because blender is community based and open source i love this
You guys have Blessings from Animators for Sure !!!!
Holy crap, incredibly based.
That's huge news. Congratulations
This is brilliant
