I bought them utilizing your review, and the Fred Couples involvement. bridgestone is doing something right, im impressed. thx for your vid on this subject...
Hi Keen! This is really cool to hear! I absolutely love the Tour B RX and have been using it for most of the last few months now and I’m really enjoying it and can’t see me changing any time soon so I’m happy that this journey I’ve been on has helped someone else too! Thanks for watching the channel and keep enjoying your golf! 👍🏼
Appreciate this review as I’ve been using tour response and Bridgestone Rx throughout the year. It’s so tough because I feel they are so close together as your results showed. I love your reviews and will watch more of your reviews. Please keep up the good content.
Hi Jordan! Thanks for watching my video and for your kind words! I’ve fully switched to the Bridgestone Tour B RX now. It took me about 5 rounds to get used it after how long I’d played the Tour Response (basically since not long after it launched). I still love the Tour Response and think it’s a great ball that feels fantastic but for me the Bridgestone just offers a bit more of what I need help with in my swing (namely spin) at a similar price! All the best! 👍🏼
For years I played Titleist ProV1x, but I had problems with the ball checking up short on pretty much all of my pitches and chips. So I tried the Taylormade Tp5x, Callaway Chromesoft LS, Srixon Star, Bridgestone RX and RXS. I chose the RXS because it felt and performed great around the green and I got a huge amount of run after carry for my driver and 3 wood. I took advantage of a Pay for 3, get 4 deal and am waiting for the box to arrive. Should work well for 2024.
Hi JW! Thanks for watching and for sharing your experiences with people! That all sounds great! Best of luck with the Bridgestone - sounds like you got a good deal on them! 👍🏼
Nice review Luke! I just played a sleeve of BRX balls recently really like them! My last three rounds I played a sleeve of Callaway ERC Soft was real surprised at the distance I was getting throughout the bag! It messed me my game up, I was over shooting my targets! Lol! I played a sleeve of the Inesis 900 Tour, and liked those.
Hi Richard! Thanks for watching another video! I hope you are good? Yeah I’ve decided to buy a dozen of the BRX and see if I can get over the feel preference because the performance was great! I’ve never tried the ERC Soft! Interesting to hear about your experience. I’ve also never tried the Inesis balls either so will add both to the review list! Have a great weekend pal! 👍🏼
Totally agree Jeff! I’ve played the Tour Response for 2-3 years virtually non stop apart from a bit of on course testing to support my videos. The only reason I’ve considered a change is that I’ve been told by a respected fitter that I needed a bit more mid iron spin - and I’m hoping the move to the Bridgestone ball will give me that! Fingers crossed! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Great review, really thorough and helped me figure this out as well. I’ve played the RX, was considering moving to the RXS for more spin around the green, but I may go back to the B RX. Like you, may grab a sleeve of each and find out. Thx
Hi J! Thanks for watching and for your great comment! I definitely think if you can grab a sleeve of each and play 9 holes with one ball then the other etc. you’ll work out which you prefer feel and performance wise! Even better if you can hit a few shots on a launch monitor too! I haven’t tried the 2024 models yet though so keen to see if they differ slightly but my expectation is minor evolution rather than wholesale revolution! If that makes sense! All the best! 👍🏼
Hi Anthony! Thank you so much for watching my video and for your really kind comment! That’s exactly why I started the channel as a hobby - to make relatable content for the majority of golfers like me! All the best! 👍🏼
The key thing with the tour response is the stripe for alignment which overrides any minor differences for me at least. I seem to hole more putts with it which trumps all other attributes.
Hi Jim! Yep the alignment must be incredibly popular as TM have added it to TP5/5x more recently! I personally prefer just a line on my ball and did that even when I gamed the Tour Response! But I know a lot of people love it! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Hi Paul! As you’ve probably seen - I love the Q Star Tour - it’s a great ball and I think Srixon balls are criminally underrated! I’d definitely be happy playing the Q Star Tour! Great price you picked them up for too! Hope you’re good pal! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro I watched your video when I was considering them , I think there's lots of value between the Bridgestone, srixon and taylormade balls for us club golfers . Good luck with the channel 👍⛳
I have tried the B RXS but seemed to lose distance so am now playing the Titleist AVX so be interested to see where this fits. It won’t win on price but I don’t lose many balls so not an issue for me
Hi Phil! Thank you for continuing to support my channel by watching my videos! Based on what I know about the AVX it doesn’t surprise me that you lose a bit of distance with the Tour B RXS as a comparison! It’s one of the top of my list to test next (the AVX) as I need to get my head around how Titleist are pricing it at the same as Pro V1! So hopefully in the next 4-6 weeks I’ll drop it on the channel Phil and hopefully see all the good stuff you’re seeing! Have a great Sunday pal! 👍🏼
It’s always very difficult to determine which one is good for us…average golfer …..but in my case feel…&. Distance ERC Soft, distance AVX no spin at all and no stopping power …good for stormy weather for his low height, dispersion & reasonable distance Wilson Triad ….on putting ProV 1 but watch out on fast greens & Wilson Triad a bit slower then I tend to play shorter on putts but on fast greens 🎉). Not easy but this is golf a metaphor of life. 17 handicap, 74 y/o, -/+ 91 mph at drive, 78 mph at irons.
Hi ErEf! Thanks for watching my video and for sharing your own experiences! Amazing how similar our clubhead speeds are too! I think everyone needs to experiment a little like you have and find what’s right for them as we are all looking for our ball to help us with a weakness or enhance a strength. Whilst to some feel is super important and to others less so but I agree lots of great balls out there at different price points for golfers like us! 👍🏼
Great comparison, Luke! I subscribed. These are 3 of my favorites. I also love the new ERC Soft, which is just a fantastic all-around golf ball. Spin will be very similar to the Tour Response, however. There's just not really anything in that softer ball space that's going to spin appreciably more. If you're willing to go slightly firmer in feel, there's the Wilson Triad, the Vice Pro, the Srixon Z-star, and the Maxfli Tour and Tour S. Although maybe y'all can't get the Maxfli stuff in the UK, as they're a Dick's Sporting Goods brand. Anyway, those five are all a bit softer than a ProV1 and certainly cheaper than Titleist or Bridgestone, if that is a consideration. It is for me! Can't wait for the Trufeel/Supersoft etc comparison! Cheers from Nashville!
Hi Daniel! Thank you for watching, subscribing and for leaving such a great comment! I've got the ERC Soft on my list to test in the near future - looking forward to seeing what results I get! Agree with your point re: softer balls and spin! I really enjoyed the Wilson Triad and Srixon Z Star when I tested them! Not tried the Vice balls yet but they are also on my list and not too sure about the availability of the Maxfli in the UK - I don't recall seeing them but I could be wrong! I also think price is a massive factor for most people, myself included - I'm now playing the Bridgestone Tour B RX (there's a follow up video on my channel explaining this) but if I could get that performance for a cheaper price then I definitely would! All the best, have a great weekend! 👍
I think the next generation of the Tour B line is coming soon, and when that happens, if it's like last time, the price of the current line will drop down to roughly $35 US. At least I hope so! In the US at Target they're still selling the previous gen B-RX for about that. @@weekendtourpro
Well that was an eye opener. The Tour response was never on my radar, and I think I'll pass. I'm with you Luke, I prefer the softer feel ball, and that's probably why Bridgestone fitted me for the RXS. Those RX numbers were impressive though. So one fits my feel, the other meets my performance desires. Hmmm. Thanks for the testing Luke, I appreciate your time and effort on these videos.
Thanks Petro! Appreciate you watching! Interestingly I took the plunge and bought a dozen of the RX and actually got used to the feel quite quickly and I’m therefore happy to continue using it. I think it helps that my Mizuno irons feel very soft off the face though and I don’t notice the feel as much off the fairway woods and driver so it’s only wedges and putter I had to get used to it and that took a few rounds. Still LOVE the feel of the RXS though. One of my favourite feels of a golf ball ever. All the best!
Hi Richard! It’s coming soon! It’s nearly reached the top of my filming list! I’ll chuck the Wilson into it too. It’s going to be Supersoft, TruFeel, AD333 and now the Wilson! Thanks for watching this video and for your recommendation! I really appreciate it! All the best! 👍🏼
That would be great because I am a Wilson user and am curious how it compares as I love it's soft feel off the face and the fact you can buy second hand ones for less than a pound a ball 😂
Play the BRX 👌👌 try the wilson staff model ...ive playedthe BRx Tour response ...i like them both happily play either ..but enjoying my new wilson staff model as i bought 3 doz for 75.98 💪💪💪
Love it Pete! I’ve got the Wilson Staff model on my list! You’ll be pleased to hear I’ve followed through with my conclusion and bought a dozen Tour B RX and will be taking them out on the course this weekend! Hope you’re good pal! 👍🏼
I just order the bridgestone tour rxs from ebay in america for 96 dollars for 3 dozen that 17 dollars a dozen cheaper than the stores. I don't know if ebay ships to the UK but that was a real good deal.
Hi Jerry! Thanks for sharing! Hopefully people watching the video and checking out the comments will see this and take a look to grab themselves a bargain! Thanks for watching my video too! All the best! 👍🏼
What would you rather do... shoot an 81 and have the ball 'feel great', or shoot a 79 and not like the feel? To me, you want the ball that performs the best for your game and 'feel' shouldn't even be considered as part of the equation. In all my years of playing , no one has ever asked, "what did you score, and how did the ball feel?"
Hi Doug! Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion! It’s awesome that you are able to ignore how a ball feels! Like you say that allows you to solely focus on performance! However, you’re the first golfer I’ve met who has told me they don’t care at all about how their golf ball feels with most people telling me they want a ball that performs great and feels good in equal measure! On a personal level, I find playing a ball or club that I enjoy the feel of allows me to enjoy my golf more, which psychologically puts me in a better place to shoot lower scores. Obviously it’s impossible for me to validate that objectively but it’s just how I see things! All the best and thanks for your comment! 👍🏼
You always have such excellent reviews. You are fair-minded, do your best to evaluate each of these balls objectively, and use sound criteria. Thank you!
So this comment has nothing to do with this video. I was wondering what iron set you liked more, the paradym x irons or the ping g430 irons. My wrist is broken currently so I cannot go out and get fit or try them and I am to impatient to wait 😂 I also believe an opinion from someone who has hit both would be better than me just buying one lol
Hi Max! Thanks for the comment… first of all I hope your wrist is ok and you’re be back out on the golf course soon! Don’t rush it though - I know a lot of people who were too eager to get back from a wrist injury and it caused them more long term bother! Regarding your question that does feel like a lot of pressure on my shoulders! Haha! But I’ll give you my opinion and reasons why and hopefully it will help… If price was not factored in I’d go for the Callaway Paradym X because I preferred the feel of them and they were just great fun to hit. If you were asking me to include the Ping G425 irons from last year they’d be my pick as I loved them (might be able to grab a deal on a set?) but I was expecting the Ping G430 to build on them and I don’t think they really did… I also think the feel of Ping irons is a little firmer and can be a bit marmite; some people will love them, others will hate them. But if you’ve played Ping irons before then that’s worth taking into consideration as you’ll be familiar with them. I recently hit the Ping i230 irons and it was a similar feel. What I would say is neither option is a bad iron, both are great and performed excellent in my tests and from memory I found both as forgiving as each other... the Ping are cheaper though too! Hope that helps pal! If you’ve any specific questions feel free to follow up! 👍🏼

Hi Richard! You might be right - I did the test because I knew they were close!
