  • This is the last half of my build process for 3D patterned cutting boards. Part 1 documented the first half and you can watch that here: y2u.be/1eg9t-XpGvI
    I used maple, walnut & cherry and finished everything with mineral oil before sealing with beeswax.
    Originally, I wasn't planning on filming this entire build. Just a clip here and there to post on the other platforms (Instagram/Tiktok). After a little ways into it, I realized I had been filming almost everything anyways and figured I'd go all in. I decided it was too late to switch to the horizontal 16:9 ratio that's ideal for TH-cam and and chose to stick with capturing everything in the 16:9 vertical ratio.
    Enjoy the show!
    Ryan
    **This pattern is not my original creation. It belongs to @mtmwood who has plans available for purchase through his website.

    Yet another beauty. Based on the length of the videos, and your ability to edit, you could probably get dozens of entertaining shorts, using every keyword known to mankind related to cutting boards. Keep on truckin" !!

    Dude, those boards are incredible man. I’ve been building boards for almost a year now and want to do some 3D end grain ones. Most definitely going to make a few of these. Do you sell your boards and what do you charge based on size and type (end grain/edge grain)? I can imagine one of those larger ones being north of $500-$600 maybe more. And by the way, I as well would LOVE to have a DRUM SANDER! Must have it. :) does your planer have the regular cutter head or the Shelix? I follow Kris Devo who has a similar finishing process as you do.

    • @ryanhawkins
      @ryanhawkins  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just seeing this now Mark! I do sell the boards I make based on size and pattern. I only build end grain. The 16x20 is just over $600. I have the regular cutter head, not the shelix. I also follow Kris, very envious of his set up. All the best to you!

    Me imagino que precio tendrán ? Aquí unas tablas de esas de 30cm×35cm normales con diseños menos complicados bordean hasta los $ 50 , 60 dolares , solo porque la madera es media buena , aunque casi aquí no se ve mucho ese tipo de trabajos , Saludos

    The boards look great. Roughly how many hours do you have into these boards?

    • @ryanhawkins
