  • We go spend the day Mining at the Ocean View Mine located in San Diego County California. You get to see what I found at this pay to dig site. We found Colored Tourmaline, Morganite, Aquamarine, Kunzite, Smoky Quarts, Quarts Crystals, Triphane, Lepidolite, Cleavelandite, and more. I dug and screened for 5 hours straight and show you everything I got for my work. All our community links can be found on any of our blogs, scroll to the bottom of any bog for the links at radicalrocksusa.blogspot.com thank you and remember rockhounds don't die they petrify.

thank you for doing these videos man, my grandfather passed away about 4 years ago and he had a bunch of claims in arizona (we live in new mexico) and mined turquoise and gem silica there back in the 70's and 80's. when he passed a few years back he left tooooons of rocks in the back yard and in his shed for the longest time i didnt know what they were until recently i found out they were turquoise, and theres tons of the stuff but alot of it is chalky so i really appreciated your video on hardening, hahaha i have never really been much into rocks but these last few months with covid and all ive been starting to make cabachons with his old equipment, at first i thought the gem silica was the turquoise but eventually if figured out i gotta about 800lbs of turquoise, about 300pounds of gem silca and 600pounds or so a variscite and a literal ton of chrysocolla, lol so now im learning to work the stone so i can sell it cuz its hard to find buyers at first but ive managed to make a couple hundred so far lol here to hoping for more and thanks a ton for your videos, im learning alot!

@@MountainCryptoShane sure actually i was gonna ask if you had an email where i can send you a few pictures of some of the stuff im not sure about cuz im very new to mineralogy but i have lots of green and blue stone and i know for sure i have turquoise , variscite, chrysocolla and gem silica but i also have some blue green stones that are gorgeous and i have no clue if they're turquoise or what and they'res also alot of this white stone thats opalized inside but has matrixing like turquoise, stuff that looks exactly like some of the turquoise nuggets i have but is white (and its not howlite or focal magensite so im confused there) this beautiful brown stone that has electric blue veins going through it, it looks like lightning lol i mean there is just tons of stone and fossils too he mined everything, he was a big rockhound, lol and i never was before but im starting to really become obsessed with it again thank you for taking the time to make these videos its really appreciated!
