It makes me happy seeing you enjoy gods creations :) rocks and crystals are certainly beautiful. The simple things in life are the most enjoyable. Its awesome seeing how this makes you excited
Man, I have never been because I'm on the East Coast, and I can tell you that you should definitely still go. You gemstones of that quality are very good to have around, it's no different than having silver and gold bars/coins
@@johngallagher9151 I don't live in California anymore but will be visiting and have been planning to go. Last I checked it 75 per day trip. A bit pricey but worth the expense/ experience and taking home some of those minerals would really be exciting! Cheers
The one thing I wish they allowed was free range rockhounging. I understand why they do it this way but it takes most of the fun out of it. My opinion anyhow...
@@-themercyseat yeah, Hogg Mine is better and it has some Cat's Eye aquamarine and other beryl colors there too. And Star rose quartz. I do like Tourmaline though so I still want to go, I want to go find some green in Maine, too
Dude you keep folks so interested and inspired you could put a vid out everyday and people would be waiting with baited breath. You go to these exotic places but you let folks know they could go there too. Dude you’ll always be my mentor and #1 inspiration. Keep those vids coming. See ya when you get to the East Coast.👍🏽
I went to Pala once and was told by the owners to not fall in love with the purple rocks. For so long I didn't know it was lepidolote!! I took home a big chunk of it with pink tourmalines in it. Whaaaaaat!?!
That pink tourmaline with the petalite is gorgeous!!!!!!!! Wish I could visit a place like that and mine my own crystals! Thanks for the great video :)
cool. I have been to that area a long time ago. but no digging was allowed. thanks for sharing this.. several places to visit the next time my wife and I visit. California.
These stones are so cool! It’s like they’re from a whole other world. They’re from a different continental plate so... 🤷🏻♂️😂 I like to think they’re Lemurian or something. Definitely very very different from what I’m used to from the Midwest and south! So fascinating to think about the history of rocks! Much love Bryan and Dylan. Rock on!!! 💎👀💪
You are highly intuitive! I saw the lines on your right hand at 3:20 and the line to the Hill of the Moon is extremely long (actully on both hands) = you have a good connection to your feelings and intuition (inner tutor). I just love you....your doggy! Great video!
Out of the hundreds of gorgeous types of gemstones I have, my tiny piece of watermelon tourmaline is my favorite. I mean...it looks EXACTLY like a slice of watermelon: thin white part between the pink fruit and the green rind and all!
So great to see you checking out all these places out west Bryan! Love your vids and it's super fun to finally see some of these CA places I've been interested in.
I love watching your videos! It’s so cool to know that I can go hunt these gems so close to my residence! I’m only 100 miles from the pala mines! Thanks so much! Planning a trip to go down there now!
Bryan there were quite a few of the green crystals you found but my favourite was the gorgeous pink one. It cant be that easy spotting crystals in all that dirt though although wetting them does make it easier. I know I would have trouble though I think when you are used to seeing the crystals in dirt or mud must make it easier. When you had Matrix talking I laughed so much Terry came to see me and he found it hilarious and very clever editing as I did. You and Dylan have wonderful tans from the sun but I hope you are taking care as a close family member of Terry's has skin cancer and I worry about you both. Take care and stay safe please my friends God bless you all love and hugs to you Matrix and Dylan Mary-Ellen and Terry UK
Whhaaaaatttt Fire Agate in AZ on the nex episode? Wait until you find one that's got like a dragon's scales in it. That's a Whaaatttt moment definitely.
Beauty and laughter before breakfast!!! WOWEEEE!!! I Love tourmaline! So amazing! One of my favorite rings I own is pink tourmaline!! Those green spheres are incredible!! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the fruits of your labor!! That's my kind of vacation to strive for someday! So many places not to far away from me, ( Tucson ). Great times you all are enjoying!! 🌞👏🌸
I love your channel, cuz the way it's shot and edited is straight forward, thereby making it easy to live vicariously. When I can't rockhound I watch your channel (along with some others) to get my fix. I'll also binge "What's Hot Tucson" to see the fantastic specimens from all around the world. Also, if you can manage to ignore the oftentimes poorly done narration, ,those Patrick Voillot gemstone documentaries are killer. But anyway, The Crystal Collector has a good attitude and good taste in where to dig/hound. I truly, deeply, madly envy y'all being able to dig that Purple Heart amethyst. Just wwWOWww 🤤
Yeah I was hoping to make it out to Tucson this year but everything was kind of weird how it was happening. Next year will make it out and I want to make several videos showing the spectacular pieces out that way, can’t wait
I don’t like to normally put cost online because prices can change. But these bags were $50 each at this time. I just enjoy finding crystals, even the small ones, always brings a smile
Went thru Ramona, huh? Have a nice trip? 🤪 Or the other route? Can you imagine how much tourmaline there is at that level throughout San Diego county in rural areas... It's all desert, tho all you see are homes & cities...hmmm. Have to go home there this year. I'll let you know...if & where...yeah, right..😄 Great video btw. Tuni says "hi!" to Matrix...(her in pic)
I have this Tumbler and have been watching several videos on rock polishing. I saw your review video with this tumble which was helpful on whT not to expect. This video was Awesome thank you. I had ordered the aluminium oxide and it came literally the day you released this one. Hopefully in 10 days I will have Shiney rocks
Yeah hug mine is cool, went there are lots of times when the previous owner/lease was Digging there. I’m certain big large chunks are taken for sure but they don’t check for the small good stuff in for 50 bucks a bag it’s pretty good
@@TheCrystalCollector also, somehow I knew it was $50 a bag. I was guessing $40 or $50. I think they should only be $20 because it has already been touched. It's better to let people just dig the Earth, but I'm sure whoever owns the place doesnt want his or her $500,000 specimens and large expensive perfect pieces to be found by someone paying $50 to dig for a few hours
Omg Matrix at the end doing the whaaat! 🤣🤣🤣 Cool finds! I wish we had those kinds of things to do in Hawaii along with the other fun stuff to do here. Closest thing we have is finding pretty shells which is still fun! Can’t wait for the next video with That Camping Couple! 🤍
We were here 25 years ago, before ‘gem’ mining places were so popular. We didn’t do nearly so well. For sure this at least a legit pegmatite mine, not just lapidary scraps like other places.
I asked the owner about that, and he gets them from old tailings piles. I’m certain that if he sees a big chunk as he is loading the bags, he grabs it but he did tell me that lots of them pass by.
Just be aware that places like this where you buy the pay dirt, it has always been screened and cleared of the most valuable material then salted with enough to keep the average person happy. Occasionally there is a bonus stone deliberately added to make you think you are checking real pay dirt and generating publicity for the site.
Whaaaaaaat!
Thanks for watching & subscribing!
