This looks really great, they are so cute! For decades I've made impossible pies because I was lousy at crusts. I found that substituting entire can of sweetened condensed milk eliminates the milk and sugar components. The Bisquick recipe is what I adapted, makes a pie that isn't "weapy" .
Yum! I like the "single serving" approach. 😋👍 "Pumpkin" here (Michigan influence, lol). These little pies are the perfect size for me. 🥧 Have you ever tried substituting the FD butternut squash for the canned pumpkin, as a powdered mix...? 🤔 My mom was not really a baker and Gram preferred to make cobblers. So I didn't really learn to make my own pie crust or anything else until high school. ALSO, love that you did a spiral bound version. I like my binder, but spiral bound can be easier to refer to in the kitchen. Anyway, thanks so much for another fun recipe!!! 🙌😍💖
Hi!! I'm happy to hear these are a good size for you. They're just right for me too. I have subbed butternut squash for canned pumpkin in my pumpkin bars (like a moist cake that's cooked in a sheet pan) and they were amazing!! I haven't done it with pie though. I bet it'd be good. I'm not much of a baker because it's too much of a science, lol. I'm more of a "throw a pinch of that in there" kind of cook. But I can make a yummy pie crust! Haha Yes, I love my spiral bound cookbook. It's come in handy so many times. Thank you as always for such a kind and encouraging comment!!🥰
they said it was "upgraded" -- some sort of photo paper. I ordered it from Lulu online printing. I just uploaded my PDF file and they printed it and shipped it to me.
