I had my balls in my mouth when you were bringing it back. Half expecting to drop out of the sky in the final moments. I wonder how much reserve if any they build into these batteries? Is zero really zero or there is another 5% extra or so?

I have the dji spark and I saw in range test videos that it can go to 1 km and more but I never dare to go beyond 600m just because of conditions in my location
What an amazing flight. I already have a Spark and I've been mulling it over as to when I was going to buy a Pro 2 but after watching this flight I'm going to buy one this weekend. I hope you never lose a drone but your videos are so dramatic. Thanks for sharing that experience.

Zero is DJI's 20%... Maybe a little less stupidity involved than you think 😉
@@DustinDunnill LOL, Hubsan's 0% is like a minus 5% actual! Anything in the single digit range and you have a good chance of dropping from the sky! There are many reasons why I'm looking forward to my Mavic 2, but the safety margin in the battery is near the top.

Even on 0% battery I could fly it for a couple of minutes, DJI purposely did this as a safety feature

But I've heard that if the voltage falls under a certain value, it may damage the battery permanently

Battery is fine. Voltage did not drop to damaging levels. Just not good to do it often 👍
