I really appreciated the no filler crap that many others do on their videos. Straight to it. Also like the description of the tools right at the beginning so I know what I needed before we even began. Great description of little "tricks" such as the homemade jack, the front fork straps, the watch out for how to put the speedometer in correctly, check the front pads. Great job.

Thanks for explaining EXACTLY which tools I'm going to need. That saves some serious time with my usual guesswork in tool selection.

The best and easiest instructional video I've ever seen. You've given me the confidence I needed to change my own tire!! By the way, I also bought the same tire, so I feel like this video was just for me! I've seen that stand also on the 650 V Star "ccnd" website, where you can find all things v star 650 custom , classic and dragStar. Thanks a bunch!

You are most welcome. I left out so much, like balancing and tire spoons for removing the tire from the rim,
    thanks

Very good video Kirk , but on question did you install the tire on the rim yourself and if you did , did you use screw drivers like we used on peddle bike . Great accent from a Canadian !!! Thank YOU !!!

I squeezed my front brakes last weekend while changing the tire over. Nothing a screwdriver and some leverage didn't fix.

@wiley0714 If your 1100 came with spoke wheels than you will have a tube but if you have mag wheels than no tube is needed but can be used. Check the valve seam for a leek
put soapy water on the bead's of the tire(tubeless) and if they leek, use a piece of wood on the rim and hit it with a hammer at the leek. 650 and 1100 use the same tires. That is about the best I can do-ya.

Hey Bud. Came across your video as I have a slow leak in a rear tire. I have a yamaha 1100 Vstar with a Dunlop 170/80 SR15. Does that mean that I might need a new tube instead of a tire? I didnt even know cycle tires had tubes in them. Im not trusting enough to work on my own bike, but wondered if maybe i just need to buy a tube, which might be less than a whole new tire?

My bike did not have the spacer on the right side of the rim between the rim and the fork? Has anyone else seen this?
